[The sound of bombs ringing through the air are heard and the moment they stop the following logo shows up on the screen.]

[The sound of an explosion then bursts the logo into a million pieces and reveals the SCW Arena with the ring in the center of the view. The arena is sold out and packed to the top as we see them cheering loudly and hear the sounds of enthusiasm as our host announce team begins to speak.] CONLON:: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WELCOME TO THE FREE PORTION OF TONIGHT'S MEGA EVENT SHOWDOWN!!! [The image on the screen switches to show Stan "The Man" Conlon and Robert "The Gorilla" Smith sitting at ringside with headsets on. Both men are dressed in black suits and looking as dapper as can be for this special occassion as Conlon continues speaking.] CONLON:: I'm Stan "The Man" Conlon and with me is tag team legend, Robert "The Gorilla" Smith. SMITH:: Hello out there folks! CONLON:: Tonight is a monumental evening for SCW as we are presenting our first internet pay-per-view! SMITH:: Indeed it is, and it all starts with what we like to call the free taste! CONLON:: The next hour will be free for everyont that is watching on-line, as well as over facebook and youtube! SMITH:: And if you like what you see, click that buy button on the website and hunker down for some amazing Texas Wrestling! CONLON:: We have tons of action tonight, including the final four for the Lonestar Title Tournament all in battle. By the night's end, we will have our first champion! SMITH:: The Tag Titles up for grabs, as Davey-boy O'Brien and Keegan get their shots at Las Preguntas! CONLON:: Heel Nation in action as Harrison Daniels faces Jonny Bedlam and Michael Wilson does battle with an old foe Dylan Goyette! SMITH:: American Revival in action, as are Border Control and the trailer Park Assassinz and to add to all of that? CONLON:: What is it Gorilla? SMITH:: Oh not much....just a SIX MAN LADDER MATCH! CONLON:: The six remaining Lonestar quarterfinalists do battle to see who gets to be number one contender! SMITH:: It's a stacked night that begins right here FOR FREE! CONLON:: It does my friend! So let's take a few moments and hear from some of the men we will see in action during this special night!
[It's earlier in the day ... The ring crew going through and testing the ring for later in the night. The lights shine down bright in the Phoenix. Sitting in an empty arena is one of the four men who will be competing for the SCW Championship later in the night, "The Legend" Sean Darring. Still, in a white dress shirt and black slacks, the legend sits watching and taking everything in mentally preparing for the grueling night ahead.] LSD: When you look back at your career there are nights that stand out and define your career. Epic moments in time in this business that highlight your legacy and tell a story for those who come after you. Tonight is one of those nights. [You hear a loud "THUD" as the mat is being tested.] LSD: For four of us - Sagawa, Caleb Foley, Pat Gordon Jr, and myself ... One of us will leave this arena as the FIRST SCW Champion. The man who will stand at the top of that proverbial mountain setting the tone for all the champions to come afterward. Each one of us, with resumes that support our achievements. Each one of us, have earned our place in this night. Inside that ring, we will find out who will rise to the occasion and take that number of four down to one. [The savvy legend sits there reflecting back on the journey.] LSD: It started with a group of death. With great men like Michael Wilson and Pat Gordon Jr, I was doubted. Nobody thought the ol' legend had anything left in the tank. At times, it seemed like maybe they were right. However, with time the ring rust washed away and I stood at the top of the group of death beating both Michael Wilson and Pat Gordon Jr. [Classic Sean Darring smile.] LSD: However, that journey is only half the story. Tonight is the night where stories will be told. An epic night in SCW's history books. Our very first IPPV. Our very first Champion. I have to get through the wild, chaotic, and unpredictable Sagawa first. [A slow nod as the Legend continues.] LSD: There are no easy matches with a stacked roster like SCW has. The Group of Death? This whole tournament is a Group of Death! Nobody doubts that Sagawa could win this whole thing. He has been through some bloody wars, but tonight he is going to be ready. He is going to be ready to reach back and bring his whole chaotic arsenal and attempt to destroy me. It's worked for him, and it's what makes him a threat every time you step inside that ring with him. [The Legend points to the SCW ring that is now fully set up and ready for war.] LSD: There is no way I am looking past him. Caleb Foley and Pat Gordon Jr, they will have their own battle. They will tear each other apart telling their own story. You control the things you can control. Right now, my 20-30 minutes of survival against the deadliest man on the roster is all that is on my mind. [The Legend holds up his right hand with four fingers up.] LSD: Four contenders remain ... [Three fingers.] LSD: Three Matches ... [Two fingers.] LSD: Two men to fight it out ... [One finger.] LSD: One Champion. [The Legend nods in respect to the SCW ring.] LSD: Tonight in this arena stories will be written .... history is about to be made. Will it be a feel-good story with an Irishman standing tall? Will it be an unpredictable story with the wild man? Could the Chosen One, stand tall with that smug smile proving the critics right? Or maybe, just maybe the old legend has a few tricks left up his sleeve. After tonight another chapter begins. This empty arena will be filled with rabid fans. The bright lights will highlight the night as the story is told as SCW is placed on the map. [It's time to test the lights to the arena as it goes dark and so does the camera.]
[The screen shows Tess Wiley standing with the Prague Drinking Team as they prepare for their match tonight.] WILEY: Jan, Josef… [Hands on hips, Jan Bosko, open-mouthed, shakes his head and approaches Tess.] BOSKO: You don’t know who’s who, do you? WILEY: Er, you’re...no, I don’t. BOSKO: And you don’t care, so give me the microphone and you can sit this one out. [Wiley tuts before respecting Bosko’s request. In the end, she doesn’t seem too disappointed as she trots off.] BOSKO: Greco-Roman. We know you’re better than what you’ve shown and we aren’t underestimating you boys, which is actually worse for you because we’re going all out. [Josef Skala slings Jan a bottle, toasts it with his own, thus making that ‘ching-ching’ sound and gets in on the act] SKALA: Men against boys, Greco-Roman. We’ll beat you sober, drunk, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, it doesn’t matter to us. [Josef takes a swig before spraying the camera.] BOSKO: Good shot. SKALA: Just like the one I took on Mama Greco’s chest and the one I’m about to hit her son with in the ring soon. [Screen cuts away.]
[The screen switches to show Windham Brody standing in the interview area.] BRODY:: Johnny Psychotic, you call yourself the human heart attack. Some say you have a black Heart. [Pauses for a moment pushing the hair out of his face.] BRODY:: but what I wanna know is what are you going to do against a man with no heart? [Gives a quizzical look to the camera.] BRODY:: hey don't get it twisted man. I dig your work I really do. That bit with Sagawa really warmed the cackles if you get my meaning. But there's only one thing you need to realize right now that I'm not Sagawa. [Shakes his head no as he says this.] BRODY:: no I'm just a little more than that. I'm six foot six, three hundred and seventeen pounds of walking disaster and you'll find I'm just a little more difficult to throw around than he was. [Smirks at the camera.] BRODY:: but I look forward to this match and see what destruction we can unleash and just who will be remain standing at the end of it. [Paces a bit before continuing to speak.] BRODY:: now Tripp Skylark I know this is the day you've been dreading since you snuck out with that win the last time we were in the ring together. [A cold and cruel look appears on his face.] But me? I've been salviating for this opportunity. Why you ask? Because this time I'm not going to repeat those mistakes and show to world what happens when you make a fool out of me. Now Alfie button you seem to be a smart enough bloke to know what is good for you. So let me warn you once and only once if you get in my way it will not be good for you as a matter of fact it will be VERY BAD for you. As for other two individuals that will be added to this match. It doesn't matter because if they have suffered the worst part of their night then they are sadly mistaken. Because if they think I'm going to let them stand between and that number one contendership then you're damn fools as tonight marks the night everybody realizes the one true law around here and that's BRODY RULES!!! [The screen cuts away.]
[Tommy Gordon approaches El Principe as the masked man emerges through the curtain, but despite the surname, Tommy is waved off, though not before handing Principe the microphone that he beckons for. There is no language barrier in that instance.] [Screen cuts away.]
[The feed transitions to a pre-taped segment, conveniently labelled 'From YouTube'. As the footage begins to roll, the equally as helpful caption 'Two Weeks Ago' appears on the bottom left-hand side of the screen - and indeed, the setting of the segment does appear to be the arena the latest edition of Rampage emanated from. As the footage begins, a wobbly, handheld camera makes its way down a nondescript corridor, before turning to face an equally as nondescript door, from behind which faint voices can be heard. The lens focuses on this door no more than a second or two before sharply whirling around to reveal its wielder – none other than broad-shouldered SCW superstar, Big Boss Hogg. Smiling widely under his beard, the large man puts a playful finger to his lips as he mouths.] BIG BOSS HOGG: Let's surprise 'em... [With this, the large superstar pushes the door open, revealing the source of the muffled voices heard a moment ago – namely, the two self-styled Trailer Park Assassinz, seen doing some sort of victory dance as they yell.] BOTH: We-made-the-main-show! We-made-the-main-show! [Seeing their mentor enter the room, Brutalizer and Destruktor abruptly cease their chest-bumping, arm-waving and crazed hopping, reverting instead to a contrite, bashful posture. Hogg, however, does not at all seem angry or reproachful of his two charges, the broad smile never leaving his face as he places his camera down on a nearby table and approaches the duo, hands behind his back. Much to the contrary, he gestures encouragingly at the two Assassinz as he states.] HOGG: Don't go stoppin' on my 'count. I'm just as stoked as y'all. In fact... [The smile on the big man's face grows even wider as he removes his hands from behind his back, revealing a bundle in each of them.] HOGG: ...in fact, y'all two earned this. Here. [The two masked men practically pounce upon each of the two parcels, which they proceed to eagerly and noisily rip open, in child-like enthusiasm. The contents of the packages do nothing to quell their excitement – much to the contrary. The duo's shrill, eager demeanor is turned up to eleve as each reveal the prize inside their respective bundle and holds it up for the other to see.] BOTH: Holy BLEEP! NEW MASKS!!!! [Indeed, the two men are now clutching identical, brand new red-and-black lucha libre masks. Such is their surprise and gratitude that they only barely stop themselves from hugging Boss Hogg, instead settling for profuse thanks.] BOTH: Oh my GAWSH! Thanks, Boss! [Hogg, however, reacts to his charges' effusions with only a vague, humbly dismissive gesture.] HOGG: Don't thank me. Like I said...y'all deserve it. [Brutalizer and Destruktor, however, are no longer listening to Boss; instead, they seem more focused on slipping on their brand new masks in place of their old ones. Hogg, however, is quick to stop them in their tracks, shooting the duo a significant look as he points towards his own camera. He then promptly blocks the lens with his bulk, simultaneously leaning down to turn the camera off and give his charges some privacy. A moment later, the feed returns to the present day, and the site of SCW's first Pay-Per-View since its inception.]
[The screen returns to our ringside broadcast team.] CONLON:: From the looks of things, the SCW locker room is more than ready for what is to come tonight! SMITH:: They better be. This is their first truly large stage and if they ever want the stage to be bigger, they need to step up right now! CONLON:: Well up next Gorilla, we have the first match of the night between “The Fat Man” Steve Dann and Gemini. SMITH:: Great, the buffet lines at Golden Corral are thanking us, while the boards of the ring curse us. [Conlon stifles a snicker] CONLON:: That’s aN astute observation. [As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]

GEMINI -VS- "The Fat Man" STEVE DANN

[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON:: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is set for one fall and has a fifteen-minute time limit! Introducing first already in the ring, from parts unknown, standing six feet, three inches tall and weighing in at two hundred, forty-four pounds. Here is... G E M I N I ! ! ! [Gemini raises his hands, looking focused and as though he feels this is his night. The fans give him a kind response as he nods in appreciation to them.] CONLON:: He certainly seems ready, Gorilla. SMITH:: Looking the part is only a small part of the equation of a champion. CONLON:: Without a doubt. But wouldn't you say without it, you aren't ready at all? SMITH:: Absolutely! You have to believe to succeed! [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON:: And his opponent, hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana and weighing in at three hundred, seventy pounds.... "T H E F A T M A N" S T E V E D A N N! ! ! [A cajun-themed instrumental begins to play ove rthe PA system, and it is a lively tune. The fans react mixed to Dann as he steps behind the curtain. He smiles and acts like he is the grand master of mardis gras as he walks down the aisle waving almost condescendingly to the fans near the aisle. He gets to the ring and steps through the ropes, and seems to not be affected when he doesn't get the pop he is expecting. He holds his arm up anyway and then goes to the corner to await the start of the match.] CONLON:: Dann seems to get bigger every time I see him. SMITH:: I couldn't say myself, but I would caution you never to say that to his face. CONLON:: No worries in that. I don't think anyone is that dumb! SMITH:: You may be surprised. [Referee Marshall Noblitt checks both competitors for weaponry. He then wipes his hand on his pants afterwards. He asks both men if they’re ready, and then stiffly walks over to the ropes and stiffly signals to the timekeeper. The bell rings.] SMITH:: My God, Noblitt is stiffer than Bill Clinton at a Mary Kay convention. Is the guy’s blood made of tar? CONLON:: Southwestern Championship Wrestling has no knowledge of the makeup of the blood of our officials. SMITH:: THen where do you send the piss tests? [Dann and Gemini “charge” at each other. Dann begins to wheeze from the effort. They lock up in the center of the ring and begin to torque each other. The much lighter, but still stout, Gemini winces at the effort of trying to make a move on Dann.] SMITH:: Didn’t realize he needed his heavy equipment license today, did he Stanovich? CONLON:: Neither man seems to be able to get an advantage this early. [Dann manages to push a leg behind Gemini’s and trip the lighter man. Dann immediately drops a Senton across the neck and face of Gemini, sending every molecule of air out of the man’s body.] CONLON:: Steve Dann sure put a pressing on Gemini there. Let’s see if he has some more in store for him. [Dann huffed and puffed as he pulled himself to his feet. He attempted, surprisingly, another Senton Splash. It hit canvas and wood though as Gemini luckily rolled out of the way.] CONLON:: He didn’t want another taste of that ripe rump of Dann’s! SMITH:: Do you listen to yourself Conlon? [Dann remained seated, having hurt his ample posterior somewhat. Gemini got to his feet and moved to the ropes quickly. He springed off the second rope and hit Dann with a slingshot clothesline. Amazingly, Dann did not move, though it did seem to hurt him.] SMITH:: What a fat tub of shit this guy is. CONLON:: Is management going to have to warn you about that language again Gorilla? SMITH:: Management? You mean the guy with the cleanest country singer t-shirt in the back? CONLON:: Oh stop it! You’re incorrigible! Well, rumors of an SCW television title have been confirmed, speaking of management. One of these competitors might establish himself as an early contender with a convincing win, don’t you think? SMITH:: I suppose. I mean, wouldn’t we have to get it adjusted to fit Dann? It’d hang real loose on every successive winner, I bet. [Gemini got to his feet again and moved backwards towards the ropes. He framed Dann in his vision and charged once again, this time hitting a low Yakuza kick to his seated corpulent opponent. This time, Dann did fall over. Gemini hit a cover, but could not lift his opponent’s leg] CONLON:: He’s going to try and make quick work of this match with a lateral press, but unfortunately no leg hook. SMITH:: Smart move. ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THHHHHHRRRR....................NOOOOOOOO!!! [Ripples emerged in Steve Dann’s dunes of flab as he powered out of the cover. Dann then pushed Gemini off him but not before he placed him in a head lock. Dann then began to pummel Gemini’s ribs and side with his free hand. Dann wrenched back the headlock. CONLON:: What admirable use of a first day of training camp move! SMITH:: Looks like he’s twisting a ketchup bottle cap he can’t quite open. [Dann continued to pummel Gemini until his opponent slackened somewhat. He hauled Gemini to his feet, then lifted him up into what appeared to be a suplex, but held him up in the air with considerable strength. Then, after quite a few seconds, he dropped Gemini with a delayed brainbuster directly onto his head. A sickening thud was drowned out by the thunderous sound of Dann following his opponent to the mat.] SMITH:: I think our ring boards are about to go on strike after that one. CONLON:: What impact with the delayed brainbuster. Dann really has seized the momentum back in this match. Let’s see what he has in store for Gemini next! [Dann hauls his considerable body to its feet once more. He surveys the destruction below him and pivots his head towards the crowd. He does a thumb across the neck. The crowd cheers.] CONLON:: As Edward G Robinson used to say, it appears to be “coitans” for Gemini. [Dann hauled Gemini back to his feet, and placed him in a suplex hold once again. Dann lifted his body up and held it there once more. This time though, Gemini wriggled and writhed and swung his body down and landed on his feet behind Dann. Gemini threw three pistoning elbows with both arms to the side of Dann’s head and left Fat Man dazed. ] CONLON:: A totally unexpected turn of events, Gemini reverses what could have been the coup de grace and appears in the driver’s seat now. SMITH:: Well at least it’s someone who can fit in a standard driver’s seat. [Gemini snaked his arm underneath Dann’s sweaty hock and placed a hand behind his head while wrapping a choking arm around his front and grabbing his other wrist with it for a Kataha Jime. Gemini cinched the choke in hard. The always winded Dann was gasping scarily.] CONLON:: Ohh my, they may need to put an early end to this. SMITH:: I think the blame would solely be on Dann if something tragic were to occur. [Nobblitt appeared very concerned and continually questioned Dann if he was able to continue. Dann wheezed and his tongue stuck out frighteningly, but the sideways jiggles of him shaking his head “no” continued.] CONLON:: This could be the match folks. This could be it. [Dann stopped moving for a moment and his eyes closed. Nobblitt went to reach for his arm to pull it up, but couldn’t move it much. It didn’t matter though, because at that moment, Dann sprung back to life and threw himself backwards with all his might onto his opponent, crushing him sickeningly into the mat, and causing him to break the hold.] CONLON:: Ohh wow, we may need to arrange for a spatula to be brought to ringside to assist Gemini out of the arena. SMITH:: Ya know Stan, that was almost funny...in 1938. [Both wrestlers were on the mat, and Dann had somehow rolled himself to his knees, though his belly was still nearly full on the mat. Dann was still huffing and puffing from the effort. Gemini was barely conscious and clutching his midsection. Dann pulled himself to his feet, with nearly Herculean strength and leaned down to stare at Gemini.] CONLON:: It seems rather foolhardy not to attempt a fall here. I wonder what Dann has in mind. SMITH:: Maybe he’s trying to show us he’s more than just a tub of shit who falls on people? [Dann yanked Gemini to his feet, but Gemini continued to slump over and could only stand groggily. He looked sick and hurt at the same time. Dann motioned to the crowd with the thumb across the throat again. Then Steve Dann jumped, grabbed Gemini in a 3/4 facelock and brought him down with…] CONLON:: The Cookie Cutter, it would seem! Let’s see if that’s all folks. SMITH:: It felt rather cookie cutter… [Dann rolled his massive bulk atop Gemini for the cover. Noblitt dove down and made the count smartly, out of sympathy for Gemini.] ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONLON:: Steve Dann with a resounding victory to start off this night of action! SMITH:: He really pulled that out. Gemini never really stood a chance! [Dann raises his arms to a moderate heel pop.] CONLON:: Showdown night is officially under way here in The Phoenix Arena in Dallas, Texas! SMITH:: This is going to be a trmendous night filled with action. CONLON:: It really is, so let's go hear from some more of those man who we will see in the main show matches!
[The backdrop is the normal SCW interview area, but the emotion surrounding this event makes it seem even more impressive/ Standing in front of the backdrop with the SCW logo is Dylan Goyette. The young man is in his wrestling gear and has nobody to interview him, but it doesn't stop him from speaking.] GOYETTE: This moment has been destined to happen for years. [His face is resolute as he continues.] GOYETTE: For years, I endured hearing your name mentioned with both respect and disdain. [He makes air quotes and speaks in an extremely high pitched mocking voice.] GOYETTE: Michael Wilson is the longest reigning champion ever. Michael Wilson was somebody who never let anyone get the better of him. Michael Wilson was an asshole who cared more about himself than anything. [He puts his hands down and returns to his natural voice.] GOYETTE: You were an example to me, Mike. Even when you were no longer there, you set a benchmark I desired to erase. When I won the World Title there, my first statement was, "I want to have it longer than Wilson did." [He pauses for a second and shakes his head.] GOYETTE: There wee rumors you were coming back to try and make sure I didn't reach your record. That you were so arrogant and petulant that you wanted nobody to have what was yours. Once I started nearing the one year mark, those rumors got louder. [He again goes quiet for a second, as if pondering something, and then continues.] GOYETTE: My mistake was worrying about the where and when those rumors would come to fruition. I became unfocused and actually lost the title before I probably should have. And then like that... [He snaps his fingers.] GOYETTE: The rumors ceased. No reason for you to come back and take me on if your record wasn't at stake. Your pride had been protected by my foolish worry. We should have squared off long before tonight, and you know that as well as I do. As something tells me you have had the same concerns I once had. [He grins a bit.] GOYETTE: You signed on here knowing my father was involved. And I know you started thinking to yourself if I would walk through that door. In all honesty, I was all but retired. Multiple concussions have taken their toll in a short time and I was content to stay at home with my children and let my wife be out there winning titles and getting glory. I had ZERO drive to be in the ring again. [He pauses. This time it is longer and almost poignant.] GOYETTE: You see, I wasn't here for you, Mike. I was simply here to see a show and have my family visit their grandfather. I was here to be entertained. I was here to enjoy myself like any other fan. [Any joy in his face has now faded away. His expression one of focus and frustration.] GOYETTE: Then you came out with your little boy-toy, Daniels. [Another pause. It is clear these two really bug him.] GOYETTE: You were right there and acting as cocky as ever, treating your opponent as disgustingly as you possibly could. I rooted against you, as you can imagine. I knew you weren't going to lose. No way that would happen, but I still cheered Jasmine on as best I could. Then something happened... [He smirks.] GOYETTE: Your eyes met mine. This was not one of those enchanted kind of thing, but a moment when two lions see each other and it stirs something inside them. You saw the one historical threat to you that ever existed elsewhere. You saw the one who was primed to erase you from the history books. You saw the one man that you always figured would show up. [His smirk widens to a smile.] GOYETTE: And like my worry about you cost me a title reign, your worry of seeing me cost you a match. [He laughs a little before continuing.] GOYETTE: I don't think you really cared about Jasmine the moment you saw me. For some reason all you wanted to do was accost me as I was at ringside. You yelled at me, taunted me, and tried to disrespect me all that you could. All it did was backfire and make you lose. And I was content with that. I felt it was right that you lose a match you should normally win easily. [The smile disappears.] GOYETTE: You couldn't leave it alone. You had to come out on Rampage and talk all sorts of s[BLEEP] about me. My Father wasn't fast enough to stop me from walking out there to shut you up. And with every step toward that ring, I felt the old me returning. The man who wanted to dominate the wrestling world. The man who had everything to prove and nothing to lose. Each step closer to confronting you and your puppet in the ring, I grew stronger and more fierce. [He pauses and his face is starting to turn a tad red as his anger is showing.] GOYETTE: You stood there and berated everything I held dear, but to call me what you did. To say something that disparages my mother and my father. To call me a bastard was the last f[BLEEP]ing thing I was willing to endure. [He takes a breath to calm himself.] GOYETTE: Tonight we finally meet and settle all of it. Tonight we get to see who is the better man inside the ring. I will promise you Wilson that I will die in there rather than let you get your hand raised. I don't care what I have to do. When this match is over, my hand will be raised and you? [The smirk returns.] GOYETTE: You will be a memory. [Smirk disappears.] GOYETTE: I hope you are ready, Wilson. Because I'm going to F[BLEEP you up! [He walks off as the screen fades to black.]
[The screen shows Steve Blin standing with "The Fat Man" Steve Dann backstage after his victory.] BLAINE: Steve Dann, congratulations on an impressive performance and victory over Gemini. What does the future hold for you? DANN: From one Steve to another, my whole career has been up and down, up and down. But, when I’m on it, I’m a nightmare to deal with. Over three hundred pounds with deceptive technique, deceptive quickness and deceptive stamina, I can beat anyone on any given day and that’s why you never count me out. It’s not over until the Fat Man sings. BLAINE: When are we going to hear you sing? DANN: I’ll have a tune ready and waiting for the TV title I’m set to take in twenty twenty. How about that? BLAINE: Sounds good. Congratulations, Steve Dann. [Screen cuts away.]
[Letter flash onto a black screen and read...] Somewhere else In the past. [The following video begins to play as the words disappear.] [The wind howls as the brisk autumn evening draws in. Clouds fly across the deep purple sky, the moon coming and going from view as the clouds roar past. The few remaining amber leaves relinquish their grip on the trees and fly through the air. Crisp, brown leaves roll around the slightly overgrown grass underfoot.] DANVERS: It has been a long time old friend. DORITOS: Too long. DANVERS: Tell me, have you come to kill me once more? DORITOS: I think we both know the answer to that, Doctor. [Danvers tilts his masked face slowly to one side.] DANVERS: Hmm… [Suddenly the air is cut. The glistening of something silver swings through the air. Danvers ducks his head to one side, narrowly avoiding the hunting knife of Doritos.] [Danvers punches the forearm of Doritos hard and the knife drops loose. He swings a quick boot and hits Doritos with a low blow. He grabs the shovel from the ground and raises it high above his head!] [Doritos leaps into the air, front drop kicking Danvers hard in the solar plexus! Danvers flies backwards, hitting the tree trunk hard.] [Danvers is winded as Doritos kip ups to his feet.] DORITOS: A man with no soul who crawls out of a hole… [Danvers looks up, holding his chest.] DORITOS: For aeons he walks this land with no home. [BANG!] [A flash from the hip of Doritos and Danvers slowly slides down the tree trunk, leaving a trail of blood behind him. He groans in pain and rolls over, lying face first in the freshly turned over dirt of his own grave.] DORITOS: Only to be sent back to hell with a whimper and a moan. DORTIOS: In his tomb he finally lays. All thanks to the snack made entirely of maize. [Doritos raises his hand high into the air and drives it down hard narrowly missing the face of Danvers.] [His arm disappears beneath the ground for a few moments. As he pulls his arm back out of the grave he holds in his hand the small box Danvers had earlier buried.] [Doritos stands, towering over Danvers.] DORITOS: We shall meet again. In this life or the next. Until then. [Doritos grabs the top of his Doritos-bagged head as if doffing his cap. The bag crinkles.] [He turns and walks away, leaving Isaac Danvers for dead.] [Again.] [The screen goes black.]
[We return to our ringside broadcast team.] SMITH:: What the hell was that? CONLON:: I honestly don't know, but it looks like a rivalry that may never end! SMITH:: We need to Mystery Sciene Theatre that as soon as possible! [The two share a chuckle.] CONLON:: Might be worth a conversation. SMITH:: You think? [“Boomer Sooner” the Oklahoma University fight song plays as El Gringo Loco XLVII and Pat Gordon, Junior make their way to the ring. EGL is wearing both of the SCW Lonestar Tag Team Title belts around his waist, showcasing the championship success the Cartel already has, while Gordon has his “It’s in the Bag” duffel bag (available for $29.95 in the SCW Shop at scw.fwrestling.com!) slung over his shoulder. ] CONLON:: Looks like we are about to have company! SMITH:: I should say so! [The leader of the Cartel, El Gringo Loco, grabs a microphone from the timekeeper’s table before he climbs the stairs and holds the ropes open for Pat Gordon, Junior, who then returns the favor. Don Loco is incensed.] CROWD: BIEN-VEN-I-DOS! BIEN-VEN-I-DOS! BIEN-VEN-I-DOS! EGL: Callate! Callate! There will be none of that tonight, porque estoy furioso! Hank Wright, Chris Hopper, whoever made that terrible, incredibly biased decision to ban managers from ringside for the semi-finals and finals of the Lonestar Heavyweight Championship tournament, es una injusticia! Yo soy El Padrino de El Cartel and a licensed manager. It’s my right to be there at ringside and watch as Patricio Gordon beats the living tar out of Caleb Foley and then either SAGAWA or Sean Darring. It doesn’t matter which one of them wins the other semi-final, because neither of those lowly wannabe champions are even worthy to lick Patricio’s boots clean. It’s my right to be at ringside to watch proudly as Patricio Gordon, in his moment of glorious victory, as he raises that championship title belt high above his head, cementing his status in the history books as the first ever Lonestar Heavyweight Champion that SCW has ever seen. And trust me, at the end of the night, that image is what we will all see. And as for you, Caleb Foley, the one who ran to SCW management to get this unfair rule made in the first place, well you made a grave mistake when you shot off your mouth about Patricio Gordon, hijo. [El Gringo Loco passes the mic to Pat Gordon, Junior, who doesn’t seem too pleased, either.] PGJR: Caleb Foley, EGL told me what you had to say on Twitter, about how I’m a disgrace to my family name and how my dad did everything “by the book.” Isn’t that just peachy? Well, let me tell you a thing or two about my old man. It’s funny how everyone romanticizes him, how everyone looks at him through rose colored glasses and make him fit to your own ideals and codes of honor. The truth is that Senior knew you had to break a few eggs to make an omelet, and he had his own ideas about honor and respect. See, in my father’s mind, if you respect your opponent, then you do whatever you gotta do to win. He’d claw, scratch, bite... Heck, he’d hit his opponent with a chair if that’s what it took. He used every trick in the book and did everything he could to win. That’s how he showed his respect. That was his code of honor. It’s a way of thinking he tried to pass on to me, and for years it was a way of thinking that I rejected. But now, El Gringo Loco has shown me that I was wrong. Now, my old man can look down at me with pride in his eyes when I’m holding that Southwestern Championship Wrestling Lonestar Heavyweight Title above my head. And don’t think for one second that there’s gonna be any other outcome, because with El Gringo Loco there or not… [Pat Gordon, Junior points to the words on his duffel bag.] PGJR: It’s in the bag! [“Boomer Sooner” plays as the Cartel leader and his minion make their way back to the locker room to await Pat Gordon, Junior’s match on the iPPV.]
[The view returns to Smith and Conlon at ringside.] CONLON:: There you have it! Pat Gordon Junior obviously laying his claim to the Lonestar Heavyweight Title! SMITH:: The guy has plenty of skills and we all know he can back it up. CONLON:: But not being able to have his manager at ringside could hinder him. SMITH:: Anything can happen! That is what is so great about the SCW! CONLON:: Folks, hear are some more words from our combatants this evening!
[The camera opened up inside of an office space. As the camera panned the area about, everyone at home would see two empty chairs, a large wooden book case, a large wooden shelf with a variety of belongings sitting upon each shelf. A voice was then heard in the background..] VOICE: "Ahem ..." [The camera then panned over, and brought into the view of the desk. An expensive looking red cherry desk sat in front of a spun around the chair. The black, plush chair had it's back to the camera lens, and a large red cherry mantle sat behind the desk and chair. On the mantle sat a plethora of trophies, and a shined, glistening World Championship title. In between the mantle, hung prominently, the icon flag. Black backing with white stripes, the viewers knew they were in no ordinary office. As the camera panned down from the symbolic Heel Nation flag, the chair slowly spun around and seated comfortably in the black plush leather chair, chewing on a stick of gum would sit the Heel Nation leader himself, Michael Wilson. Looking into the camera with his icy blue orbs, he began speaking.] WILSON: "I'm coming to you from my office in Long Island on this brisk Saturday morning, the ..." [He paused for a moment and glanced down at his calendar, moving his finger along the dates before looking back to the camera.. as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on the desk.] WILSON: "Seventh day of December. In a few short hours, I will be boarding a private jet down to Dallas, Texas for the big SCW show. I'm ecstatic for the Sunday evening match I'm having this time around ..." [Wilson rolled his eyes and continued to chew his gum. Slowly leaning back in the comfortable luxury chair.] WILSON: "I mean ..Don't get it wrong, people, I don't disregard, I don't underestimate, and I don't look past any opponent. You see, I'm not Dylan Goya. I'll never be Dylan Goya, and quite honestly, I'm perfectly fine with that. Although, I do enjoy his brand of beans, so kudos to that.." [Wilson gave a cocky smile, and a thumbs up to the camera. Chewing his gum, he leaned forward again and rested his elbows on his desk.] WILSON: "However, this is a major reason why, Dylan failed to remotely reach my unprecedented record and success. I'm not you, Dylan. And unfortunately for you, you're not me. Look around, buckaroo ..EVERYTHING you see here in this office, on my estate, in the ring, every which way you look at it ... I EARNED. I told you to your stupid looking face at Rampage, you've had everything handed to you. Do you even know why? I mean ... did you ever actually sit down, look in the mirror and say ... Hey, how did all these things just get handed to me by daddy dearest?" [Wilson shrugged and threw his arms up.] WILSON: "You know why you've never done that? Because you're a spoiled little shit, with quite frankly, a stupid looking face. You, essentially remind me of the Eli Manning on a regular basis. Let me tell you why you were handed everything from your father ... He felt bad. Plain and simple. He felt bad, Dylan. He felt bad that he wasn't around when you were a little tike, buddy. He felt bad because he knew you were a bastard, and just a mistake. But, your dad knew he had to deal with his mistake. So what did he do, Dylan? Hmm ...lets see..." [Wilson sat back, tapping his finger on his temple and gave a 'Eureka!' look.] WILSON: "Ah ha! He brought you to that dumpster fire, CWF. One night, while he was playing tummy sticks with LORD RALTON, it was decided that you would bed and wed his trailer park trash of a daughter, and be given the inevitable push of a lifetime from those moronic imbred Levinskys. Boom. Title shot. Boom. Title reign. Great .. FANTASTIC. It did not last, not because the Levinsky's still didn't just adore you. Not because you weren't apart of that inner circle, you know, the circle jerk. No ... It didn't last because you are simply and honestly, NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH." [Wilson slowly started to become a bit more agitated, and continued to chew his gum. Leaning forward, he once more rested his elbows on the desk and looked sternly into the camera.] WILSON: "You weren't good enough then. You, sure as the Sun will rise and set, are NOT good enough now. You're not me. You'll never be me. You will ALWAYS fail to compete with me. I'm not your father, Dylan. But, I'm going to have to do what your ABSENTEE father never did, and teach you some respect, and discipline. I'm going to be the man, that your father NEVER was. I'm going to be the man that BEATS it all into you. SON ... It's going to hurt you, a hell of a lot more than it's going to hurt me." [Wilson took a breath, and then returned to sitting comfortably in the chair. Leaning back slightly.] WILSON: "The entire Heel Nation knows what's brewing in SCW. The entire SCW knows what's brewing in SCW. Your dad, is not an idiot, Dylan. He knew exactly what he was doing when he put this match together. He knows what I'm going to do to you. He knows how I'm going to embarrass you and send you back to that shit show in Austin. Why do you think he signed you to a one night contract? You're going to be damaged goods after tomorrow night at Showdown. You're not going to impress your father. You're not going to impress you father in law. You're not going to impress your wife. You're not going to impress your kid. You know why you're not going to impress ANY of them? Because you're going to fail. Because you're a failure. Because you've been letting them down for years." [Wilson laughed smugly to himself as he continued to chew his gum.] WILSON: "Let me run something down for you, Dylan. I forcefully took my break in CWF. i forcefully pounded Dominick Shore into the mat and TOOK that thing behind me that's shining oh so bright. I forcefully reigned for FIVE HUNDRED and THIRTY FIVE DAYS. I forcefully tore apart the inner circle and COMMANDED the industry for almost TWO YEARS. I forcefully did it, by MYSELF. I forged my way through this industry to the point where YOUR dad came after ME to come to SCW ... Not you. The way I forged my way in this business, is going to be the SAME exact way I forge my way through SCW...." [Wilson leaned forward with that Cheshire cat like grin, stretching across his five o'clock shadowed face.] WILSON: "BY FORCE. The Heel Nation is here, buckaroo. There isn't a damned thing you, your daddy, or ANYONE on this roster can do about it. At Showdown, tomorrow night ...I'm not holding back. I'm not showing mercy. I'm not showing restraint. I'm going to beat that STUPID, DUMBFOUNDED look off of your Eli Manning looking face. This is my show, Dylan, and just sit back and be happy that I'm ALLOWING you to be apart of it. Understand, Dylan ... all I'm doing is speaking the truth, because that's what I do and that's all I have ever done. Dylan ... At Showdown ..." [Wilson stood up from his chair and slammed his palms down onto the cherry wooden desk as he leaned over and looked into the camera intently.] WILSON: "Be ready to be absorbed in the phenomenon that is Michael Wilson and the Heel Nation Movement. In Heel ... You will trust." [Wilson winked as the camera feed cut out.]
[El Gringo Loco is standing in front of an SCW backdrop with Las Preguntas flanking him on either side. EGL is wearing the SCW Lonestar Tag Team Titles around his waist.] EGL: There’s no reason that Las Preguntas should have to defend the Lonestar Tag Team Titles tonight. They just defended them not that long ago against Davey-Boy O’Brien, and he lost! I can’t understand for the life of me why he’s getting a rematch tonight. But rest assured, what Davey-Boy got on Rampage is just a small taste of what’s in store for him and Keegan tonight. Davey-Boy, I told you that you made a mistake when you chose not to join the Cartel, and you’re making another mistake going into this Texas Tornado Grudge Match for the tag team titles. This is our environment, Davey. Anything goes. No countout. No disqualification. No tagging in and out. In any other match, I’d say you have a fair shot. I did invite you to join the Cartel, after all. But this is our wheelhouse. The only thing you have going for you tonight is that you have the three time Fighting Zone Champion Keegan with you... That is, if he can even manage to drag his tired, broken down, old carcass off the davenport and down to the ring. MARCA: Esta noche, lucharemos ferozmente. Nos iremos con la cabeza en alto y el Campeonato de SCW Lonestar Tag Team en nuestra posesion, Damos la bienvenida al desafio! EGL: You heard what he said. [The screen cuts away.]
[The interview area is now in view with the SCW logo in the background. Standing in the forefront is Tommy Gordon, SCW interviewer extraordinaire, in his tuxedo for the iPPV event. On his left is The Son of Malta and standing next to him is "Good" Gordon Gaines.] GORDON: Fans, with me now are The Son of Malta and Gordon Gaines! Gentlemen, tonight you have a tag team match against the Health Fanatics. What made this match have to happen. GAINES: Disrespect. GORDON: Really? [Gaines grabs the microphone from Tommy's hand and just rolls.] GAINES: Yes, really. We are minding our own business backstage last Rampage and those two idiots come up and start telling us how my training is wrong and out of touch with current techniques. Then they tell this man... [He points to Malta.] GAINES: ...that the way he was training me was wrong. When my mentor told them that he was training me the same way that William Arthur Reagan trained him, they disrespected HIS teachings. [Malts pulls the microphone in front of his face.] SON OF MALTA: Those idiots said that my training was wrong, that I did not know what I was doing. If they had disrespected me I would have taken it with a pinch of salt, but when they attacked my training methods they were attacking the man himself. They were attacking one of the biggest names in professional wrestling. They were attacking William Arthur Reagan. I am passing to Gaines what WAR passed to me, and thus when they criticised my training methods they were criticising his. And when that happens, you must react! [Gaines jumps right back in.] GAINES: I'm not going to tolerate any of that kind of garbage anymore. I've been treated like a loser my entire career until this man right here took me in and began working with me. Was it our fault that the fight happened backstage? [He looks at Malta, who nods to answer.] GAINES: You're damn right it was. I threw the first punch. I knocked Somner to the ground. I wanted to beat that stupid smirk off his face! And if security hadn't gotten in the way, there would be no match tonight because you two would be on the shelf! [Malta puts his hand on Gaines' shoulder and calms him.] SON OF MALTA: Son, remember the first thing I taught you, keep your emotions away from the ring. I am glad they are letting us finishing the match in the ring, cos there you will be able to control your emotions and keep them out of the fight. And only then when you are in perfect synchronisation between your body and mind, you can focus 100% on the match and give them a beating that will never forget. On the otherhand if you let your emotions run wild, you will suffer and we will end up losing. Don't fall in their trap! Now let's just continue our final preparations prior to tonight's match. [Malta leads Gaines out of camera view as Tommy Gordon gets the microphone back.] GORDON: Well, it looks like these two are ready for their match on Showdown! [The screen cuts away.]
[The Informer stands in the interview area joined by Alfie Button.] THE INFORMER: Alfie, you went three and oh in the group, odds-on to slide past SAGAWA and into the semi-finals, but it wasn’t to be. Alas, you won’t be competing to be SCW’s first Lonestar champion. However, you have an opportunity to fight for it should you win tonight’s ladder match. How do you assess your chances? BUTTON: Geezer, these are the big nights and the big fights, I ain’t worried, I ain’t scared and honestly, I probably ain’t prepared eivver. I’m gonna go with the flow, ‘ave a row, ‘ave it out, loud, proud and in charge and see what ‘appens. What will be will be and I’ll still be Alfie, come the end of it. I fort I was gonna get past SA-GA-WA in the last round, ‘e ‘ad me sussed out, good and proper, and good luck to ‘im tonight. I ‘ope ‘e wins. No matter, ‘ooever wins the Lonestar title tonight, I’ll be gunnin’ for ‘im. I’ve still got a great record ‘ere, and it takes a lot more than last week to put a drawin’ pin on my chair if you know what I mean. THE INFORMER: Who do you believe will be your biggest threat to success in the ladder match? BUTTON: Easy - the ladder itself. Believe it or not, I ‘ate ‘eights and I’m a ‘igh flyer. But, all of these fellas, they’re all uber-talented and ‘oever uses the ladder in the best way will win it. We’re all gonna take a shot of that steel to the tummy, back, neck, some of us, probably this moron talkin’ to ya, will fall off it and make no mistake, it’ll ‘urt and I’ll be sore in the mornin’. But, for the winner, it’ll be worf it and we’ve all got a chance. I don’t see anyone ‘oo can match me for speed or agility, but there’s some geezers who ‘ave got me beat in ovver areas and we’ll all need a bit of luck in the end. THE INFORMER: Alfie Button, best of luck tonight. BUTTON: Cheers, mate. [The screen cuts away.]
[The following video has "last week" in white letters in the bottom, right-hand corner of the screen to indicate when it was filmed. The video begins with The Informer, who has Chris Smith and Kid Chameleon also in the shot with him.] THE INFORMER: Showdown is a week away and with me, I have an exclusive face-to-face interview between ‘the kids’ - Chameleon and Smith. SMITH:: Do that again. THE INFORMER: What’s wrong? SMITH:: You said his name first. KID CHAMELEON: Rel… SMITH:: Don’t tell me to relax! It’s because of you that I’ve been all paranoid. That changes next Sunday. THE INFORMER: Where did this all start? SMITH:: A long time ago, I attended some meet-and-greets this hooligan was part of it, and I wanted to befriend him, but he snubbed me on three occasions, so I attacked him. CHAMELEON: Such a lust for revenge! Whoo?! THE INFORMER: Kid… SMITH:: Yes? THE INFORMER: Chameleon, Chris Smith has been paranoid and one of the reasons is because you impersonated yours truly on Rampage Six to attack him. SMITH:: Yes, he did and you know what, Informer? Every time we’ve ever fought, he’s bent and broken the rules and still, he hasn’t been able to beat ‘Big Kid’ Chris Smith. Not once. THE INFORMER: It’s true Kid Chameleon, that you have lost every time you’ve ever faced Chris Smith. What can you do to alter that unwanted stat at Showdown? SMITH:: There’s nothing he can do. All of his tricks over the last two months have been to unsettle me and I’m still here. When we get in the ring, I’m bigger, stronger… [Chameleon chuckles.] SMITH:: I beg your pardon? Have you got something you want to share? CHAMELEON: With fists like these, I don’t even gotta pack no heat. SMITH:: What do you mean? What are you saying? CHAMELEON: Take it however you wanna take it...you plain suck. [Smith stands up and Chameleon mirrors him, not showing any fear at all.] SMITH:: Oh, I can’t wait to do this FOR THE KIDS. CHAMELEON: Go home and cry to your mama and while you’re at it, tell her I’m hungry. [Kid opens the door and leaves as The Informer struggles to hold Smith back from lunging at his antagonist.] [The screen cuts away.]
[We cut to the "SCW" banner backstage and a familiar duo, decked out in their ring gear, standing in front of it. The Pirate of Bling! Tony Sweat! SWEATY BLING!] TPOB:: Ahoy, me Hearties! TS:: Sup! TPOB:: All hand hoay! This be the BIG show tonight, me maties, and Tony.. [Bling turns towards his tag team partner.] TPOB:: It finally be time we send a pair of bilge-sucking scallywags down to Davy Jones' locker! [Sweat is taken aback.] TS:: Davy Jones has a locker here too? Wow, that dude played everywhere! He was a Monkee though so I guess it isn't surprising.. TPOB:: Ah.. No, see- TS:: But look man, I know you keep traveling from overseas to here, back and forth, so you're probably a little confused. Tonight is that Walk the Plank match against those two.. SCAMMERS! [A sudden burst of anger as Tony spits out the word "Scammers" and sweat sprays off his glistening body. Bling tries his best to ignore being hit by the spray of perspiration.] TS:: I'll tell you what, I've been waiting a LONG time to finally be rid of these masked scammer dudes! Using tricks to get ladies' phone numbers, signing people up to whatever telemarketing scheme they have going on.. [Tony shakes his head vigorously as he is quite agitated, sweat flying every which way including onto the Pirate of Bling.] TS:: ENOUGH! Your little schemes and scamming and signing people up to stuff so you can steal their credit card or bank information ends tonight! We're going to drag you up onto that plank by your grubby dirty masks and then BEAT YOU! [Tony begins giving forearm smashes and punches to imaginary opponents, copious blobs of sweat are being lobbed like sweat grenades every which way possible! The camera lens is getting hit even! Bling steps back and pulls out the official Tony Sweat towel and uses it as a shield from the hurricane of perspiration that is going on.] TS:: JUST BEATING YOU DOWN AGAIN AND AGAIN until FINALLY! [Tony breathes heavily, a crazed look in his eyes as he seems to be wringing the neck of these imaginary foes.] TS:: We throw your SCAMMING asses off the plank and down into the waters below and I am going to be up there LAUGHING MY ASS OFF while those sharks BITE! RIP! AND TEAR you APART! [Bling makes a confused look.] TPOB:: Ah.. Water? Sharks? TS:: Yeah, man! There are going to be these sharks swimming around, all hungry and stuff. We throw those goofs into the water.. CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP! [Tony mimics a shark attack, sending more sweat grenades flying through the air.] TS:: I'm gonna' LAUGH as you get eaten up and turned into shark poop though... [Sweat halts his rampage on the poor doomed imaginary opponents and has a remorseful expression.] TS:: I feel bad for those sharks, man. [Bling, a bit apprehensive, peeks out from behind his towel shield.] TPOB:: They be figurative sharks, Tony. [Tony gives a slight shake of his head.] TS:: I don't know what species of shark they are but they shouldn't have to eat garbage, they don't deserve that... [Sweat gets angry all over again.] TS:: But look at what you've forced us to do! Freakin' scammers! We have to feed GARBAGE to poor hungry SHARKS! Because that is all you guys are.. GARBAGE! TRASH! [Tony begins throwing punches and forearms at imaginary foes when Bling rushes to his side and grabs his arms, with the towel of course.] TPOB:: Avast ye, Tony! Save it for them when we be out in that ring. TS:: I know but they just.. Those scammers piss me off so much! [Bling motions towards off screen.] TPOB:: Say, did you see the lass at catering who had eyes as wide as saucers when you passed by? [Tony makes a creepy smile.] TS:: The blonde with the sweater? [The Pirate nods.] TPOB:: That be the one, Tony! I think she be sending you signals, maybe investigate if she wants to be the future Mrs. Sweat, eh? [Tony smiles at Bling and then at the camera.] TS:: Look at this guy! You can't find a better friend than that, looking out for his buddy! I'll go investigate that scene man! [Tony swaggers off screen and Bling fake smiles.] TPOB:: Ye do that, Tony! Ye do that. [After a few moments Bling uses the towel to wipe some of the sweat from his partner off of himself before tossing the towel aside and giving a more serious look at the camera.] TPOB:: Schemes? Scamming? I'm not concerned about the validity of what Tony believes, only that he believes it to the point of firing him up because Masked Maniac and Masked Wingman.. Batten down the hatches! This be it, the night one of ye will be feeding the fishes! [Bling makes a sinister expression.] TPOB:: All I care about is getting my hands on the gold and to do that Tony and I have to heave ho and remove the both of you from our path. You be nothing but obstacles, scurvy dog scallywag obstacles, and one of you will indeed be shark bait tonight! [The Pirate taps his chest.] TPOB:: Ye have been backed up into my element by my maneuvering and it isn't a question of which team will win this match but a question of which one of you sons of biscuit eaters will be taking that plunge down below! For I be the PIRATE and this be a WALK THE PLANK match and YO HO HO.. You two will not be scuttling our quest for the gold because one of ye will be a failure and the other one a broken landlubber, shattered upon the sea bottom, while our Jolly Roger flies towards our destiny of lifting the gold here in the SCW! [Bling steps creepily close to the camera.] TPOB:: No ladies, no lasses, no Tomfoolery.. Just silence from ye lot because dead men tell no tales! [And with that he walks off screen.]
[We return to our ringside announce team.] SMITH:: Tomfoolery? Who uses words like that? Those guys are damn unique, but the match they will put on tonight is as unique as they are! CONLON:: It is going to be quite the show, that is for sure. SMITH:: This entire night will be and we are just getting started! CONLON:: Next up on our free-for-all, we have Prague Drinking Team against a tandem we haven’t seen since the first Rampage, Greco-Roman. SMITH:: They’ve not been given a real opportunity, but if this is a wrestling match, they’ll destroy Prague Drinking Team. CONLON:: Didn’t Jed Johnson say something similar? SMITH:: He did, but then did absolutely nothing to turn it into a wrestling match. [As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]

PRAGUE DRINKIGN TEAM -VS- GRECO-ROMAN

[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON:: Ladies and Gentlemen, this tag team match is set for one fall and has a fifteen-minute time limit! Introducing first, the team of Alejandro Greco and Roman Kaposwki, also known as G R E C O - R O M A N ! ! ! [The team of Alejandro Greco and Roman Kaposwki are already in the ring with Greco loosening up, readying himself for battle while Roman remains stone-faced, bearing an almost vacant look.] [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON:: And their opponents, from Prague, Czechia at a combined weight of 517 pounds, Josef Skala and Jan Bosko.... T H E P R A G U E D R I N K I N G T E A M ! ! ! [Morava's "Pivo" plays - a track that pays homage to beer and cheers accompany the arrival of long-haired, robust Jan Bosko and Josef Skala, 6'3" and 6'4" respectively, wearing the red conventional hoodies, a popular souvenir from the Czech capital, that bear and gave them their name.] SMITH:: These guys are a real treat. Yet another of the tag teams here that make me wish I was twenty years younger. CONLON:: Think you could compete? SMITH:: The Doc and I could compete anywhere, Stan! CONLON:: I have no doubt! [DING! DING!! DING!!!] SMITH:: Looks like the teams are sorting their starters. CONLON:: It won’t surprise you that Alejandro Greco is starting things out, will it? SMITH:: Not at all. [A collar-and-elbow gets us underway, which Bosko wins easily and emphatically with a scoop slam, however, he misses with the subsequent elbow drop, yet so does Greco with his attempted knee drop.] CONLON:: Frantic start. [Bosko runs the ropes, but Greco takes him down with a drop toe hold and slaps on a front chancery.] CONLON:: Snap suplex coming up… SMITH:: Bosko’s too big and strong for Greco, this early on. CONLON:: Sure enough, Bosko reverses and my co-commentator is correct. SMITH:: It makes a change, doesn’t it? {Jan lifts Greco up and deposits him hard to the buckle, following up with a cracking clothesline. As Alejandro departs the corner…] CONLON:: Two-handed bulldog by Bosko and beautifully done. SMITH:: And his work is done. Tag to Skala. CONLON:: And what a way to come in! Somersault leg drop. One...two...and only two. Roman didn’t move a muscle there, content to remain on the outside. SMITH:: Why would he be worried? That was never going to put Greco away. Not in a month of Sundays. CONLON:: Doesn’t matter. Josef Skala now has control of Greco once more and takes him down again with a side belly-to-belly suplex, though there’s no pending cover this time. {Instead, Josef takes Alejandro for a spin, more specifically one of the airplane variety, the audience collectively making an ‘OOH’ sound, building up anticipation for when Skala inevitably drops Greco like the proverbial sack of potatoes, which happens right about NOW.} CONLON:: One-way traffic and Skala’s not letting a dizzy Greco rest at all. BRAINBUSTER! SMITH:: That could do it. CONLON:: Skala tags Bosko back in… [They whip Greco to the ropes and once Alejandro arrows towards them, they elevate him effortlessly into the air and launch him backwards in the form of their finisher, Imperial Pilsner, which is a 2-man flapjack.] CONLON:: This could be it. [Josef Skala forms a barrier while Bosko pins Greco, but Roman jumps down off the apron and walks away, essentially leaving his partner behind.] CONLON:: this has to be one of the most one-sided tag matches I’ve seen, and we’ve seen some recently, but this shouldn’t have been. ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SMITH:: Roman Kapowski did nothing, and I don’t know how I feel about it, so I’m going up there to ask. [The Gorilla makes a quick detour to grab a microphone before breaking into a light jog to catch Roman Kapowski midway up the aisle, all the while Prague Drinking Team toast their victory with a pair of Pilsners.] SMITH:: Hey, Roman, wait up. What happened there? KAPOWSKI: What do you mean? SMITH:: It was Greco v Prague Drinking Team, not Greco-Roman. KAPOWSKI: So? SMITH:: Is this the end of Greco-Roman? KAPOWSKI: It’s the end of Greco… [With that, Roman walks off in a sulk as Smith walks back to rejoin Conlon on commentary.] CONLON:: Well that is certainly a development! SMITH:: Always sad when a tag team loses their faith in each other, or at least seems to. CONLON:: That ever happen to you? SMITH:: Have you met the new boss? [Again they share a chckle, this time at Hopper's expense.] CONLON:: Fans, let's once again hear from more of our competitors in tonight's main show! Remember, if you want to see it, you have to hit that buy button on the website!
[Backstage the SCW Arena, the most intense tag team in the wrestling world is getting ready for their biggest match in SCW yet. Ryan Paris and Colby Prince sporting their black matching pants with a retro looking American flag down the sides of their legs. They stand ready for their few minutes of air time to address their opponents.] PARIS: This year is going to be a December to remember for the American Revival. We finally have a chance to go out in front of the hardcore Dallas Texas fans and the thousands watching us on IPPV and show that we are indeed the best tag team in wrestling today. [The two men nod at the same time.] PARIS: Since the day the ink dried on our contract we have made no bones about why we are here. We searched far and wide for the best tag teams in professional wrestling. So here we are ... In SCW's biggest event to date and we are scheduled to take on the O'Malley Brothers. [Those nods turn into smug smiles.] PARIS: The O'Malley Brothers were a hot name at one time. At one time we would have been honored to test might with them. However, the past few years they have become a couple of JAG's. So, tonight our statement must be intense and clear. You put a couple of JAG's in the ring with us ... Then we treat them as a message. We treat them as a statement. [Ryan Paris glares into the camera as his partner speaks.] PRINCE: You heard my partner. You call this an elimination match. That is perfect because we look to put a nail in the coffin of the once iconic career of the O'Malley's. In 2020, there is going to be a revival. We _will_ go through each and every tag team. Sweaty Bling ... Masked Bros ... Border Control ... Trailer Park Assassinz .... Health Fanatics .... Prague Drinking Team .... Las Preguntas. [Long pause.] PRINCE: All of you are sitting ducks. The SCW gold is ours. It starts with tonight. That message. That statement is going to be a cold hard truth that we are just that much better then the O'Malley's and everyone else that steps inside the ring with us. [Paris pats his partner on the shoulder and cuts back in.] PARIS: We are going to put on a show tonight at Showdown. O'Malley's I wish I could say it isn't personal. But, we take being the best very personal. So with each impact move the message will be clear. With each stiff shot the statement will be precise. PRINCE: This is our ring. This is our division. These will be our belts. PARIS: SCW is about to have a revival. PRINCE: Tonight, it's the O'Malley Brother's turn. [Message has been sent. We fade to black.]
[Steve Blaine is again seen standing next to Jonny Bedlam. Both again have microphones and we are back.] BLAINE:: Hellow SCW fans. Tonight, I have Jonny Bedlam here with me. He is fresh off a resounding victory against Jed Johnson some nights ago on Rampage. Tonight at Showdown, here in Dallas, Texas, you are facing Harrison Daniels III of #Heelnation. Can you give us your thoughts? [Bedlam chuckles to himself at first, somewhat douchily.] BEDLAM:: My first thought is Steve...I mean...maybe this crossed your minds too…doesn’t #Heelnation sound like an online ladies’ shoe store? [Blaine chuckles at that, surprisingly.] BLAINE:: You know Jonny, the thought hadn’t crossed my mind until now. BEDLAM:: Sorry, again, for starting the interview off with impertinence. I know you’re a real heavy duty serious interview man. That houndstooth sport coat says it all sir. No, my real thoughts on Harrison Daniels...the third...are as follows: he’s a fierce competitor in a faction that has quite a bit of respect here in SCW. Don’t let that two gallons of hair gel or those tanning bed chiseled abs fool you..he’s all…. [Jonny breaks down laughing.] BEDLAM:: Ahh Steve, who the hell am I kidding? He’s another run of the mill mop bucket who leeches off of his more skilled partner. He’s an Andrew Ridgeley, he’s a John Hall, he’s a Dave Stewart, he’s an also-ran. I haven’t heard much of him, heard much from him, or do I know much about him. Apparently he’s a rich kid who wants to not be judged for his privilege. He’ll probably quit this place to join an Antifa group somewhere. Who knows? [Blaine nodded severely at Bedlam] BEDLAM:: I’ll admit, he’s a big strong guy and he’s lasted a while in this business. That’s not anything to take lightly, and I’m not. One thing he for sure is though...do you know what that is, Steve? BLAINE:: No Mr. Bedlam, what is that? [Bedlam smiled broadly at the setup] BEDLAM:: He’s a Connecticut Yankee In Jonny Bedlam’s Hometown Arena in DALLAS, TEXAS!!!!!! And do you know what that means? [Jonny paused as the crowd erupted.] BLAINE:: No sir, I’m afraid I don’t. BEDLAM:: That just like those sherbert peep toe slingbacks that somebody didn’t think through after a few too many wine spritzers, he’s getting sent right back to #Heelnation. [Jonny raised his eyebrows.] BEDLAM:: [Looking at Blaine] Too much of a reach? BLAINE:: It wasn’t THAT bad. BEDLAM:: I’ll take it. I’ll take it. [The screen cuts away.]
[Cut backstage to a nervous Masked Wingman and his mentor, Masked Maniac trying to bring some comfort to his pupil. Masked Maniac is dressed for success in regards to a "walk the plank" stipulations. He has an eye patch over his left eye hole and a pirate skull cap on.] MM: Matey-bro there is nothing to be nervous about. I have thought of everything! [Masked Wingman shakes his head as he looks at the pile of items to the side of Masked Maniac.] MM: I am one step ahead of them and their games. You see, while you are afraid of heights - I have brought us THESE to ensure we don't fall victim to Tony Sweat's games! [Masked Maniac has two pairs of rain boots.] MM: With these babies on our feet, Tony Sweat can soak up that plank and we will stomp through those puddles with ease! [The Masked Wingman doesn't seem to be buying what his mentor is selling.] MM: And if we need more protection? [Masked Maniac pulls out a big janitor mop.] MM: We will ensure that the plank stays safe for us to do what we do best. That is to send both Bling and Sweat flying off the plank and down on the mat while all the ladies in the arena cheer in unison as their heroes stand tall escaping death once again. [Maniac stands his hands on his hips posing. The Masked Wingman still doesn't look amused as if he is questioning his mentor's strategy.] MM: You worry too much matey-bro! I told you I got this. I have the whole thing planned out. Just come out and march to my tune. With these rain boots and mop, we have eliminated their secret weapon. The only thing left for us not to do is .... fall! [... and that is exactly what Masked Wingman is afraid of as he grabs a hold of his mentor demanding him to do something.] MM: There is no time to change the stipulations. Just put these boots on. We have to do this ... We have to do this for Towel-bro. [Both men lower their heads as they mourn their fallen comrade.] MM: Even if we have to face our greatest fear. [Masked Wingman nods in agreement.] MM: Plus chicks dig pirates, matey-bro... Well not that fake pirate, Bling. But, masked bros whooping butt on a plank type pirates. We got this! [Wingman gives a shrug agreeing that he has no choice and accepts his mentor's master plan. He picks up the rain boots as the camera fades.]
[We view a backstage announce area, where Tess Wiley is standing with Damon Somner and Greg Matthews - aka the Health Fanatics.] WILEY: Health Fanatics, you have the experience advantage against Son of Malta and… SOMNER: Tess, sweetheart. Are you tired? WILEY: Tired of this job? Yeah. SOMNER: Tired of life? WILEY: Also. SOMNER: Tired of getting up in the morning? WILEY: Normally. [Damon unearthed a bottle of Powerade.] SOMNER: Then, just after a workout, make sure you replenish with a bottle of Powerade, recommended for professional wrestlers. WILEY: How much are they paying you? SOMNER: Quite a lot, actually. WILEY: I thought so. MATTHEWS: With that, you can make BIG GAINS. WILEY: Financially? SOMNER: Speaking of Gaines, we’re just trying to help you, Gordon. You too can improve with some advice from us, Health Fanatics. Anyone can. MATTHEWS: But, that time has passed for now. We’ll show you in the ring that matches are won in the gym. [The screen cuts away.]
[The camera fades backstage and you see Caleb Foley standing in front of a mirror. Caleb seems to be getting ready for his upcoming match tonight as he has on no shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He looks very focused and zoned in.] FOLEY:: We started with sixteen men ... All wanting to be the first man to be the SCW LoneStar heavyweight Champion. When I lost my match against Alfie Button I heard the whispers of people saying here it goes again. Caleb is going to go into a whirlwind of shortcomings. Empty promises he has made his entire career. When I made it to the field of eight people said it was luck. [Caleb gives a half of a smile.] FOLEY:: Maybe it was but defeating Johnny Psychotic inside the ring was no easy feat especially after we saw what he did to SAGAWA in that brutal cage match. Then when people found out I was facing the man with a cartel backing in Pat Gordon Junior once again people have doubted me. Well guess what I am used to people overlooking me. I am not the strongest or biggest competitor to step foot inside the ring but I will not back down. I will not give up. I am not scared of no man even if he has the backing of a cartel. You know what I say to you Pat Gordon Jr... [Brief pause by Foley.] FOLEY:: Let's see if you can win a match with an even playing field. That's right I got your manager banned from ringside. The SCW LoneStar Heavyweight Championship should be decided fair and square. PGJ you used to be a man with honor and respect. Sure you may have broken a few rules here and there but you had the respect of your peers. But when you aligned yourself with El Loco Cartel you lost any respect I had from you. You took the easy way out and for that you are a coward. [Caleb continues to stay at himself in the mirror almost as if he is trying to see something besides himself in it.] FOLEY:: Pat I can come out here and list all the times I have failed. All the times I have been backed into a corner. All the times I was outnumbered. But every single time I got back up and dusted myself off. I squared up and looked my opponent in their eyes. I didn't show any fear. I didn't give any excuses. I gave it my all from the time the match began until when the winner was announced. I learned very quickly when I started out that this business is like a roller coaster it is full of ups and downs. It goes forwards ... backwards ... and even sometimes upside down. PGJ you already think you have this match in the bag ... [Caleb turns around to finally face the camera. He bends down and pulls out a bag of his own. Foley puts it on the bench and unzips it as he continues to talk.] FOLEY:: A wise man once told me ... Never underestimate a man who has nothing to lose and everything to gain. So go ahead PGJ bring your bag to ring as I am sure it is full of surprises. I am sure you have a bunch of weapons in your bag. A bunch of tricks you can use to outsmart people. But you want to know what is in my bag... [Caleb opens the bag up for the camera to see ... The bag is empty ...] FOLEY:: That's right Pat. My bag is empty. What you see is what you get. I have no tricks up my sleeves. I am going to go down to the ring and beat you. I am going to make you respect me. Then whoever advances in the match between The Legend and SAGAWA I am going to defeat. I am going to win the old fashioned way by class. I am already in the history books for SCW as being the first man to win a match and after tonight I will be the first man to win the SCW LoneStar Heavyweight Championship. Good luck Patrick as you are going to need a miracle to win tonight. [Caleb turns around to look at the mirror one more time - he looks determined. He looks ready for a battle tonight. Feed cuts out.]
CONLON:: Caleb Foley seems very fired up this evening. SMITH:: It is his chance at title glory. Something he has desired for years and always seemingly fell short of. CONLON:: I truly think he has a real shot tonight, Gorilla. SMITH:: I think the fans hope he does as well. I see a lot of green out there in the crowd! CONLON:: They certainly like the "king of the gingers" don't they? SMITH:: I think everybody hopes either Foley or Darring walk out with the belt. Imagine if Gordon and the Cartel get the title....or worse yet that crazy man Sagawa! CONLON:: We will find out who is our first champ soon enough! But now we have our final match of the free-for-all portion of our night and it pits newcomer Luscious Jasmine against Mexican Star, El Principe! SMITH:: Principe vowed to become champion someday in his interview. Tonight is the first step in his journey. CONLON:: And let's send it to the ring and get this one started!
[As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]

EL PRINCIPE -VS- LUSCIOUS JASMINE

[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON:: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is set for one fall and has a fifteen-minute time limit! Introducing first, Hailing from Mexico City, Mexico and weighing in at two hundred-thirty pounds. He is considered wrestling royalty from south of the border. Here is... E L P R I N C I P E' ! ! ! ["Los Consejos de un Padre" by Gerdo begins to play and the arena begins to boo because, let's face it, Gerado sucks. Finally el Prinicpe' steps out from behind the curtain and holds his arms out expecting jubilation, but gets none. He may have been reaping what he had sowed for several years, relying on his father's reputation and underhand tactics to attain many a title and fans in Texas would know such things. He walks down the aisle and seems to be yelling at the crowd in Spanish as he gets near ringside.] CONLON:: Principe has vowed this would be a showcase night for him, Gorilla. SMITH:: The man is much more talented than his record indicates. I can say that for sure. CONLON:: You follow his career? SMITH:: I'm all-in when it comes to wrestling everywhere. That is how you become better in your profession! [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON:: And his opponent, hailing from San Francisco, California! Weighting in at two hundred and eighteen pounds, here is... L U S C I O U S J A S M I N E ! ! ! ["Carma Chameleon" begins playing over the PA system and out comes the flamboyant Jasmine. He is wearing a pink set of tights with a green bolt looking strip around the middle section with white boots. He has bright red hair and no facial hair. His eyes are green and it even looks like he has on some makeup as his lips seem to shine in the lights. He has a large flamingo pink boa around his neck and he vamps a little as he walks the aisle. Jasmine loves the fans and throws out neon necklaces to kids and women as he walks down the aisle. He enters the ring and pinches referee Marshall Noblitt on the rear, which gets him irritated and the fans laugh.] CONLON:: Jasmine out here and giving a real show! SMITH:: I would be careful messing with that referee. He seems to get upset easily. CONLON:: Referee Noblitt is a different bird, but I think everyone knows he is playful. SMITH:: He hasn't been around here that long, Stan. [DING! DING!! DING!!!] CONLON:: There's the bell and Principe isn't in a hurry to rush up and fight. SMITH:: Well the Spanish culture isn't generally keen to guys like Jasmine. CONLON:: Are you saying Jasmine is... SMITH:: (interrupting) OH NO! Just saying that he has a particular style that might give an impression here or there. [The two men walk to center ring and Principe reaches out his hand for a shake. Jasmine looks to the crowd, who immediately scream out not to accept, and then slowly extends his hand. As Jasmine stares down at the handshake. Principe rips his hand back and hits him with a bell clap to both ears.] CONLON:: DOLORES BELL!!! Jasmine walked right into that one! SMITH:: Literally! He never saw it coming! [Jasmine stumbles away as the crowd boos. Principe rushes up and grabs him side Russian Leg Sweep that takes him down to the mat. Principe jumps back up and acts proud of himself.] CONLON:: Russian Legsweep by Principe and it seems like he is trying to fulfill that promise! SMITH:: We get to see what he is made of tonight, I think. CONLON:: You think he is trying to show off and get consideration for that Television Title? SMITH:: When you start putting new titles in the mix, you definitely run the risk of guys going that extra mile. [Principe goes to pull Jasmine to his feet, landing a knee to the face along the way. He gets Jasmine in suplex position and lifts him into a vertical suplex lift, before dropping it with a back breaker across his knee.] CONLON:: VERTICAL BACKBREAKER!!! THAT WAS NASTY!!! SMITH:: And Principe with a cover! ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TTHHHHRRRREEEEE...................PRINCIPE PULLS HIS SHOULDERS UP!!! CONLON:: HE JUST PICKED HIS SHOULDERS UP!!! WHY? SMITH:: If you want a showcase match, you don't end it after a few pieces of offense. CONLON:: But why not take a win if you can get it quick? SMITH:: I'm sure he wants to show off a little more. This is the Mexican Prince, after all! [Principe pulls Jasmine to his feet and whips him across the ring and into the turnbuckles. Jasmine hits with a thud and drops back immediately. Principe follows it up by dropping a knee to the forehead. The referee jumps in and stops him as Jasmine's feet are still under the ropes.] CONLON:: Knee to the forehead and Jasmine is in serious trouble! SMITH:: He probably has the wind knocked out of him after hitting those turnbuckles! CONLON:: Hard to mount a comeback without your air! SMITH:: Tell me about it! I used to specialize in knocking the air out of people. Great technique if you can do it. [Principe pulls him out from under the ropes and to his feet. The Prince grabs his opponent by the waist and lifts for a belly-to-belly suplex. He holds on and rolls through, lifting again for a second belly-to-belly, and then rolls through and connects with a third one as the crowd goes nuts booing the Mexican star.] CONLON:: EL TRICOLOR!!! HE HIT ALL THREE!!! SMITH:: This one has to be over now! ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TTHHHHRRRREEEEE...................PRINCIPE GETS OFF HIM!!! CONLON:: WHY DID HE JUST STAND UP THERE? This match was over! SMITH:: I think the referee has the same question. CONLON:: Marshall Noblitt and Principe are now talking and Jasmine isn't moving. SMITH:: Yeah that kid is basically done. Stick a fork in him. [Principe is talking to the referee and using hand motions since the referee doesn't understand Spanish.] CONLON:: It looks like he is describing that he wasn't happy with the second suplex in that set and can't pin him from it? SMITH:: Good a reason as any! CONLON:: But Gorilla, he is just toying with someone he could have beaten twice already. SMITH:: One thing I have learned throughout the years is that you can never truly understand why anyone does anything in the wrestling ring. [Principe pulls Jasmine to his feet and lifts him into a piledriver position, position his legs perfectly for the Quacken Driver II and then dropping it textbook in the center of the ring. The fans give heat as he lands it.] CONLON:: CROWNING MOMENT!!! HE NAILED IT!!! SMITH:: THAT IS HOW YOU FINISH! ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONLON:: PRINCIPE WITH A RESOUNDING VICTORY!!! SMITH:: He wanted a showcase and he certainly gave it to us tonight! CONLON:: What a way to head into the Showdown broadcast! SMITH:: It certainly was! [Principe jumps to his feet with arms in the air celebrating and the fans throw shade at him.] CONLON:: Fans, we hope you have enjoyed this free-for-all set of matches and be sure to click on that buy button to see all of what will go down at SCW Showdown! SMITH:: It is going to be a hell of a night! Lonestar Title decided, Lonestar Tag Team belts up for grabs, blood feuds and all sorts of action! CONLON:: And to see it, you have to click the button on the SCW site! See you there, America! [The screen goes black and a giant "30" appears and begins to count down...] 30 . . . . . 29 . . . . . 28 . . . . . 27 . . . . . 26 . . . . . . . . .
