[The screen is black as the beginning notes of "Legendary" by Skillet begin to be heard.] [As the melody begins to be heard, we see the SCW letters flash across the screen in brilliant burnt orange letters.] #Legendary. OHHHHHHHH!!!# [The music continues as the word "RAMPAGE" superimposes in white letters over the burnt orange SCW letters.] #Legendary. OHHHHHHHH!!!# [The guitar riffs kick in as the logo breaks into flame in the center and burns toward the outer edges of the screen like Bonanza's old theme.] #OHHHHHHHH!!! Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh# [The moment the lead singer's first "OH" is heard, the flames dissipate and allow us to see a the screen split into a pair of pictures. The first is Pat Gordon Jr. standing on the turnbuckles in the corner on the left, while the right picture is Caleb Foley standing in the center of the ring holding a finger out to point at the fans.] #OHHHHHHHH!!! Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh# [The screen switches to show Windham Brody stepping over the top rope.] #My heart bleeds adrenaline# #The fire I breathe is where I live# [The screen shows a vid cap of Bam Markham pounding his fist into his chest.] #(Say my name) Incredible# #(Say my name) An animal# [Switch to show vid cap of Chris Smith clotheslining an opponent and then raising his arms in triumph.] #One life to live# #I never give up, I never give in# [The screen switches to show all four brothers of the Rich Family walking down the aisle and greeting fans, only to switch to El Gringo Loco and Las Preguntas standing in the ring taunting ringside fans.] #Some people wanna turn and run# #But the strong rise under the gun# [Screen shows Tripp Skylark leaping off the top turnbuckle and high into the air toward the outside of the ring before it dissolves into the next vid cap.] #Top, to the top# #Ain't never gonna stop# [Video cap of Chase Williams grabbing hold of a wrestler and crashing him to the canvas with a choke slam.] #To the top, to the top# #Ain't never gonna stop# [Quick vid cap of Alfie Button kipping up in a match.] #Never gonna keep me down (never keep me)# [A few quick pictures are quickly seen of Gazi, Steve Dann, Michael Wilson, and Johnny Psychotic.] #Still the one that's standing now (never falling)# [Vid Cap of Pat Gordon Jr locking on the "Pat Lock" submission hold.] #Destiny is calling me# #Go down in history# #Every day I'll fight to be# [The vid cap shows Alfie Button poised on the top rope and leaping into the air for a 720 DDT on his opponent. He hits and jumps up right as the title words are sung.] #Legendary# [Vid cap of Johnny Psychotic landing his top rope superplex finisher.] #OHHHHHHHH!!! Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh# [Pictures of the Health Fanatics, Prague Drinking Team, Sweaty Bling and The Maniacs are seen quickly.] #OHHHHHHHH!!! Oh oh oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh# [The screen shows the vid cap of Caleb Foley with a serious look on his face as he pounds his right fist into his chest and then points toward the camera.] #Legendary# #OHHHHHHHH!!!!# [As the driving music continues the screen explodes into a million pieces and reveals the SCW Arena with the ring in the center of the view. The crowd is sparse in the upper regions, but the ringside seats are jam packed as we see them cheering loudly and hear the sounds of enthusiasm as our host announce team begins to speak.] CHANEY: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME BACK TO SCW RAMPAGE! We are live from a well attended Phoenix Arena in Dallas, Texas, for this great night packed with action! WATTERS: It's the SCW Arena, Chaney. Get it right. CHANEY: Yes that is our nickname for it, but that isn't the official name, Crusher. WATTERS: Whatever. [The screen fades form the view of the ringside fans to the announce table at ringside where our announcers will call the action. Chaney is wearing an orange "SCW" polo shirt and has his dark hair slicked back, looking as "GQ" as humanly possible. While next to him, Larry is wearing his usual denim shirt and trademark scowl, which even with his grey beard is unmistakable as a man who attempts to stay unhappy most of the time.] CHANEY: It is great to be with you all this evening! I'm Eric Chaney and always with me here at ringside is wrestling great, Larry "The Crusher" Watters. WATTERS: Evening sheeple. CHANEY: Fans, tonight we have a packed show with twelve matches on tap! WATTERS: That is a ton for our time slot. You think they realized that when they put it together? CHANEY: I hope so, Larry. We have a Lonestar Tag Team Title match with Las Preguntas defending against The Rich Family, plus we have four more group matches in the Lonestar Heavyweight Title Tournament. WATTERS: I also know we finally see the tag debut of the Trailer Park Assassinz or whatever teh hell they are called. CHANEY: Right you are, Larry! Plus the debut of the Son of Malta and Pat Gordon Junior will also be in the ring tonight as he takes on Flanagan! WATTERS: Sounds like a night full of meat and potatoes! CHANEY: And we start it off with Big Boss Hogg, as he gets to face off with Billy James! WATTERS: Not a bad one to kick off the show after the big upset Billy pulled off last Rampage. CHANEY: You have to think Hogg knows what happened last week and that James may be on a sreak. WATTERS: I'm not sure that idiot knows much about anything not involving a motorcycle. CHANEY: Well its time to see as we head to the ring and get the one off and running!
[As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]
[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is set for one fall and has a fifteen- minute time limit! Introducing first, from El Paso, Texas and weighing in at two hundred- fifty-one pounds! Here is... B I L L Y "T H E R E G U L A T O R" J A M E S ! ! ! ["Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi begins to play and the guitar strums sound more eerie with James as the beneficiary. Billy enters the arena through the entrance curtain, wearing his blue jeans and boots with a black cowboy hat on for good measure. He taunts the fans a little as they jeer him. He enters the ring and raises his arms high to the somewhat negative reaction of the crowd.] CHANEY: This man is coming off one of the bigger upsets in recent memory last Rampage, Larry. WATTERS: That is true, but let's remember that he didn't beat Chase Williams, he was handed a count out victory thanks to Sagawa. CHANEY: Either way the result was the same...a shocking mark in the loss column for a former World Champion against an unlikely opponent. WATTERS: And that can give a man momentum as he moves forward. The real question is will it be tonight that he gets another shocker. CHANEY: It won't be easy. WATTERS: No it won't, but I am hopeful he learned a lot from the last show and uses it tonight to his advantage. [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON: And his opponent... [The big bad biker man steps out from the curtain, holding a Texas flag out in front of his face. He drops it down quickly and hoists one hand in the air in the shape of the Texas longhorns, yelling out loud to a large roar from the crowd.] CHANEY: I'm still awestruck by just how big this guy is. WATTERS: Chaney, he has been around forever! How did you not know that his name wasn't ironic? BUFFINGTON: From Blackwell, Texas, HE IS THE... [One step at a time, the 6'7" monster of a man makes his way to ringside, slapping several fans' hands on the way down. He makes sure to salute any veterans at ringside, stopping to shake their hands.] BUFFINGTON: B I G! B O S S! H O G G! [Upon reaching the ring, Boss steps up to the apron, grabbing onto the ropes and bypassing the ring steps. He comes in underneath the top rope, then bounces his back off the ropes a couple times. He stands in the center of the ring next, again throwing up the bullhorns and getting yet another loud cheer in return. Hogg drapes the Texas flag over his corner's ring post, remaining there to await instructions from the referee.] CHANEY: Hogg is well loved here in SCW already. WATTERS: He's nothing but a panderer! He puts that flag out there and these idiots go nuts while he is facing an ACTUAL TEXAN tonight that they booed. CHANEY: It's a fickle world. WATTERS: Not the f-word I would have chosen, Chaney. [James takes off when the referee is standing in front of Hogg in the corner to give instructions and jumps in the air with his arm going over the referee's head and landing in a splash into the corner. The referee jumps back and motions for the bell.] CHANEY: JAMES ON THE ATTACK BEFORE THE BELL!! WATTERS: Not a bad way of thinking here against someone as big as Hogg. [DING! DING!! DING!!!] CHANEY: Now the match has officially started, but Hogg is already at a disadvantage! WATTERS: I give Billy credit for this plan. You have to do something extra when you face a literal hoss like Big Boss Hogg. CHANEY: That was almost a haiku, Larry. WATTERS: A what? [James follows up his attack with a furious amount of punches and clubbing forearm blows around the head and neck of Hogg. The bigger man is trying to get his bearings as the attack hasn't taken him down at all, but is really slowing him up in that corner. Finally, James steps back and just kicks Hogg right in the groin area as the fans erupt in boos while watching Hogg drop to a knee in the corner.] CHANEY: BLATANT LOW BLOW BY JAMES!!! Is there a level he won't stoop to in order to win? WATTERS: Considering a win is not normally in the cards for him, I would say that last Rampage inspired him to pull out all the stops in this one! And can you blame him? CHANEY: Well wouldn't you want to get a win fair and square? WATTERS: How you get there is overrated. All that matters is having your hand raised, period. [James raises both hands in the "hook 'em horns" hand signal and smiles ominously to show how much he is enjoying what he is doing. He turns around and Hogg almost leaps out of his position in the corner and lands a nasty lariat that drops James to the canvas in short order as the fans cheer loudly.] CHANEY: HOGG TURNS THE TABLES!!! What a lariat! WATTERS: Hogg is powerful and James didn't really capitalize on the chance he had. Hogg is a veteran and he made him pay for it. CHANEY: James also disrespected Hogg by throwing up the Texas hand sign! WATTERS: I still don't understand this as James is FROM TEXAS! He's allowed to throw that hand sign up!!! [Hogg slowly gets to his feet and then reaches to pull James up to his. Hogg grabs hold of James by the neck and then uses his right hand to throw a hook punch to the stomach. James is visibly affected by the shot, but Hogg doesn't allow him to bend down as he holds him up and headbutts him, dropping him to the mat again.] CHANEY: Nasty headbutt by the veteran and James may be in real trouble now. WATTERS: Hogg is nearly four-hundred pounds. Almost anybody would be in trouble against him. CHANEY: Almost? WATTERS: There are a few guys that are big enough to take him on straight up. But not many here in SCW yet and that is frightening. [Hogg raises the horns to the crowd and they go nuts. The Big Boss again reaches and pulls James up to his feet and holds him by the neck again to land a knee lift into the stomach area. He quickly yanks James into his arms and leaps for a belly-to-belly suplex that shakes the ring.] CHANEY: BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX FROM HOGG!!!! WATTERS: He covers by laying over him! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THR...................NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHANEY: James gets a shoulder up and stays alive in this match. WATTERS: He may regret that, Chaney. CHANEY: Are you talking about Hogg not hooking a leg on that cover? WATTERS: Perhaps. I think James may regret it unless he has some great plan in his head. [Hogg grins as he gets up to his feet. He is just enjoying the match and not thinking about the near fall. He pulls James off the mat and to his feet and grabs onto him, scooping him up with a one-armed scoop slam. The fans cheer Hogg having the advantage.] CHANEY: Listen to these fans as Big Boss Hogg uses only one arm to scoop James up and over for a bodyslam! WATTERS: There is a massive disparity in size in there right now. I don't like it, but Hogg is doing what he should do with that advantage. CHANEY: And that is? WATTERS: Dominate. [Hogg wastes little time and drops an elbow drop right onto the back James' left knee and Billy yelps after the impact. Hogg moves as fast as he can and gets back to his feet only top drop again, this time with a leg drop across James' back.] CHANEY: BIIIIIIG LEG DROP FROM HOGG! WATTERS: That takes the wind out of you! Here's another cover! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRRREE........................KICKOUT!!!! CHANEY: JAMES ESCAPES AGAIN!!! WATTERS: Hogg's confidence is his problem. He isn't trying to hook a leg or anything. He is just using his size to try and keep control of the pin. CHANEY: Well he is huge. WATTERS: That isn't the point. He could be twice the size and if you give openings, most guys can squeak by and escape. [Hogg slowly makes his way back to his feet and reach to pull James up by his hair yet again. As Billy starts to rise off the canvas, he throws his arm as hard as he can between Hogg's legs for a low blow that stops all of Hogg's momentum.] CHANEY: ANOTHER LOW BLOW BY BILLY JAMES!!! WATTERS: Hogg will be holding a pound of "Aunt Betty's Nut Butter" after this one! CHANEY: At what point does the referee disqualify? WATTERS: He is being warned, but not paying attention at all. Our referees don't always command the respect the ought to, and that is their problem. [James throws a punch to Hogg's throat that staggers the big man, allowing Billy the chance to get back to his feet fully. James grabs Hogg by the arm and shoots him across the ring into the turnbuckle across the way. Hogg hits with a thud and the fans groan at the impact.] CHANEY: I think that moved the ring, Larry! WATTERS: James used all he had to send Hogg into the turnbuckles and the big man surely felt that one! CHANEY: James is feeling the momentum shift in his favor and the fans hate every second of it. WATTERS: The same fans that cheered when his name was announced in victory over Chase last Rampage. I doubt he gives a damn what they think. [Hogg stumbles out of the corner and James shoot him across the other direction and into the opposite corner with ferocity. James takes off and runs to the corner and leaps for another splash, but Hogg catches him and then jumps forward for a nasty powerslam that gets the crowd to erupt in cheers.] CHANEY: HOGG CATCHES JAMES IN THE AIR AND POWERSLAMS HIM STRAIGHT TO HELL!!! WATTERS: That sounded like it had some bar-b-que sauce on it, Chaney. Be careful for trademark infringement! CHANEY: I'm just calling the damn match, Larry and Big Boss Hogg just turned it on a dime! WATTERS: James went to the well one too many times there and paid for it. [Hogg rises to his feet with a grin on his face as he pulls James by the hair and grabs his left arm under the elbow, then the right. Everyone knows what is going to happen as Hogg lifts James and hits a double-underhook sit-out power bomb in the center of the ring.] CHANEY: BOSS BOMB! This one is over!!! WATTERS: And *NOW* he hooks the leg! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRRRREEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHANEY: BIG BOSS HOGG WITH THE VICTORY ON RAMPAGE!!! WATTERS: The veteran shows why he has had success everywhere he has been. CHANEY: James put up a good fight, even if much of what he did was outside the rule book. WATTERS: Just leave that mess alone. James did what he felt he needed to, but I do agree he needs more than a few low blows to beat a man like Hogg. [Hogg raises both arms in triumph with the "hook 'em horns" hand signal proudly displayed. The fans cheer with him as his music begins to play yet again.] CHANEY: These fans are just loving the big guy in SCW! WATTERS: Of course they are. They are sheep and sheep are led wherever the wind blows because they are dumb. CHANEY: Larry! WATTERS: Well, they are! [The screen cuts away...]
[The screen cuts to show El Principe is pacing the floor backstage and with a shout of 'We're live,' suddenly turns around, sans any interviewer this time.] PRINCIPE: Gracias por decirme que estamos en la televisión, idiotas. [He's too much, isn't he?] [Someone calls out to ask El Principe if he's done.] [And with that, the screen cuts away.]
[As we come back from commercial break the ring announcer, Aaron Buffington, is poised and ready to introduce the next match.] Cue: "Take Me To The Hospital" by The Prodigy WATTERS: Hold on, wait! This isn't on my run sheet. What the hell is going on? CHANEY: It sounds very much like Johnny Psychotic has something to say. WATTERS: Well - that will make a change. He usually has Nixon doing his talking. [Johnny Psychotic stomps through the curtain and makes his way down to the ring with Tiberius Nixon scampering behind him clutching a microphone.] NIXON: Now just wait a damn minute. You need to get out of the ring, right now. [He points at Buffington who looks miffed and then shrugs and leaves the ring. Psychotic slides under the bottom rope and into the ring as Nixon climbs the ring steps and makes his way through the ring ropes.] NIXON: I am so sick of this! CHANEY: What's wrong with him? WATTERS: I think I might have an idea but I'll let him tell you. NIXON: I am so sick of the fact that for the second show in a row - this man. [He slaps Psychotic on the back.] NIXON: This man has no match and it seems to have been forgotten by senior management that he is part of the ongoing Lonestar Championship tournament. Now, I'm not going to stand here and tell you what is wrong with that situation because that should be painfully obvious. But I am going to tell you this right now - myself and the big man right here are not going anywhere until we get some respect and we get some competition. [With that Psychotic drops to the canvas and rolls out of the ring before looking underneath it and pulling out two steel chairs. He slides them into the ring and Nixon sets them up as Psychotic re-enters the ring. They both sit on one of the seats as the crowd looks on. WATTERS: So what the hell happens now? CHANEY: We wait – I guess. [It is at that moment that Hank Wright walks out. He has no microphone in hand and his entrance music doesn't play. All the earmarks of something not planned to occur. He makes his way with some haste to the ring where the sit-in is taking place.] WATTERS: Looks like we didn't have to wait long. CHANEY: It's a tight schedule tonight, Larry. We only have so long on the air. [Hank enters the ring and begins speaking to Nixon and Psychotic. We cannot hear what has been said, but it can't be positive as Nixon is shaking his head furiously. After a bit, Nixon raises the mic and refuses to be quieted.] NIXON: Listen here, I don't care one single bit about the schedule or our advertisers. I don't care that you think this is disrespectful. The only thing I care about is the respect due myself and "The Human Heart Attack" Johnny Psychotic. Get him someone out here and now! [Hank looks angry, but asks for a microphone. A stage hand gives him one and the Texas legend finally speaks where all can hear him.] WRIGHT: You know, one of the things I don't miss is the entitled pieces of garbage like you coming out here and hijacking the show. I could have security come out here and forcibly remove you both from the arena completely. [He pauses while staring down Psychotic and Nixon with a glare that could cut diamonds.] WRIGHT: And if I did that, I would also terminate your contracts and make sure your opportunity here in SCW were finished. [The crowd gives a reaction of ominous intent with that as Nixon and Psychotic seem irritated by the statement from the Commissioner.] WRIGHT: But, I do want to see everyone get the best chance and there was a scheduling mishap that moved some matches around from the original tourney schedule. So, as a competitor, I understand your complaint and will take care of it right now.... [He pauses and points to the ramp.] WRIGHT: GEMINI, GET OUT HERE!!! [And with that Gemini's music begins to play and the veteran journeyman stepped out from behind the curtain. He walks down the aisle as Hank makes his way back up. Wright stops him and shakes his hand, and the camera picks up Hank telling, "Rip his tits off." Gemini nods as he continues making his way to the ring and climbs inside.] [The screen cuts to a picture of the entire arena as the match graphic appears on the screen.]
[The screen returns to the view of the ring as Nixon and Psychotic are talking in a corner and the referee slides into the ring so it is an official match.] CHANEY: We have a referee, so I guess Nixon bullied his way into getting a match for his man! WATTERS: Good for him! Someone that actually WANTS to compete! [Gemini doesn't wait for any instructions as he rushes the "human heart attack" and shoulder blocks him into the corner. The referee furiously begins to call for the bell.] [DING! DING!! DING!!!] CHANEY: GEMINI GOING RIGHT AFTER JOHNNY PSYCHOTIC! I can't believe this! WATTERS: The boss told him what to do and I guess the man took him literally! That is what I like to see! CHANEY: Gemini attacks before the bell and Johnny Psychotic is stuck in that corner and taking a beating. WATTERS: He hasn't had a chance to do anything except try and protect himself. Impressive start from Gemini! [Gemini begins to wail as many punches and kicks as he can to Psychotic in the corner. Nixon is going nuts on the outside, yelling for the referee to stop this insanity. The referee is trying, having rushed over after calling for the bell and is trying to pry himself between the pair in that corner to no avail.] CHANEY: The referee is really trying to stop this, as they are against the ropes and Gemini is giving no real space. WATTERS: Psychotic needs to step up and show why he demanded this match. CHANEY: Well it was Nixon that demanded it, Larry. WATTERS: Doesn't matter. Nixon wouldn't do anything Johnny wasn't fine with beforehand. [Gemini takes his left arm and shoves the referee away, which gets the crowd a little antsy against him. He then turns and lands another haymaker to the side of Psychotic's face, despite Johnny trying to hold his arms up to block as if in the middle of a boxing match. Gemini is just throwing everything he can in that corner to try and take down his opponent.] CHANEY: Gemini continuing to throw everything but the kitchen sink at Johnny Psychotic in that corner! WATTERS: That referee just needs to steer clear. He could get his clock cleaned accidentally if he keeps trying to horn in there. CHANEY: That would be a disqualification immediately. WATTERS: And that would be a shame, wouldn't it? [Gemini grabs an arm and whips Johnny across the ring and into the opposite corner. Psychotic hits with a thud and then has Gemini crashing into him with a shoulder block into the corner again. Nixon is screaming at the top of his lungs for the referee to disqualify Gemini for such behavior.] CHANEY: Gemini with a wicked combo in the opposite corner and you have to wonder if Johnny will ever get out of this one. WATTERS: They asked for it and now they have to live with it. Johnny is better than we are seeing, I will admit. CHANEY: He needs to show why he is a former tag team champion and right now. WATTERS: I agree with you and that makes me physically sick. [Gemini sets Psychotic up for another whip across the ring and shoots him across to the opposite turnbuckles again. Johnny hits with a thud, but moves out of the way as Gemini comes running in for another shoulder block. Gemini ends up going between the middle and top ropes and hitting his shoulder on the ring post as the crowd groans with the impact.] CHANEY: GEMINI HITS THE RING POST!!!! WATTERS: That split second veteran thinking by Johnny Psychotic has turned this match on its ear! CHANEY: And "Stud Muffin" out here is jumping for joy. WATTERS: As he should! His man withstood a barrage and now has the edge in this one. Now watch what happens when a veteran gets the chance to attack a possibly injured man. [Johnny wastes no time in taking advantage. He grabs Gemini from behind and pulls him out of the ropes, lifting him for a German Suplex toward the center of the ring. Nixon has gone from being angry to jubilant on the outside now that his man is in control.] CHANEY: Release German Suplex from Psychotic! WATTERS: That had some real stank on it, too! CHANEY: These men are about the same height, but that extra twenty pounds of weight really makes a difference, I guess. WATTERS: It does. It also is good for the man with that extra weight to be solid technically like Johnny is as well. [Psychotic goes and pulls Gemini up and lifts him for a vertical suplex. Once he has him in the air, he holds him up straight and leaves him up there for several seconds as Nixon does some celebrating on the outside. Nixon makes the "drop him" motion and Johnny drops back for a nasty vertical suplex in the center of the ring.] CHANEY: BIIIIIIIGGGGG VERTICAL SUPLEX BY JOHNNY PSYCHOTIC!!! WATTERS: He held him up there a long time and that blood rushed to his head, adding to the impact! CHANEY: I dare say he could go for the pin right now, huh Larry? WATTERS: He probably could, but remember they asked for this match and that means there is a specific point that these two wanted to make. [Johnny nods to himself as he rises up and again reaches to pull Gemini to his feet. He clamps on the waistlock from behind and hits a German Suplex. This time he doesn't release and rolls through, lifting for a second one.....and then a third one, which he releases and Gemini lands in a heap on the canvas.] CHANEY: THREE SUCCESSIVE GERMAN SUPLEXES BY PSYCHOTIC!!! Gemini is in serious trouble now. WATTERS: Gemini probably doesn't even know where he is at right now! CHANEY: Well does that mean he has traveled to the popular city known as Sup.... WATTERS: (interrupting) Don't even go there, Chaney. It isn't worth it. [Johnny is again over and pulls Gemini up to his feet. He nudges him toward the corner, where he lifts him up to the top turnbuckle. He climbs up with him as Nixon again celebrates loudly on the outside. Psychotic sets up for a top rope superplex, which is his finisher. He finally lifts and the two men crash down in the center of the ring with authority.] CHANEY: PSYCHOPLEX!!! HE HIT THE BIG SUPERPLEX AND THIS ONE IS OVER!!! WATTERS: Johnny covers and doesn't even hook a leg! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHANEY: That does it! Johnny Psychotic is the winner! WATTERS: Never any doubt at all, even with the early flurry of offense by Gemini. CHANEY: Yeah the surprise attack gave him a chance to get some in, but once he made the mistake and hit that ring post it was over. WATTERS: Sometimes it is just that simple. [Nixon enters the ring and raises Johnny's arm in victory, then he points to Gemini and tells him to get him out of here. Psychotic pulls Gemini up and throws him over the top rope and to the arena floor as Nixon raises both of his arms in victory. Johnny stands near the ropes looking strong as Nixon points to him with pride.] CHANEY: PSYCHOTIC THROWS GEMINI OUT OF THE RING!!! WATTERS: Takin' out the trash, so to speak! CHANEY: Johnny Psychotic and Tiberius Nixon making a serious statement tonight on Rampage! WATTERS: Indeed, and the rest of their Title Tournament group better be paying attention. CHANEY: You think this was that strong? WATTERS: Yes I do, Chaney. This is the fire in the belly some seem to lack. He will be a champion in SCW. I have no doubt. [The screen cuts away...]
[The screen shows a camera on the move. We aren't sure why, but it is moving. It rounds the corner and Gordon Gaines comes into view. He is standing in his ring gear looking at a full length mirror. He is talking to himself.] GAINES: Oh you think you are the man, Son of Malta? What the hell does that even mean? [He makes a confused face.] GAINES: Are you literally the son of entire freaking country? And if you are, what does that say about your mother? [He chuckles to himself and then his expression goes serious suddenly.] GAINES: Oh I know you were supposedly a big deal somewhere else, but here you are just my bitch. Get used to it because I'm going to treat you to the kind of whipping that pay extra for in some places. [He nods.] GAINES: That's right. You won't be the Son of Malta when I'm through with you. Nope. Your name will be "Gaines' Bitch." [He starts chuckling again as Tess Wiley rushes up with camera guy following. She taps him on the shoulder and his smile disappears in an expression of shock as she starts speaking.] WILEY: Mr. Gaines, as you prepare for the debuting Son of Malta, what are your thoughts? [She puts the microphone in his face, but he says nothing. After several seconds, she tries again.] WILEY: You were saying something when we rounded the corner. I was wondering what that was and if you wanted to direct anything toward Son of Malta as you prepare for the match? [She again moves the mic in front of his face, but the shock expression gives way to an angry one and with a furled brow, Gaines walks away.] WILEY: I guess he's staying focused when cameras are around. Oh well. [The screen starts to fade and then cuts away.]
[The screen cuts back to the view of our announcers sitting at the ringside announce table.] CHANEY: Gordon Gaines not speaking to Tess Wiley. He must be focused. WATTERS: Or scared! He had plenty to say when he thought he was alone. That tells me that he is scared to death at facing Son of Malta later tonight. CHANEY: We shall see, Larry, but not it is time for the debut of the Trailer Park Assassinz! WATTERS: Oh Good God.... CHANEY: This team is finally ready to make their debut, so let's head to the ring as 'Nuff Said has already hit the ring!
[The action returns to ringside to find one-half of the participants in the upcoming contest already in the ring. As we are in the wide view, the graphic appears over the screen.]
[The graphic fades as the screen switches to close in on Kamikaze Keith and Suicidal Steve, who hold up an arm to acknowledge the fans as the ring announcer makes their introduction.] BUFFINGTON: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Already in the ring, at a combined weight of 431 pounds, the team of 'Kamikaze' Keith and 'Suicidal' Steve...'NUFF! SAID!!! [A small but enthusiastic reaction erupts as the two team members once again acknowledge the crowd, before returning to their limbering exercises as they wait for their opponents. And they do not have to wait long at all, as soon the trduging riff of Obituary's 'Redneck Stomp' starts up on the arena's sound system, announcing the arrival of the love-them-or- hate-them team of Brutalizer and Destruktor, the self-styled TRAILER PARK ASSASSINZ.] BUFFINGTON: And their opponents, from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, at a combined weight of 160 pounds...the team of Brutalizer and Destruktor...the TRAILER! PARK! ASSASSINZ! [A moment later, the two Assassinz erupt through the curtain, in all their chest-thumping, devil-horning, homemade-mask glory. They pause for a moment on the entrance platform, the better to headbang to their own entrance song, then briefly turn their heads towards one another before running in for a full-on chest-bump. Only then do they resume making their way down to the ringside area... ...and promptly get intercepted by two dark-clad, official-looking figures!] CHANEY: What...?! What's going on?! WATTERS: I'll tell you what's going on! These two clowns are 'bout to be taught a lesson in United States politics. Today's subject...BORDER CONTROL! [In fact, the two men now standing between the TPA and the entrance ramp are none other than the team of political enforcers now officially known as Border Control. The two virtually indistinguishable men look, however, a little less poised and official than usual, each wearing a smug smirk on his features as he sizes up his respective half of the TPA. Then, after exchanging a brief glance with each other, the two rush towards their quarry... ...who just about manage to avoid them by ducking underneath their extended, lariat- throwing arms!] CHANEY: Quick thinking there from the Assassinz, avoiding what could be a very tough outcome for them indeed! WATTERS: Yes, Chaney, but the question now is...do they have a plan? And I very much doubt THAT. [Watters may, however, have to eat his own words, as Brutalizer and Destruktor seem to, if not have a plan, then at least be able to think on their feet. For no sooner have they avoided the attack from Border Control that they slide under the ring apron and disappear underneath the ring, out of their assailants' or anybody else's sight. Border Control, however, do not allow themselves to be fazed by this, and retain their cool, collected attitude as they begin to search for the elusive Assassinz. After a moment's fruitless peering around the ring, the shorter of the two men appears to have an idea, and nudges his distracted colleague. Once he has the second man's attention, he points in the direction of the ring apron, a gesture his colleague immediately understands. The two then immediately fan out, each circling around the ring from one side, before simultaneously lifting the apron... ...and getting jabbed in the stomach with the blunt end of a foreign object! As the two government spooks double over, the Trailer Park Assassinz make their triumphant re-appearance, each armed with a weapon – Destruktor with a steel chair, his partner with a baseball bat. The crowd erupt as they realise what happened, and even the announcers cannot help but credit the duo: ] WATTERS: ...okay, I gotta admit...THAT was pretty smart! [The TPA, however, know better than to rest on their laurels, and promptly go about finishing what they started. One weapon shot to the back later, both members of Border Control are laid out, and unlikely to be a hindrance to the two masked men any time soon. Having allowed themselves a high-five and fist bump for a job well done, the self-styled Assassinz are now finally free to focus on their original reason for coming out here – namely, the match at hand. To their credit, Suicidal Steve and Kamikaze Keith have been nothing if not patient while the ringside shenaningans were going on, but they – like the Assassinz themselves – seem to relish the opportunity to finally start the match. Brutalizer and Destruktor certainly do not pose any further objections to this occurring, and as such, it takes no more than a moment or two for the four wrestlers to be shaking hands and assuming their positions for the start of the match.] CHANEY: Here we go, at long last! [Before anyone throws so much as a punch, however, the feed momentarily becomes picture-on- picture, as viewers at home are taken backstage, where the manager to Border Control, Lexi Darlington, watches the latest goings-on with visible apprehension. As her two allies are taken down by the Assassinz' weapons shots, she becomes borderline frantic, and immediately begins to dial a number on her cellphone. She then steps briskly off-camera to make her call in private, but her first few words are nonetheless audible: ] LEXI: ...hello, Police...? [As the feed comes out of picture-on-picture mode and returns to normal, in the ring, the match is finally under way. Steve and Destruktor, the smaller men for either team, start off as the legal representatives for their respective sides, and straight away, the difference between the two teams becomes evident. Steve, while clearly hyped to be wrestling, nonetheless seems focused and aware of the job at hand. Destruktor's body language, on the other hand, projects the exact opposite message – the colloquial expression most frequently used to describe his demeanour as the bell rings is 'shitting bricks'. Regardless, he tries his best to mask his apprehension – derived in no small part from the lack of legal weapons in the matchup – as he rushes towards his opponent... ...and gets run over with a clothesline!] CHANEY: First blood drawn by Suicidal Steve... WATTERS: I think that's a pretty good indication of how this match is gonna go from here... CHANEY: ...you can't know that...! WATTERS: Well, put it this way. One team can wrestle badly. The other can't wrestle for BLEEP. Who d'you think has the advantage? [Admittedly, Chaney has no reply for this, and chooses to keep his silence as Steve follows up on his initial offense by running to the opposite ropes and launching into a flashy springboard moonsault. Destruktor, who had just been rolling to his feet, catches the full brunt of the move, and goes right back down to the mat again! Steve takes advantage of his position and covers...] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .................KICKOUT! CHANEY: Not so fast there, Buckaroo... WATTERS: I swear these guys are brain-dead. You think you're gonna win ten seconds into a match?! C'mon now! CHANEY: No harm in tryin', Watters... [Watters still does not seem too convinced, but chooses to bite his tongue in this occasion, and instead follow the action. And not a moment too soon, either, as – buoyed by his success – Steve picks up the still hapless Destruktor and throws him into his team's corner, only to run in and connect with an European uppercut! The move connects successfully and, with Destruktor reeling from the double impact, Steve sees the perfect opportunity to tag in his partner, Kamikaze Keith! No sooner is his hand slapped than the bigger of the two members of 'Nuff Said seeks to live up to his name and reputation. Rather than entering the ring, Keith instead scales the turnbuckle, from the top of which he launches onto a still groggy Destruktor with a big tumbleweed! The crowd go nuts as the move lands, taking Destruktor right back down to the mat and creating another pin opportunity for 'Nuff Said!] CHANEY: Steve and Keith have totally dominated this match so far, and are hardly letting that young man get a word in edgewise. WATTERS: Like I said, Chaney...they're spot monkeys, but at least they know the basics. Unlike Backyard Baby over there... [Said Backyard Baby seems, indeed, to be in very dire straits as he once again finds himself on the pinning end of a predicament. The referee slides in...] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TW.................................KICKOUT! CHANEY: Short two-count there, but I tell you what – if 'Nuff Said keep things at this pace, they could well be on their way to a big win here! WATTERS: I wouldn't call it a 'big' win necessarily, but I see your point. It's a one-way street in there at the minute... [So it is – and it looks set to continue, as Keith starts over from his unsuccessful pin by picking Destruktor up and setting him up in a powerbomb position. He traps his opponent's head between his legs, lifts him up... ...and Destruktor comes alive with a series of punches to his opponent's head!!!] CHANEY: Finally a reaction from the Assassinz' legal man...erm...Destruktor.... WATTERS: ...not Destroying an awful lot so far... [That, however, may be about to change, as the punches rock Keith just enough to make him release his grip on Destruktor slightly, giving the Trailer Park Assassin a chance to send him flying with a headscissors counter!] WATTERS: Holy crap! Waitaminute! They can wrestle after all?! CHANEY: ...sure looks like it... [Destruktor seems just as in disbelief as Watters as he rolls through to his feet, realizes what happened, and immediately takes to celebrating, thumping his chest and letting out a primal scream. In the corner, his partner seems just as excited, offering what are undoubtedly words of encouragement.] WATTERS: Aw, gimme a break! It was ONE MOVE! CHANEY: Hate to agree with ya, Watters, but you got a point...these young men don't want to get over-confident... [To his credit, Brutalizer appears to be aware of precisely this, and soon seeks to relay the message to his partner across the ring. He offers his extended arm, calling for a tag, but Destruktor appears to have other ideas. He holds up a finger, signalling 'not yet', ponders for a moment about what to do...then slides into Keith's face with a powerful baseball slide!] WATTERS: And another makes two! Two whole wrestlin' moves from these guys! That's two more than I thought they would get here... [Destruktor is about to start his one-man party all over again, but seems to think better of it, halting himself and looking down at Keith again. He hesitates for no more than a split-second before connecting with a big stomp to the back of the head, drilling his opponent to the mat!] WATTERS; CURB STOMP!!! He's gonna feel that in the morning... CHANEY: It appears the TPA may have found a way into this match...and yes, here's the cover from Destruktor! [Indeed, Destruktor has slid over the top of his opponent and hooked a leg, just in time for the referee to slide in...] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TW.................................KICKOUT! CHANEY: Not this time! Kickout at two from Kamikaze Keith! WATTERS: Nice try, though, kid. A for effort. [Despite the failed pin attempt, Destruktor and his team still have the upper hand – and this time, he appears unwilling to take any chances with regards to keeping it. Proof of this is that, this time around, he does accept his partner's proffered hand, slapping it and bringing Brutalizer into the match for the first time!] WATTERS: And here comes the big one! [Unlike the somewhat reticent Destruktor, Brutalizer wastes no time asserting himself. To be sure, he has the upper hand over a fallen opponent, but his confidence is still in stark contrast to that of his tag team partner as he picks Keith up and delivers a headbutt! He then seeks to keep his momentum by throwing the Kamikaze One into the nearest corner and running in with an uppercut! Keith is out on his feet after that, giving Brutalizer not only the room, but the confidence to reach in and whip his opponent into the ropes, before running in with a big crossbody... ...THAT HE MISSES!!! Keith somehow has enough werewithal to dodge out of the way, and the bigger of the two Trailer Park Assassinz eats a mouthful of ring ropes for his troubles!!] WATTERS: De-NIED! CHANEY: Quick reflexes from Kamikaze Keith, and 'Nuff Said are right back in this one...if he can make the tag... [...which he can, stumbling and groggy, but just conscious enough to know which direction to move in, and just aware enough to see his partner's hand and slap it. Just like that, Suicidal Steve is back in the match, and the tables have turned yet again!] WATTERS: Uh-oh...watch out, kid! [Just coming to his senses after his close encounter with the ring ropes, Brutalizer is powerless to resist as Steve rushes in with an European uppercut, making a bad situation even that little bit worse! With his opponent practically out on his feet – not unlike Steve's own partner moments before – the Suicidal Maniac quickly follows up with a clothesline, taking his opponent down yet again. The crowd erupt as the high-flyer finds himself with enough space and time to do what he does best, and promptly seeks to capitalize. Quick and nimble as a cat, he climbs up the nearest turnbuckle, takes no more than a brief moment to steady himself...then takes off with his second Tumbleweed of the match! The move connects flush, and Steve immediately covers...] . ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ....THE PIN IS BROKEN BY DESTRUKTOR! CHANEY: Close call there for Brutalizer, saved by his tag team partner! WATTERS: These kids are starting to get how this works.... [The announcer, however, appears to change his mind when he sees how Destruktor is arguing with the referee as the official sends him back to his corner, adding: ] WATTERS: ...OK, maybe not. [As the official continues to argue with the smallest of the Assassinz, Steve seeks to capitalize on his almost-successful pin attempt. With his opponent still down and seemingly out, the Suicidal One climbs the turnbuckle yet again, looking to take off with yet another Tumbleweed attempt... ...ONLY TO EAT A MOUTHFUL OF MAT AS BRUTALIZER DODGES!!] CHANEY: Crash landing, and the TPA look to be right back in this one! WATTERS: Only if the kid knows what to do from here... [To his credit, however, Brutalizer once again seems calm and collected as he shakes off the cobwebs and prepares to regain the upper hand for his team. This, he does by stepping in and dragging the equally groggy Steve to his feet before connecting with a series of punches to his opponent's face and chest. Unable to react quickly enough, Steve feels each and every one of these, and finds himself leaning up against the ropes as a result. Not for long, however, as Brutalizer reaches in and whips him across to his team's corner.... ...where the referee is still arguing with Destruktor!! The result, which both Brutalizer and the crowd see coming a moment before it inevitably does, is predictable – even a panicked warning cry from Brutalizer cannot get the official to move out of the way quickly enough, and he catches the full brunt of Suicidal Steve smack on his back, causing him to topple to the floor. As he falls, his head bounces off the mat, effectively leaving him unconscious, and the match temporarily without a referee!] CHANEY: A miscalculation from Brutalizer, and down goes our match official! WATTERS: Miscalculation my ass...I think I like these kids! CHANEY: ...are you implying...? WATTERS: What if I am? [It is clear to anyone watching, however, that the move was completely unintentional on the part of the TPA. Proof of this is that both members of the team appear distraught and at a loss as to what to do, promptly attempting to revive the referee, and profusely apologising to the conscious member of the opposing team, Suicidal Steve.] WATTERS: What are they doing?! Go for the win! For the WIN! CHANEY: It appears they don't want to win just any old way, Watters...more credit to them! WATTERS: Credit schmedit. They don't DESERVE to win! Freaking idiots! CHANEY: They COULDN'T win anyway, Watters...the referee's down... WATTERS: That's...uh...that's beside the point! [Before Chaney can deliver the killer blow and shut down his announcing partner once and for all, however, all hell breaks loose at ringside. Taking advantage of the referee being down, two dark-clad and freshly revived figures enter the ring, making a beeline for the two masked Assassinz!] CHANEY: WATCH OUT!!! [Too late. One moment Brutalizer and Destruktor are shaking the referee by the shoulder, seeking to revive him, the next they have been clubbed on the back of the head, from behind, by the two members of Border Control!! As the two masked men topple to the floor, Kamikaze Keith appears to take issue with Border Control's interference, and seeks to stands up to the intruders. This gets him a sizeable cheer from the crowd, but sadly, no other result...unless, of course, one counts the stereo lariats that drive him to the mat and effectively put him out of commission!] CHANEY: Keith seeking to stand up to the bullies there...but to no avail! WATTERS: That'll teach him to white knight! [With no other opposition to attempt to stop them, Border Control are now free to go to town on their considerably smaller opponents – which they promptly do. Stomp after stomp lands on Brutalizer and Destruktor's head, face and chest, and it is not too long before their masks have turned from off-white to a medium brown, as a result of blood seeping through the fabric.] CHANEY: Not THIS again! WATTERS: Don't be such a freaking liberal, Chaney. It's unpatriotic. [Chaney looks poised to respond - and potentially spark a political debate - but, like before, circumstances cut this particular conversation short. For another figure has just joined in the fray – one who far outmuscles anyone else in the ring, and who has the element of surprise in his favour as he makes a beeline for Border Control. A moment later, both dark-clad men find their feet connecting with nothing but air, as they get picked up by the scruff of the neck and unceremoniously carried across the ring by the newcomer!] CHANEY: HOGG! IT'S BOSS HOGG! WATTERS: WHAT?! I thought he was a God-fearin' American! What's he doing interfering with official affairs! CHANEY: Those were hardly 'official affairs', Watters... WATTERS: 'Course they were! That hot chick they hang out with is a politician, ain't she? With a lectern and everything! [Whatever the case may be, Border Control are currently helpless to prevent their fate – namely, being tossed first over the ropes, and then over the barricade, by Big Boss Hogg. His job done and mission accomplished, the hulking wrestler then re-enters the ring, to check on the two Assassinz and give the referee a nudge of his own. Being considerably stronger and having a firmer grip than the masked men, he is also a lot more successful in this particular regard, and it does not take more than a few seconds for the official to begin regaining consciousness and shaking off the grogginess resulting from his bump. Seeing this, Boss Hogg quickly steps out of the way, allowing the official to assess the situation... ...which he never gets to properly do, as just then the arena is invaded by what appears to be the local police force!] CHANEY: Wha...the cops?! WATTERS: Quick! Hide my stash! [The reason for the presence of the law enforcement agents, initially mystifying to the live audience, soon becomes apparent, as they notice a small but intense figure running ahead of the line. This turns out to be the manager of Border Control, Lexi Darlington, who frantically points towards the ring as she appears to give the agents orders.] CHANEY: What on EARTH is going on? [The cops, having properly assessed the situation, appear to have the same question. What's more, they do not seem the slightest bit pleased with Darlington – at least judging by the amount of frowning, dirty looks she is getting from them. She chooses to disregard these, instead continuing to shriek at the law enforcement professionals, but the local PD appears to have had enough – one by one, they all turn away and walk back out the way they came, a few stopping just long enough to shoot Lexi another murderous glare. As for the manager, she seems torn between giving chase and checking on her team, and opts for a compromise, angrily shouting at the retreating police officers from her spot at ringside. In amidst all this, the referee has fully come to his senses, and, after assessing the situation all around him, does the only sensible thing – throwing out the match. A moment later, the bell rings, officially signalling the referee's decision to award a no-contest!] RESULT: NO-CONTEST! [Visibly disappointed by this result, but also concerned for the physical condition of the participants in the match-up, the crowd give a mixed reaction, initially showing their disappointment, only to give the four contestants a cheer as they are helped out by SCW's first-aid team, with the help of Boss Hogg. Border Control, on the other hand, are seen off with a less than favourable reaction, although a few cheers and applause can be heard from a vocal minority. Such is the situation as the feed cuts away from the ring...
[The feed returns from commercial to find a commotion outside the arena, with raised voices and shouting audible from a considerable distance. As the mobile cameraman steps in closer, the source of said raised voices becomes distinguishable as a mass of bodies outside the front entrance of the venue. Another few steps, and said mass is revealed to be comprised of local law enforcement agents, disposed in a circle around a silver-haired Sergeant with a moustache, who is currently feeling the wrath of a very aggrieved, very indignant Lexi Darlington. To his credit, the man does attempt to maintain the situation as civil as possible, and is the picture of cool, collected authority as he states: ] SERGEANT: Next time, you might wanna think twice before you go sendin' for the Police, li'l lady... That counts as a felony in the state of Texas! [Lexi, however, is not giving an inch, and decides to fight authoritativeness with sheer volume: ] LEXI DARLINGTON: YOU CAN'T CHARGE ME! MY DADDY'S A SENATOR! AND I'LL TELL HIM WHAT HAPPENED, AND HE'LL SUE THE ENTIRE STATE OF TEXAS! AND WHEN THEY FIND OUT Y'ALL DID NOTHING TO STOP A TERRORIST ATTACK, Y'ALL ARE GOING TO HAVE TO FIND A NEW JOB! [The agents, however, do not seem too fazed by this, gracing the brunette's tirade with nothing but condescending chuckles ('terrorist attack!'). Then, at a sign from their sergeant, they begin to retreat, leaving the older man to give Darlington a few parting words: ] SERGEANT: You go right ahead an' do that, li'l lady. Though, maybe you ought'a tell your Daddy how lucky you were that we decided not to book you for callin' in a false report and wastin' our time... [Then, without giving the young woman so much as another second of attention, he turns away, still audibly grumbling under his breath: ] SERGEANT: ..a 'rasslin' match...some folk, I'll tell ya... [This leaves a very frustrated Lexi, who knows she has been defeated on this occasion, to petulantly stamp her foot as she whips her phone out of her pocket and begins to irritably dial a number. Who this call may be to, however, remains a mystery, as the brunette steps off-frame before whoever she is calling has the chance to pick up, leaving the cameraman to film nothing but an empty street in front of the arena. Predictably, from here, it does not take more than a few moments for the feed to return to the inside of said arena...]
[As commercials begin to play, this one runs first.] [The screen is black and we hear a very low booming voice come over the black screen.] VOICE OVER: There are millions of ways to find out more about the SCW and it's superstars. [We return to the ringside announce table and our superb announce team.] CHANEY: Looks like Lexxie has some plans up her sleeves. WATTERS: That little lady doesn't know quit and you have to admir that in her. Pretty nice to look at too! CHANEY: Don't start, Crusher! WATTERS: Crusher? I'd love to! CHANEY: Oh Goodness. WATTERS: In all seriousness, when a lady like that gets pissed off, you know you are about to see some grade "A" tail whipping at some point. She isn't going to just let things stay the way they are now. CHANEY: Well next Rampage you get your wish as Border Control is set to debut in that very ring! WATTERS: That's going to be great! CHANEY: And speaking of debuts, we are about to see the debut of the Son of Malta here in SCW. WATTERS: Alright! Now we're talking! This guy could be one of the toughest sons of a bitch I have ever seen in the ring. CHANEY: And now he is in SCW after years elsewhere. It is time to see what he can do. WATTERS: And Gordon Gaines....well son, it was nice knowing you! CHANEY: Let's head to the ring and see this one play out!
Introducing first, from Eden Prairie, Minnesota and weighing in at two hundred-forty-one pounds. Here is... "G O O D" G O R D O N G A I N E S ! ! ! [""Blaze of Glory" by Bon Jovi begins to play and Gordon Gaines walks out from behind the entrance curtain. Gaines is wearing his blue wrestling tights and a black suit jacket as he walks down to the ring looking focused as ever. He gets in the ring and raises his arms to a modest pop from the Dallas crowd.] CHANEY: Gordon Gaines is focused and not allowing anything to deter him from success tonight, Larry. WATTERS: I understand being focused, but we wee just told that Tess Wiley tried to get him for an interview and he waved her off and walked away. CHANEY: That is true focus right there. WATTERS: He is too amped. You have to take time to sell yourself to the crowd at home. CHANEY: Is that what you did, Crusher? WATTERS: You're damn right I did. [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON: And his opponent, hailing from Malta and weighing in at two hundred forty-two pounds. Here is... T H E S O N O F M A L T A ! ! ! [As the first notes of the Maltese National Anthem start playing, the lights dim and half of the arena starts screaming "Malta, Malta, Malta". Suddenly 6 persons wearing from head to feet in all black come out one after the other holdings a card each in this order: Card 1 - "Malta's Favorite Son" Card 2 - "Mentored by William Arthur Reagan" Card 3 - "The Best in the ring and in the Zone" Card 4 - "The man who is always followed by tragedy" Card 5 - "The man with nothing else to lose" Card 6 - "The Son of Malta" Once all 6 are out they form a guard of honour with 3 on each side and the lights all come back at the same time as The Son of Malta makes his way out wearing his usual black trenchcoat with a huge white Maltese Cross on the back. He walks slowly to the ring and takes his place in his corner.] CHANEY: Son of Malta has arrived in SCW! WATTERS: The man looks imposing, but I have been told that there are times when he pulls his punches and isn't the beast he can be. CHANEY: Critical of him already? WATTERS: Just going on what I have heard. [The referee spoke to both men as Malta never moved, keeping his spot nearly at dead center ring. Gaines comes over and maintains his focus as he nodded to the referee and even cracked a knowing grin. Finally the motion to the time keeper and it was on.] [DING! DING!! DING!!!] CHANEY: There's the bell and now we get to see what will happen as Gordon Gaines really feels like this is his night. WATTERS: We'll see. Right now Malta is just standing there! CHANEY: He doesn't need to move when nothing has happened yet, Larry. He is showing utter confidence. WATTERS: As well he should. I'm not sure Gaines has ever won a match! CHANEY: There is always a first time. WATTERS: And I bet you are still waiting for yours, huh Chaney? [Malta continues to stand in the same place as Gaines stoops into a fighter's stance and moved a little side to side. The journeyman is talking the whole time, but not loud enough for the microphones to catch it. The match is essentially a pair of equals far as size and weight, but Malta just stood more imposing in his stance.] CHANEY: Gaines looking for an opening. WATTERS: Or just delaying the inevitable. [Gordon finally took a chance and leaned back, throwing a nasty cross punch, which the Son of Malta caught with his left hand.] CHANEY: HE CAUGHT THE PUNCH! WATTERS: This is not going to end well. CHANEY: How do you know? WATTERS: Because...well... [Gaines' face registers shock, but before he can try to get his fist free, Malta retaliates with his own right cross to the nose of the veteran, causing an almost immediate explosion of blood from the nostrils.] CHANEY: SON OF MALTA JUST BUSTED HIS NOSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!!! WATTERS: See what I mean, Chaney? CHANEY: There are few men who could cause such damage with a single blow in SCW. That was an impressive amount of power. WATTERS: Perhaps we need to re-evaluate the future stock of this guy. [Malta doesn't let him fall, as he jerked that fist quickly and yanked Gaines right into his waiting arms, locking Gordon in a cobra clutch. Malta then lifts him for a nasty slam out of the hold. The crowd groans with the impact as Malta holds the shoulders down.] CHANEY: SON OF MALTA WITH A COBRA CLUTCH SLAM! WATTERS: And a pin! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRE...................MALTA PULLS HIS HEAD UP?!?!?! CHANEY: Why in the world would he give away a sure-fire pin? WATTERS: I can think of one reason, Chaney, and it doesn't look good for Gaines. CHANEY: What is that? WATTERS: He's not done teaching Gordon a lesson. He wants it to hurt and he wants the lesson to be one that is not easily forgotten. I would also say that this is a warning to the locker room as well. This man is a bad, bad man. [Son of Malta pulls Gaines off the canvas and back to his feet. He yanks the wobbly journeyman into a side headlock with vicious intent. As he does this, he yells out "See what talking gets you?" as the fans give a round of boos for the taunting.] CHANEY: THE SATAN OF SIDE HEADLOCKS! He has that locked in tight! WATTERS: From what I understand, he once won multiple matches by submission with this very move. CHANEY: Nobody wins with a side headlock! WATTERS: This guy can and has. Like I said.....a bad, bad man. [We can see the will of Gaines slowly fading in this hold as his right arm went limp down by his side. With the speed of a cat, Malta lets go of the hold and grabs Gordon for a snap belly-to-belly overhead suplex. The fans gasp again as Gaines was a literally bloody mess.] CHANEY: SON OF MALTA DELIVERS A NASTY SUPLEX AND GAINES IS IN SERIOUS TROUBLE!!! WATTERS: Gaines was in trouble the moment this match was signed. CHANEY: Malta looking to make a statement at the expense of Gordon Gaines! WATTERS: Well somebody had to be sacrificed and this guy was about to start getting on my nerves anyway. Might as well be him. [Malta quickly pulls Gaines to the middle of the ring and began to slam his face into the canvas over and over. With each slam he yelled a word... "NEXT..." *SMACK* "TIME..." *SMACK* "WATCH..." *SMACK* "YOUR..." *SMACK* "GODDAMNED..." *SMACK* "MOUTH!!!" *SMACK* Malta lets go of Gordon's head and mounted on top of his back facing his feet. He grabs the legs and put the veteran into a calf crusher. Gaines isn't moving or fighting back at all. Not a single reaction to Malta's submission being placed upon him. It was at that moment the referee began motioning for the bell.] CHANEY: SON OF MALTA WITH A CALF CRUSHER AND THIS MATCH IS OVER!!! That was fast! [DING! DING!! DING!!!] WATTERS: And it could have been faster! The man actually pulled Gaines off the mat a little bit ago. Think about that. CHANEY: The referee wants to make sure Gaines could at least walk out of the arena tonight. I have no doubt that Son of Malta would have tried to injure him. WATTERS: I don't think that was the intent, but it definitely could have been the result. [After the match official counted the three count for a hugely dominating win for the Son of Malta he asked for a mic which was gladly given to him. Once he had the mic in his hand he went to his corner and sit down and started to speak.] SOM: Today you have witnessed in person what I have been saying the past few weeks. I don't care who my opponent is or what he thinks he will achieve. Once I get in the ring I feel like it might be my last match ever. I have nothing else to lose. I lost my mentor, my best friend William Arthur Reagan in the ring when he was murdered by that Newcastle native Keegan. When I was finally getting back on enjoying life, I lost my son to a freak accident following a wrestling show in Malta. [He pauses to let his words sink in.] SOM: So as you can see I lost everything due to Wrestling and thus when I am in the ring I don't care about anything or anyone. I am there to dominate and as Gaines has seen tonight it is useless to open your big mouth when you are going to fight one of the elite, one of the epitome of wrestling. I am not a multiple time champion for nothing. I am a multiple time champion cos I am the best at what I do. I am the Son of Malta and what you have seen today is the start of something special. Years will pass by and you will be able to tell your grandkids that you were there in attendance when the Son of Malta started his path for greatness in SCW and how you saw him turn into that winning machine that everyone knew in the other place. [With that he points to the sky above, throws the mic down and nudges the side of his victim with his foot before looking up and shook his head with disdain. He signals for his music as he walks slowly to the back to a mixed reaction from the crowd.] CHANEY: The disrespect being shown to Gordon Gaines! Son of Malta looking invincible right now! WATTERS: Gaines called down the thunder on himself. He did his little rant and it cost him a great deal in there tonight! CHANEY: I wish I could disagree, Crusher. He has the right to say what he wants and consequences can and do result from those statements. WATTERS: Now where does he go from here? That is what I am curious about. [As the medical staff hits the ring and begins to check on Gordon Gaines.] CHANEY: Medical staff are out to help Gaines get back out of the ring. WATTERS: This Son of Malta is someone people need to keep an eye on! CHANEY: How is it you put it, Larry? WATTERS: He's a bad, bad man! [The screen cuts away...]
[We have the arrival backstage of a lucha legend, Masked Maniac. The masked ladies man struts into the arena like only the masked king of swag can. To his right is his loyal pupil and partner in crime, The Masked Wingman. The much taller masked loyal amigo has both his and Masked Maniac's bags around his large shoulders. Both men walk the halls with a pep in their step as they look to make their SCW debut _TONIGHT_!] MM: This is what it's about, ami-bro! [Maniac's silent partner just nods taking it all in as they continue to head towards the locker room.] MM: Tonight, you take the next step in your career. You have been training hard in the gym. You have perfected your skills. All those hours of training and watching my back has led you to this point in time. It hasn't been easy. There has been lots of pain and tears. However, my student, you have earned tonight. Soak it all in! Enjoy the admiration of the fans and the orgasmic screams from the ladies in the audience. [The Masked Wingman pauses and tilts his head curiously, but Maniac continues.] MM: Tonight, we face The Health Fanatics. Two guys who would rather do a squat and enjoy a protein shake then enjoy life. They are wound so tight we will be able to run circles around them! All you need to do is stick with me kid. Watch my back, continue to point out the hotties and in the end that sexy gold will be around our Masked Bros waist. It's only a matter of time. [The Wingman is digging what the Maniac is selling. He is nodding in excitement.] MM: Just remember, Chicks dig pinfalls. That means no matter what my masked bro ... I need to get that pinfall! [The Wingman pauses to think about the logic of that, but nods in agreement.] MM: That is my loyal ami-bro! Let's get our bags put up. I am sure there are some autographs to sign and phone numbers to get. You concentrate on how we are going to knock the blocks off the Health Fanatics. I have a strict routine that I must adhere to! [The Locker room door opens and The Masked Wingman walks in with both gym bags. He turns as Masked Maniac gives his final farewell.] MM: Just remember to relax. We got this! ee you soon. [The Masked Maniac trots off as we fade.]
[We return to the broadcast team at the ringside announce table.] CHANEY: Those two are hilarious! Looking forward to seeing their debut in a little while. WATTERS: I just wonder why the one guy never talks. You can't be a wrestler and not talk! CHANEY: Don't tell Flanagan. WATTERS: Who? CHANEY: (groans) Up next folks....is a match from Group B in the Lonestar Tournament as Tripp Skylark takes on Gazi! WATTERS: One is high and the other is from England. That means both of them are difficult to understand. CHANEY: But they speak English. WATTERS: Not my kinda English! CHANEY: Oh dear! Can we just get to the ring before Larry starts insulting the entire known world? Take it away!
[As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]
[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is set for one fall and a fifteen minute time limit and is a match in the Lonestar Title Tournament! [This is great ring announcing, and everyone knows it! Just listen to thet pop.] BUFFINGTON: Introducing first, standing five foot, nine inches tall and weighing one-hundred, ninety-seven pounds... He is the one and only.... T R I P P S K Y L A R K ! ! ! [With that, the fans rise to their feet and begin to let Tripp hear their ovation for him. The noise is simply deafening, especially because Tripp doesn't even bother to have any music played for him! He just struts on out behind the curtain, sporting his street clothes, and those damn sunglasses. Quickly he makes his way down the aisle, smiling at the fans as he gives some high fives to the crowd left and right. He rolls underneath the rope, and stands up in the middle of the ring. He drifts back to his corner, getting ready for his match with a few stretches.] CHANEY: The fans are behind this pint-sized hero, Larry. WATTERS: Years ago wrestlers like him were called jumping beans. CHANEY: He isn't Mexican, Larry, and besides....that is a little racist. WATTERS: It wasn't because of their heritage, Chaney! It was because they literally jumped around the damn ring! CHANEY: But still... WATTERS: I'm not hearing any more of that crap from you. [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON: And his opponent, weighing in at a hundred and seventy-five pounds. Hailign from Stoke-on-Trent, England...here is.... G A Z I ! ! ! [A generous dance beat, almost techno in sound, begins to play as Gazu steps out from behidn the curtain to a modest amount of cheers. He walks down the ring and every so often will act like he will high five one of the male fans only to pull his hand back as if too cool to touch them. He does high five a few ladies along the way though. Gazi slides into the ring and raises his arms to salute the crowd as the techno music comes to an end.] CHANEY: There he is, Larry. Our first look at Gazi! WATTERS: He was brought in as someone most felt could use his speed to be a threat, but time will tell if it was a good investment. CHANEY: Why do you doubt? WATTERS: Because I'm a cynic by nature, Chaney. Plus you are excited by him, which means he isn't worth my trouble. [Both men step near the center as Referee Shane Staggs motions for the bell.] [DING! DING!! DING!!!] CHANEY: There's the bell and this match is under way with both men kind of stalking each other in a circle. Gazi finally lunges in and we have a tie-up at center ring. [They go back and forth, but Tripp has the surprising size advantage in this match even if Gazi's legs seem to be stronger than expected.] WATTERS: Gazi seems to just be testing out how much strength advantage Skylark has on him. Interesting feeling out process by Gazi in the early part of the match. [Gazi finally shoves Skylark back into the corner with authority and a solid pop from the crowd. Skylark smiles after the impact, obviously not affected much by it.] CHANEY: Gazi just tossed Skylark like a sack of potatoes back into the corner and Tripp seems a little stunned by the impact WATTERS: I imagine both of these guys would be surprised by plenty the way they are feeling each other out like a couple of ballroom dancers. CHANEY: Gazi fakes a tie up and lifts a knee into the mid-section of Tripp Skylark! WATTERS: Smart wrestling from the Elnglishman early on. [Gazi leans in and begins to kick his left leg into the ribcage of Skylark! Skylark back is also getting rammed into those turnbuckles with every one of those kicks.] CHANEY: Not to mention the impact on his ribs and abdomen! WATTERS: Skylark clinching his eyes as another kick connects! Gazi lifting the smaller man off the mat with each shot! [Gazi grabs the wrist and launches Skylark across the ring toward the opposite corner. Gazi charges in, but Tripp leaps to the second turnbuckle and slingshots back toward Gazi, but Gazi catches him and spins around for a nasty powerslam. CHANEY: MASSIVE POWERSLAM BY GAZI!!! Gazi looks to end this one fast with a cover! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R................................ WATTERS: SKYLARK KICKED OUT!!! CHANEY: Skylark showing some strength by not letting the quick pin happen! [Gazi pulls Skylark to his feet and clamps on a waist lock, clinching it in tight.] WATTERS: Skylark keeps letting himself get caught in bad spots. CHANEY: Gazi readies to lif......REVERSED BY TRIPP SKYLARK INTO A LOCK OF HIS OWN. BELLY-TO-BACK SUPLEX BY SKYLARK!!! [Gazi is off his feet and struggling to get back up after that counter by Skylark.] WATTERS: Skylark has solid amateur wrestling background, and I think it came into play right there. CHANEY: Skylark not letting up as he quickly rushes over and starts stomping down on Gazi. He seems to be trying to connect with his lower back. WATTERS: Nothing amatuer about that set of kicks! I like the attitude! CHANEY: The fans are split down the middle on these two and seem to be cheering every momentum switch! WATTERS: Tripp showing his ring smarts there. Perhaps he isn't high all the time! [Skylark pulls Gazi up and sets him up for a vertical suplex, but Gazi uses his foot to block the lift. Skylark tries again, but gets nowhere and Gazi uses the momentum of Tripp's attempt to his advantage and manages to lift from the other side.] CHANEY: Gazi lifts from the other side and raises Skylark into the air..BIG VERTICAL SUPLEX! WATTERS: Wow! What control! I'm impressed! CHANEY: Skylark is sitting near mid-ring as Gazi moves behind him. WATTERS: That look in his eye probably means bad intentions here. [Gazi takes a running step and plows his boot into the back of Tripp Skylark as the crowd reacts as if they were kicked.] CHANEY: OHHHHHHHH!!! Gazi kicks the wind out of Tripp Skylark! He lines up again...JUMPING NECK SNAP!!! WATTERS: Skylark's head flipped back like a rag doll! [Gazi seems to be in total control as he walks back confidently to where Tripp Skylark is holding his head. Gazi grabs Tripp by the head and throws a few kicks to his prone back. The crowd reacting with mixed emotions seeing a pair of favorites duke it out.] WATTERS: A headache will be the least of his problems if Gazi stays in control. (chuckles) CHANEY: Gazi pulls Skylark to his feet and STANDING SIDEKICK!!!! WATTERS: He almost took his head off there! CHANEY: Gazi grabs a leg and goes for another cover! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R................................KICKOUT!!! WATTERS: HOW DID HE GET OUT OF THAT?!?!?! CHANEY: Tripp Skylark barely eeked his shoulder out at the last possible second! WATTERS: This kid has alligator blood! He keeps hanging around....hanging around. CHANEY: Somebody's been watching "Rounders" lately, huh? WATTERS: It's a helluva movie! CHANEY: I can't argue with that. WATTERS: Damn straight! [Gazi starts to get to his feet as the fans are chanting the names of both wrestlers. He looks down at Skylark, who is also starting to roll over and try to stand.] CHANEY: Gazi is shaking his head as the crowd is cheering for both of them! This crowd has been awesome all night! WATTERS: Just imagine how great they'll be in a match that truly means something! CHANEY: Gazi gives Skylark the opportunity to stand and get back his bearings a little. WATTERS: Some sportsmanship from Gazi? This is NOT the smart at all! [Gazi rushes the now-standing Skylark and blast him with a spinning kick to the chest. Gazi takes measure of the stunned opponent and runs at him again, planting him with a roaring elbow.] CHANEY: ROARING ELBOW!!! Gazi is on am mission for gold and it doesn't seem like it will end until Tripp Skylark is completely beaten. WATTERS: That is what is will take because Skylark just keeps coming back no matter how badly beaten down he gets! In case you didn't figure out my sarcastic tone there, I'm saying he is an idiot. CHANEY: Yeah, we got that, Larry. [Gazi pulls Skylark up and grabs an arm to put it behind his head. Gazi has a standing armbar submission hold locked in on Skylark in ther center of the ring and the referee immediately jumps and begins asking Tripp if he submits. Tripp says no every time.] WATTERS: Gazi finally showing a little bit of a mean side. That arm may never be the same after this is over with. CHANEY: You can say that again! Skylark is near the ropes, but I'm not sure he can reach them in the state he is in right now! WATTERS: Yes! Rip that arm off! CHANEY: Gazi continues to wrench in the hold and you can see the strain on Skylark body as the mid-section seems to be red from the pulling. WATTERS: This hold will wear down Skylark in a big way CHANEY: Not to mention make it very difficult to simply kick out of a well-locked pin attempt as Tripp has done a couple of times already. [Skylark seems to be giving it all he has to reach the ropes and the referee is watchign intently to make sure nothing misses his view.] WATTERS: Yank him back! CHANEY: HE DID IT!!! Skylark got to the top rope and referee Shane Staggs is calling for the break! WATTERS: Look at the fan boy work as the fans want him too. CHANEY: Gazi lets go as the crowd cheers his sportsmanship! [Gazi walks up and lands a kick to the backof the thighs before spinning around and kicking Tripp in the stomach. He grabs Skylark and puts him into suplex position yet again. He tries to lift the slightly larger man, but Tripp seems to block it with what little size advantage he has and making himself almost dead weight for Gazi to try and lift.] CHANEY: SKYLARK IS FIGHTING OFF THE SUPLEX LIFT!!! WATTERS: Can he reverse it?!?!?! CHANEY: Skylark tries to lift once...twice...can't get him off the ground as the men jockey for control of this unique tie-up! WATTERS: This may not end well. One of these guys may get hurt badly. CHANEY: Gazi doesn't know where he is and he lifts up Skylark adjust in mid- air....OH MY GOD!!!! [Skylark goes flying over the top rope, but had grabbed Gazi's head and yanked him a little to force the side of Gazi's neck onto the top rope! Skylark lands hard on the arena floor, while Gazi flips backward into the center of the ring and kicks his feet as he holds his throat. The crowd erupts with a "Holy Shit!" moment.] WATTERS: Tripp Skylark throwing everything he can think of at Gazi to stay in this match! CHANEY: Staggs is over near that side of the ring as Skylark pulls on the guardrail and tries to pull himself back to his feet. He's starting the mandatory ten-count! [STAGGS: ONE!] WATTERS: This is good for Gazi! [STAGGS: TWO!] CHANEY: Why is that? [STAGGS: THREE!] WATTERS: If he can win without having to fully beat down Skylark, he will be more ready for larger guys like Windham Brody in future matches. [STAGGS: FOUR!] CHANEY: Are you kidding me? [STAGGS: FIVE!] WATTERS: Not at all! There is a method to the madness. [STAGGS: SIX!] CHANEY: Skylark finally stirring and moving toward the ring slowly. That is an out there thought, Larry. [STAGGS: SEVEN!] WATTERS: I try. CHANEY: He grabs the ring apron and pulls himself to his feet! [STAGGS: EIGHT!] WATTERS: Gazi is back in his feet shaking off the neck stinger. [STAGGS: NINE!] CHANEY: Skylark is lifting his leg to get in the ring..can he make it?!?!?! [Skylark slides into the ring just before the count of ten as the crowd erupts again.] WATTERS: HE BEAT THE COUNT!!! This kid needs to just stay down! CHANEY: Skylark lays in the ring as Gazi quickly rushes over. WATTERS: Uh-oh. Get up Tripp or you're dead! CHANEY: Gazi bends down to pull Skylark to his feet AND SKYLARK GRABS HIS HEAD FOR A SCHOOLBOY ROLL-UP!!!! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R................................NO!!!!!!!! WATTERS: GAZI KICKS OUT WITH AUTHORITY!!! CHANEY: Skylark caught him by surprise and it nearly got the strap around his waist! What a heads-up move by Tripp Skylark. WATTERS: You got that right. The man has ring savvy that much is for certain! [Both men are trying to get to their feet in the ring and Gazi is again first to let go ot the rope support in pulling himself to his feet. He turns to see Skylark up to a knee in the corner.] CHANEY: Gazi again allows Skylark to slowly get to his feet. WATTERS: The amount of sportsmanship has really surprised me. Of course, he might just want to have a better attack point too. (chuckles) CHANEY: Gazi waits for Skylark to turn around and here comes the boot to the mid....NO! Skylark caught the boot! WATTERS: Holy crap! I can't believe that! [Skylark tosses the leg to the side and forces Adrian into a slight spin. Skylark then drills Gazi with a superkick right to the side of his face. The impact sends Gazi into the adjacent corner. Gazi bounds out of the corner and plows a haymaker right into Skylark's head!] CHANEY: These two are laying it all on the line! WATTERS: Skylark stumbles, but returns fire with a knife-edged chop! CHANEY: These two are just throwing everythign at each other! [Gazi hits a kick to the ribs. Skylark fires a spinning fist to Gazi's head. The Englishman returns fire with another kick to the ribs, while Skylark throws another big punch that connects. Finally, Skylark dodges a kick and turns Gazi around to grab him by the wait and lists into a German Suplex.] CHANEY: SKylark finally finsihes his fun and lifts Gazi in the hold for a GERMAN SUPLEX!!! WATTERS: He is rolling through and trying for another! CHANEY: A SECOND SUPLEX!!! AND A THIRD!!! WATTERS: How is he pulling this off with his arm messed up after all those arm bars?!?! CHANEY: Never underestimate the power of adrenaline! Tripp Skylark grabs Gazi and goes for a bridging back suplex.....HE GOT IT AND HE'S BRIDGING FOR A PIN ATTEMPT!!! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R................................NOOOOOO!!!!! WATTERS: HE COULDN'T HOLD IT!!! CHANEY: Tripp Skylark just doesn't have the strength to hold that pin and it may cost him a chance at the Lonestar Title! WATTERS: Gazi had to get some wind and let Skylark look good....either that or the fans really did suck the life out of him. [Skylark is getting to a knee as Gazi rises from the canvas. Gazi is not moving as well as he did early on. Just as Skylark finally gets to his feet, Gazi grabs him by the head and sends him across the ring into the ropes. Skylark flips into the ropes and hits them in mid cartwheel, propelling himself back and he leaps, connecting with a spinning kick of his own to Gazi's head.] CHANEY: Skylark landed about as flush as he possibly could have and Gazi is really in trouble now! WATTERS: He hit that flip into the ropes so precisely, I almost think he was playing opossum throughout this match! CHANEY: This has been a great one! WATTERS: Much better than we expected, I would dare admit. [Skylark moves behind Gazi and applies an inverted facelock on the Gazi. Tripp hooks the Gazi's tights and lifts them straight up in the air so that he is upside down. Skylark then drops Gazi straight down so he lands on his head as the crowd erupts a monster pop for the finisher!] CHANEY: FALL FROM THE SKY!!!! We haven't seen that in years! WATTERS: He literally falls on top of Gazi for the pin! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R E E ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! ? ! WATTERS: HE GOT THE SHOULDER UP!!! CHANEY: NO HE DIDN'T! Shane Staggs is calling for the bell!!! WATTERS: WHAT?!?!?!?! CHANEY! Tripp Skylark has managed to get the victory over Gazi and earn his first twenty- five points toward the Lonestar Title Tournament! Wow! [As his name is announced the fans erupt as Skylark raises his arms in victory. Then he reaches down and helps Gazi to his feet and raises his arm as well, which the crowd gives a solid ovation for the sportsmanship.] CHANEY: You have to love the sportsmanship as Gazi made quite the impression out here tonight, Larry. WATTERS: The sportsmanship cost Gazi the match and could have done the same to Tripp. You have to leave that crap at the door if you want gold. CHANEY: I disagree. WATTERS: Of course you do. But unlike you, *I* know what it means to be a champion. [The screen cuts away...]
[The screen is black, but voices are heard.] ADAM WEST: [voiceover] Quick, Robin, to the SOMEONE ELSE: [voiceover] SCW interview area. [The SCW logo spins around on the screen like the Batman logo used to do in the old TV series starring Adam West. When it finally disappears, Steve Blaine is standing next to El Gringo Loco and SCW's self-proclaimed future first EVER Lonestar Champion, Pat Gordon, Junior, who has the same black duffel bag from the previous Rampage strapped over his shoulder. There is an SCW backdrop behind them.] BLAINE: Hello SCW fans. Steve Blaine here for an interview with El Gringo Loco and Pat Gordon, Junior. At the last SCW Rampage, Pat Gordon, Junior walked away from his first group round match in the Lonestar Heavyweight Championship tournament with a main event victory over Michael Wilson and twenty five points. During the match, referee Shane Staggs made some questionable calls and even turned a blind eye to your use of a steel chair. After the match, your manager, El Gringo Loco, was seen giving Shane Staggs a stack of money. The question on everyone's minds is did the Loco Wrestling Cartel pay off the referee in order to win? EGL: Let's get things straight, Steve Blaine. Anybody could see that referee Shane Staggs was having a problem with his eye. And what's more, he did un trabajo fantastico, a fantastic job, calling that match under the circumstances. Now todo el mundo sabe how bad the American healthcare system is. So I, being the world class philanthropist and humanitarian that I am, simply made sure that he had the money he needed to get his eye treated properly, much like someone might give a generous tip to a waitress or a delivery driver. You do tip your waitresses, don't you, Steve Blaine? BLAINE: Well, of course I - EGL: Well, there you have it! So you can see that there was nothing untoward going on. I was simply trying to help my fellow man. [Steve Blaine finds that explanation to be a tough one to swallow.] BLAINE: Ahem... okay. Now, Pat Gordon, Junior, tonight you aren't scheduled for tournament action. You could have taken the night off, yet you have requested a match instead. So, tonight you will be facing Flanagan. Why did you decide to request this match? PGJR: Well, Steve Blaine, there's a lot of great athletes in this tournament, from guys like Sean Darring and Caleb Foley to Freddie Sagawa and Windham Brody. Everybody in the SCW wants to be the first to be crowned the Lonestar Heavyweight Champion. Well, isn't that just peachy! But for all of the so-called 'legends' and 'greatest of all times,' there is only one Hardest Working Man in Pro-Wrestling, and you're lookin' at him. That's why I requested this match tonight, so I can keep that competitive edge. Everybody saw what I did to Michael Wilson in the main event of the last SCW Rampage, and tonight, after I finish with Flanagan, there'll be no doubting that the Oklahoma Orthodontist has this one in the bag! [Gordon taps the black duffel bag that he is carrying, and he and El Gringo Loco share a rather devious laugh. They turn to leave, but Steve Blaine calls after them.] BLAINE: Gentlemen, gentlemen! One more question if I may. El Gringo Loco, you've been seen getting a close view of some of the matches. You were spotted coming out from the locker room to watch Davey-Boy O'Brien take on 'Good' Gordon Gaines as well as Bam Markham against Big Boss Hogg. What was the purpose of that scouting, and what did you see? EGL: That's Cartel business. It's my business. Not yours. Vamos! [With that, the Boss of the Loco Wrestling Cartel and Pat Gordon, Junior make their exit.] BLAINE: Well, this has been Steve Blaine with El Gringo Loco and Pat Gordon, Junior. Back to you, Eric Chaney! [The screen starts to fade and then cuts away.]
[We cut back to the announce team at ringside.] CHANEY: Cartel business, huh? I wonder what that means. WATTERS: Doesn't matter, Chaney, if we were meant to know, the great Gringo Logo would let us know. That is his business and right now his business is doing well. He has the tag champions, Las Preguntas, and Pat Gordon Junior is the man to beat in my opinion for the Lonestar Title! CHANEY: That is high praise from you, Larry. WATTERS: And well earned! The hardest working man in wrestling deserves to be champion! CHANEY: Well don't tell that to one of the men in our next match as Caleb Foley will be in action against Steve Dann. WATTERS: The Fat Man! I love that guy! CHANEY: I figured you might. WATTERS: I just love his attitude and sense of humor. He reminds me a lot of other guys I knew from years ago. CHANEY: You think he beats Caleb Foley? WATTERS: God, I hope so! Something has to shut that failed pimp up! Dann's as good as anyone to do that! He has the size and strength over Caleb. CHANEY: He does, but Caleb has the speed, agility and craftiness just to pull out a victory tonight. WATTERS: My money is on The Fat Man as he must of put in a good word with The Fat Lady. CHANEY: Don't count out Foley as he has yet to be taste defeat here in SCW and this is the debut of Dann tonight. Let's head to Buffington for the introductions and get this next match going.
[As the camera switches to show the arena, the following graphics fills the screen.]
[The graphic leaves as "Loyal to No-One" by The Dropkick Murphy's plays over the PA as the arena goes completely silent.] #I first meet this man at the Cammen street Tracks # #In no shape for success headed nowhere to fast# #He may have been someone once by the sound of his call # #Now he answers to no one# #NO-ONE AT ALL!# [A hooded man stands at the entrance just bouncing to the beat of the music. His head is down so his face is completely covered. The man lifts up his head to reveal that it is none other Caleb Foley and the crowd has absolutely exploded now with cheers.] #We all die alone, he shouted as he passed# #With no sense of regret, see he never looked back# #Though his pride was wounded, his ego was strong# #Yea that was his Trouble and this is his Song# #You said we die alone, in this case you were right# #No friends by your side or family in sight# #There'll be no talking your way out this time# #So don't count the cash cause you leave it behind# BUFFINGTON: And his opponent from Dublin, Ireland and weighing in at two hundred- fifteen pounds. Here is... "T H E C E L T I C C R I P P L E R" C A L E B F O L E Y ! ! ! [Caleb pulls the hood off his head and reveals a new hairstyle his reddish hair completely slicked back and a full red beard with a black goatee. Caleb begins to walk down the entrance when he stops, he bends down and pounds his knuckles to the ground and his points up to the sky as a tribute to his deceased father. Foley continues to walk down to the ring as the fans are chanting his name but seems not to really be interacting with them as much as his once did. Foley is looking in the ring and he seems to mean business. Foley slides underneath the bottom rope and begins to stretch against the ropes.] CHANEY: There's the bell and we are underway with match-up. WATTERS: Caleb Foley is giving up a lot of size to his opponent Steve Dann. CHANEY: You can say that again. WATTERS: Dann is almost twice the size of Foley. [After the bell finishes ringing, both men go to the middle of the ring, chest to chest. Foley has to look up at Steve Dann to see eye to eye with him, though. As the crowd cheers, both men begin to bad mouth each other for a minute before Caleb Foley revs back with a forearm shot...] CHANEY: Foley with a forearm shot...NO! WATTERS: Steve Dann saw it and blocked it! [Dann catches Foley's hand in mid-air and begins to squeeze it as hard as he can. Foley screams out in agony while Steve Dann smiles at him as he is in the process of breaking his hand. Suddenly, Steve Dann lets go of Foley, backs up a bit, runs towards his opponent, and with all his might, nearly takes his head off with a vicious lariat. Caleb does a flip and lands face first on the mat.] WATTERS: The crowd is squarely behind Steve Dann in this one as he is already over- powering Caleb Foley here in this match. CHANEY: Give Caleb time. He is going to win you over soon enough... WATTERS: You have a better shot at winning the lottery than that happening. Foley has had numerous opportunities and should have just stayed retired. CHANEY: Caleb came back because he had something to prove to himself. WATTERS: What that he still sucks and will always choke when it matters the most. [Now in control of the match, Dann picks The Celtic Crippler up and rocks him with a stiff forearm shot to the face. With Foley stunned a bit, Steve Dann grabs him and drills him with a hard bodyslam to the mat that sends the crowd into a wave of boos. Steve Dann, though, ignores the boos of the crowd and continues his assault on Foley by punting him in the chest with a couple of stiff boots.] CHANEY: The Fat Man picks Foley up and whips him into the ropes..... WATTERS: Hey there is no need for name calling. CHANEY: It is his moniker? [Caleb bounces off the ropes and Steve connects with a huge boot to the face of Caleb. As Foley falls to the mat, he is quick to roll under the ring to score a breather. The Fat Man, though, is quick to prevent Caleb from recovering as he jumps through the ropes and heads after him. Once Dann gets Foley on the outside, he picks him up and whips him square into the ringpost...] WATTERS: OH SHI-! CHANEY: FOLEY JUST REVERSED THE WHIP INTO THE POST AND THE FAT MAN HIT HIS FACE RIGHT ON IT! [The crowd does a complete one hundred and eighty turn as Steve Dann hits the post hard and Foley falls to on knee. The crowd begins to cheer The Celtic Crippler on as he seems to have just regained control of the match. Right as Dann hits the floor, Foley goes over there to drive a couple of stiff kicks into his chest before picking him up by his hair and tossing him back into the ring.] CHANEY: Steve Dann is tossed back in the ring and Foley is waiting on the apron. What's he going to do now? WATTERS: Something flashy probably. I hope it backfires and Dann squashes him like a pancake. [As soon as Steve Dann gets up, Foley jumps on the top rope, turns himself around, springboards off, and FLIES into the air and onto Steve Dann with a beautiful moonsault body block. The Fat Man hits the mat hard and Foley is quick to get up and follow up with leg drop across the throat area of Dann.] CHANEY: Caleb seems to have a new attitude in the ring almost as if he has a mean streak in him. WATTERS: You call that a mean streak. Come on Chaney you need to get your eyes tested. [Now in control, Caleb sees Steve Dann getting up from the mat and is quick to bounce off the ropes. As soon as Dann is up, he goes right back down as Foley drills him in the back of the legs with a vicious dropkick. Foley, though, refuses to let Steve Dann breathe as he picks him right back up and slaps him right in the face...] CHANEY: Uh....I don't think that was a wise move by Caleb Foley! WATTERS: Nope maybe Caleb thought he was slapping one of his hoes around after not listening. [As Foley laughs at his show of "guts", Dann gets a look of complete rage on his face and grabs Foley squarely by the throat. With the crowd booing like crazy, Foley is picked up high into the air and Steve nearly plants him straight through the ring with a devastating chokeslam. Foley looks like he just got killed from the maneuver while The Fat Man gets on top and makes the pin attempt...] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THR.....................NO! CHANEY: And Foley kicks out at two and a half. WATTERS: I am sure that is going to hurt The Celtic Crippler tomorrow as he was just chokeslammed out of his boots! [Now back in control, Steve Dann picks The Celtic Crippler up and chops him right across the chest. As Foley screams out in pain, Steve Dann grabs him and drops him across his knee with a vicious backbreaker as the crowd continues to boo. Foley is on the mat in agony while Steve Dann looks all business at this point. Wasting no time, Dann bounces off the ropes and when he comes to Foley, Caleb is met with a huge body splash...] CHANEY: Steve Dann is dominating Foley at this point. WATTERS: Should of never slapped him he awoke the beast within. CHANEY: Dann is wasting valuable time he should of went for the pin. [As like The Fat Man could hear Chaney he finally hooks the leg of Caleb as the referee slides into position to make the count.] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THREE.....................NO! CHANEY: NO! NO! FOLEY GOT HIS FOOT ON THE ROPES! WATTERS: I swear Caleb must have more lives than a cat. [Steve Dann thinks he just won the match but the referee is trying to tell him that Foley got his foot on the ropes. Seeing this only enrages Steve Dann even more and he picks Foley up like a rag-doll. Steve Dann goes behind his dazed opponent, executes a waistlock, and gives the indication that a German suplex is in the future for Caleb Foley...] WATTERS: Let's watch and listen to the impact of this one! CHANEY: AH!! See Watters the old Caleb would have never done that to escape a hold. WATTERS: Disqualify him referee. Do your job. CHANEY: I don't believe the Ref saw it as he was out of position. [Due to obvious pain, Steve Dann releases the hold and doubles over...giving Foley an opportunity. With The Fat Man doubled over, Foley revs back, charges in, and drives a scissor kick to the back of Dann's head. The Fat Man is quick to go to the mat on a knee. Caleb realizing he needs to put him to the mat charges at Dann and connects with a knee right to the side of his face. As The Fat Man is finally down the Celtic Crippler takes a short breather on the far corner of the ring.] CHANEY: I will admit...Foley just got lucky here because he was in real danger of losing if Dann hit that German Suplex. WATTERS: If I was Steve I would protest the rest of this match as it is clearly obvious the referee is a fan of Foley. [As soon as Foley catches his breath, he goes out of the ring and climbs to the top rope. Foley waits a minute for the flash bulbs to go off before flying in the air with a beautiful 450 degree splash that hits square on Dann. Foley tries to lift up the leg of Dann but he is having trouble with the size of his leg.] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TH.....................NO! CHANEY: Steve kicks out at two and a half. WATTERS: And the Fat Man hasn't sung just yet. [After the pin attempt fails, Foley picks his opponent up, goes behind him, and sends him right back to the mat with a textbook side Russian leg-sweep. As soon as Dann goes down, Foley bounces up and dazzles the crowd as he drives a standing somersault leg-drop across The Fat Man's throat...] CHANEY: Foley with a beautiful maneuver and another pin attempt! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRE.....................NO! CHANEY: Steve Dann kicks out again but Foley isn't letting his opponent breathe one bit. He's just dishing the offense out to him until Steve Dann buckles. WATTERS: Just wait for it sooner or later Caleb will crash and burn. Only a matter of time. [Still in control of the match, Foley grabs his opponent by the hair, picks him up, and drives a forearm shot right into his face. As Steve holds his face after the shot, Foley bounces off the ropes and drives another vicious dropkick into Steve Dann, this time it is directed at Steve Dann's left knee. The Fat Man is quick to go down and hold his injured wheel and this gives Foley a perfect opportunity...] CHANEY: OH MY GOD! Steve Dann was bent over and Foley just drilled him with an atomic facebuster!! [As Steve Dann is planted in the mat, the crowd erupts as Caleb jumps up to the top ropes. Foley has to regain his balance as he almost fell off the top ropes when he was standing up. That split second gave Dann the opportunity he needed as he bounced into the ropes and Caleb landed groin first on the top turnbuckle. ] WATTERS: See I told you so Caleb got to flashy. [The crowd lets out a huge collective boo as The Fat Man decks Foley square in the face and then grabs him by his hair and throws/flips him back into the ring. Steve with a smile on his face picks up Caleb by his hair and hoist him high up in the air and, all of a sudden, he sends him flying with a huge gorilla press slam. With the crowd booing like crazy, Steve Dann picks Foley up and places him in position for a horizontal backbreaker....however...] CHANEY: WAIT A MINUTE! [Foley slips out of the hold. Steve quickly notices and catches Caleb in the jaw with an elbow. Caleb staggers into the corner and The Fat Man goes charging in like a freight train and leaps up into the air for an avalanche but at the last possible second The Celtic Crippler moves...] WATTERS: How many lives can one man have? CHANEY: Caleb is very smart in the ring he is always aware of his surroundings. [Foley like a predator stalking his prey connects with a handspring cutter to Dann as he was getting up. Caleb places an arm across the chest of Steve for the cover.] CHANEY: AIR DUBLIN FROM OUTTA NOWHERE!!! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THREE!!!!!!!! DING DING DING BUFFINGTON: The winner of this match by the result of a pinfall ... "T H E C E L T I C C R I P P L E R" C A L E B F O L E Y ! ! ! WATTERS: Steve Dann sure did have a good showing tonight his SCW debut match tonight. CHANEY: He did but Caleb was just a crafty veteran and would not say die tonight. [Caleb rolls underneath the bottom ropes and slaps high fives with the fans along the front row as he makes his way back up the ramp. A huge smile on his face as he points back to the ring and applauds his opponent, "The Fat Man" Steve Dann who is on one knee holding the back of his head.] CHANEY: This is what SCW needs a superstar who shows respect to his opponents. He doesn't lie, cheat or steal. He is a role model for kids. WATTERS: It won't put seats in the crowd tho. No one wants to see a goodie two shoes walking around on his high horse. You want a bad ass who will define authority and make their own rules. Someone like Pat Gordon Junior is a good example of who SCW should put their brand behind. [The screen cuts away...]
[The screen fills with the following screen, hyping the internet pay-per-view.]
[The picture fades away.]
[Back to the ringside announce team.] CHANEY: Coming up next, we have a rematch of sorts from the first episode of Rampage when Las Preguntas walked away from four corners tag team match with the Lonestar Tag Team Championships. WATTERS: I don't see why they have to defend the belts against the Rich Family just to appease these Texas fans. They should have to prove they can beat the champs first! CHANEY: Crusher, Las Preguntas cheated the Rich Family out of those titles. WATTERS: What are you talking about, Chaney? Las Preguntas were simply the better team. CHANEY: They won when Duda hit Freddie with a foreign object! And Freddie wasn't even the legal man in the ring. WATTERS: Boo hoo, Chaney. Cry me a river. El Gringo Loco's guys got their hands raised at the end. That's all that matters. [All of a sudden, there is a commotion as spectators spot Freddie Rich and Todd Rich emerge from nowhere. Usually, they are accompanied by Declan and Donny, the younger half of the stable, but the two elder statesmen are on their tod, pun intended, though that is hardly true with this capacity crowd firmly behind the two Texans.] BUFFINGTON: The next match is scheduled for one fall and is for the SCW Lonestar Tag Team Championship! Introducing first, from right here in Dallas, Texas! At a combined weight of 477 pounds, Freddie Rich and Todd Rich... the Rich Family! CHANEY: The Rich Family made quite the statement at the last Rampage when they interrupted Las Preguntas' championship celebration. WATTERS: Yeah, the message that they're sore losers. You're quick to judge Las Preguntas, but at the last Rampage, Freddie Rich gave poor Duda a piledriver right through their cake AND the table! CHANEY: Well, Crusher, many fans might say that Duda got his just desserts. WATTERS: Joke all you like, Chaney, but that wasn't a scheduled bout. The Rich Family had no business being out there. They weren't even invited to the party! You know, I heard EGL is suing the Rich Family for that attack. [Todd struts up the steel steps, wearing green tights reminiscent of the magnificent Mitsuharu Misawa, with a white trim. Meanwhile, Freddie's flowing blond locks are only outdone by his bright orange tights. Upstairs, he has a black leather jacket with an orange logo of 'The First' emblazoned on the back of it, which he points at upon assuming the middle of the ring, ready to do battle.] CHANEY: Well, these fans are sure looking forward to seeing the Rich Family give Las Preguntas their comeuppance here tonight. ['Como, Cuando, y Porque' by Lorenzo Antonio plays over the arena speakers, inciting boos from the fans.] BUFFINGTON: And their opponents, at an estimated combined weight of 500 libras... EGL: Lo siento! Lo siento! Perdone la interrupcion, pero... [El Gringo Loco steps into the arena pushing Duda ahead of him in a wheelchair. Duda is wearing a neckbrace. Marca is flanking them to their right. EGL parks Duda at the top of the ramp and holds up a mic.] CHANEY: Now what are they up to? EGL: Hace tres semanas, three weeks ago, Las Preguntas y yo were ruthlessly attacked by the Rich Family in what could only be described as a heinous and unsportsmanlike act, to say the least. We were simply enjoying ourselves and celebrating our Lonestar Tag Team Title victory, [he points to the championship belts, both around his waist stacked one above the other as if he had won them himself] when the Rich Family came from out of nowhere and put Duda here through a table with the Rags to Riches cradle piledriver. And they ruined a very expensive chocolate cake in the process! As a result, Duda has been injured and is unable to compete per doctor's orders, so there will be no Lonestar Tag Team Title defense tonight. Lo siento. I'm very sorry. Enjoy the rest of la programa, por favor. [Freddie Rich smacks the top rope with both hands, and Todd kicks the bottom rope. They both point toward the Cartel members and shout at them. It isn't audible without a microphone, but presumably it isn't very nice.] WATTERS: Look at the Rich Family, they're ticked! CHANEY: Wouldn't you be if you were all set for a title match against someone that cheated you out of a belt and your opponent pulled a stunt like this, Crusher? WATTERS: They have nobody to blame but themselves. They were the ones who attacked Las Preguntas. Consequences have actions, Chaney. [Marca looks raring and ready to go.] MARCA: [To EGL, barely audible over EGL's microphone.] Déjame luchar contra ellos. Puedo vencerlos a los dos! [EGL puts his hand over his mic to talk Marca down.] EGL: No, no, hablamos de esto. [To the Rich Family.] Escucha, I'm sorry you feel that way, but it's your own fault. You attacked Las Preguntas. You injured Duda. No tag team title match tonight. In addition, we are seeking compensation from the Rich Family and from SCW for this incident. See you in court! [The fans boo as El Gringo Loco wheels Duda to the locker room with Marca following reluctantly behind them. The Rich Family are left in the ring, irate and shouting obscenities in response to this announcement.] CHANEY: Whoa! A lawsuit! That's going a bit far, don't you think? WATTERS: Hey, they were the victims of an assault, Chaney, and poor Duda is injured and unable to compete. He deserves to have medical bills paid, at the very least. And SCW did create an unsafe working environment by hiring the Rich Family in the first place. CHANEY: Well maybe they should get Aflac. Then Duda could get cash to cover his bills and buy groceries and things. This is professional wrestling, Crusher. You know better than anyone that it's unsafe by its very nature! [The screen cuts to commercials.]
[As commercials begin to play, this one runs first.] [The screen fills with flashing pictures of SCW superstars such as Pat Gordon Jr, Sean Darring, Freddie Sagawa, Caleb Foley and others all wearing new T-shirts for sale via the SCW Merchandise hotline. As each one flashes up we hear the familiar deep voice over the pictures.] VOICE OVER: Wanna wear the hottest new gear from the biggest names in the SCW? [We see pictures of some of the superstars pimping their gear. Prague Drinking Team taking a big gulps from their beers as they wears their "got pivo?" shirt. That is followed immediately by Las Preguntas showing off their new shirts with the Tag Titles around their waists.] VOICE OVER: Ever wanted to dress like your favorite SCW superstar? [The pictures come faster and faster for about 3 seconds until they just explode into a black screen.] VOICE OVER: Well now you can! [The words come over the screen in white letters, they say "SCW SUPERSTORE"] VOICE OVER: Just hit the website and find the gear you are looking to grab, then call this number to get the threads of your favorite superstars of the SCW! [The screen fades to total blackness again. The numbers come over the screen in white letters. It says 1-888-SHOP-SCW.] VOICE OVER: Just call the following number, One-Eight-Eight-Eight, SHOP SCW! That is One-Eight-Eight-Eight, Seven-Four-Six, Seven-Seven-Two-Nine. You must be 18 years of age or older to place any orders. [Fade to black.]
[We return to the ringside announce table with out broadcast team ready to roll forward.] CHANEY: Looks like things just went sideways in our tag team division! WATTERS: A lawsuit is nothing to joke about. CHANEY: Had a few of those Larry? Your temper? WATTERS: Yes a few, but not because of my temper. CHANEY: Then... WATTERS: Paternity. CHANEY: Ok then! WATTERS: Only one of thsoe little suckers turned out to be mine though! CHANEY: You must be so proud. WATTERS: And nearly unscathed! CHANEY: Next up is the awaited debut of Masked Bros. Masked Maniac has become a bit of a legend in Mexico. He had strong runs in both ASLL and Viva Lucha. He even won some gold in Phoenix. WATTERS: It appears he has taken up a second job according to the Sweat master. A telemarketer and we all hate telemarketers! CHANEY: Yes, we all do. Except, I don't think that's what has been going on backstage. Either way, let's find out how the Masked Bros do when they take on the Health Fanatics. [The camera returns to the arena to scan through the raucous crowd before the following graphic appears: ]
[The match graphics vanishes from the screen to show SCW's ring announcer Aaron Buffington standing in the center of the ring, prepared to make introductions.] BUFFINGTON: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is set for one fall and has a fifteen- minute time limit! Introducing first, the team of "˜TheEngine" Damon Somner and "The Powerhouse" Greg Matthews T H E H E A L T H F A N A T I C S ! ! ! [Call on Me plays loudly, blue strobes beating in perfect harmony to the tune. In matching red frat-like jackets from Washington State University, Damon Somner performs several star jumps while Greg Matthews completes the Farmer's Walk, carrying two black cast-iron kettlebells, weighing 20 kilos each. Damon arrives at ringside, rattling off another rapid trio of star jumps before taking a run and a jump onto the apron. The more methodical Matthews takes a wee while to join him, electing to take to the stairs. Now inside, together again, Matthews shows off his muscles as Somner stoops in front, setting off a flurry of fireworks in the process.] CHANEY: Quite the entrance by the Health Fanatics. WATTERS: You have to admit, these guys are jacked, Chaney. CHANEY: This is true. It makes me want to drink some Advocare Spark! [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON: And their opponents. From the great unknown ... The team of Masked Maniac and The Masked Wingman. M A S K E D B R O S ! ! ! [Masked Bros before Hoes by Droner (https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnWA9yNWXGI&feature= youtu.be&fbclid=IwAR0k4tf2KRD0r6KZT6SiMoaLI6WQflJkxUyc4jxTxpuNYNogJai9LRVOqIc ) rocks the PA system. First to appear from the curtains is the Masked Maniac. He pops out with his arms extended getting a pop from the rabid Texan fans. It's only a matter of seconds before he is joined by the bigger masked man and his pupil, The Masked Wingman. The fun fan favorite masked men start to trot down the aisle way slapping the hands of the fans. Maniac blows a kiss at a gorgeous looking lady ringside as she blushes and smiles. Finally, the antics of the two masked men start to die down as they make it ringside and slide in. The Masked Wingman stands between their opponents and Maniac ensuring his mentor is safe. The Masked Maniac plays the fans one final time climbing the turnbuckles and giving all the ladies in the SCW arena a Maniac pelvic thrust.] WATTERS: What is wrong with this maniac? He must think he is god's gift to women, but we can't even see his face. I bet he looks like Sloth from the goonies. CHANEY: We will never know. As far as I know, nobody has seen the the face of the Masked Maniac. WATTERS: Even more creepy. [All four men stand in the ring as the referee explains the rules. We get some nods as the two teams return to their respected corners. Maniac starts things off and so does Somner. Both Matthews and The Masked Wingman step to the outside ring aprons as we hear the sound of the bell.] [DING, DING, DING ] CHANEY: There is the sound of the bell and we have ourselves a match. WATTERS: I hope Somner knocks the mask right of Maniac's head so we can get a picture of the freak show. [Somner and Maniac begin to circle one another. After a few circles around an elbow- collar tie-up. Masked Maniac is the first to strike and he has Somner in an armbar.] CHANEY: Maniac looks proud of himself. He is pointing to Somner who looks to be in a disadvantage with that armbar... BUT, not for long as Somner positions himself and flips out of it and Maniac turns and is taken down with an arm drag takedown. WATTERS: That's what happens when you get overconfident. The Masked Moron is taken down by a man in great shape. [Somner now chirping as Maniac begins to slowly get up and position himself. The fans are quickly behind the fan-favorite chanting - MANIAC !!! MANIAC !!! MANIAC !!!] CHANEY: The fans have always loved Masked Maniac. WATTERS: He is the lovable loser. [Maniac goes for his own flip, but it goes pretty much nowhere and Somner hangs on laughing, but Maniac positions himself with his other arm and scoops under and rolls an unexpecting Somner up!] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRE......................................KICKOUT!!! CHANEY: WOW, This thing was almost over before we blinked. WATTERS: Maniac suckered him in with the puppy dog affect. [Both men just up and Somner runs right into a clothesline by Masked Maniac. The Masked man then mocks the Health freak with a series of standing jumping jacks that the fans love.] CHANEY: Masked Maniac is all about a good time, Larry. WATTERS: He better watch out. The Health Fanatics are in amazing shape and they don't enjoy the mockery. [Somner reaches over in his corner and tags the bigger man in - "The Powerhouse" Greg Matthews. Matthews steps over the ropes looking right at Maniac who does not miss a beat and continues the mockery and drops down and does a few push-ups then quickly rolls over and does some rapid-fire sit-ups. The fans continue to eat up Masked Maniac's silly mockery as "The Powerhouse" Greg Matthews now in the ring glares down at the masked man.] CHANEY: Maniac continues to mock the Health Fanatics. Greg Matthews does not look amused. WATTERS: Of course he doesn't. Would you want some masked clown making fun of your lifestyle? The fans need to show these two respect and admiration for the healthy lifestyle they live. [The Masked Maniac hops right back to his feet and charges forward and goes for a big Maniac shoulder, but Matthews brushes him right off like a gnat.] WATTERS: Maniac is learning what kind of shape The Powerhouse is in! CHANEY: Maniac is winding up ... He is getting some extra momentum! Here is goes again! [... and right into a brick wall falling down on the mat.] CHANEY: That let the air out of the fans as the groan with Maniac who lays on the mat in pain. WATTERS: Matthews was like a brick wall and Masked Maniac charged right into him. [Matthews pulls Masked Maniac up by the mask and just drives down a big right forearm bending the masked man over. Matthews then grabs him with a gutwrench and he twists and drives him down with a gut-wrench slam.] "___THUD___" CHANEY: Big slam by Gary Matthews. He looks right at the Masked Wingman and points down at his idol. Matthews then starts putting the boots to the masked man. WATTERS: He is sending a messaged to the Masked Wingman. Matthews is telling the other masked clown he is the big man on campus tonight. [Wingman is chomping at the bits to get inside the ring, but he holds his composure. Matthews pulls the masked man back to his feet and lifts him up high for a big powerbomb and drives him down merciless to the mat.] "___KAATHUUUUD___" ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRE......................................KICKOUT!!! CHANEY: MANIAC JUST GETS A SHOULDER UP! WATTERS: That was close. He folded the Masked Maniac in HALF. [Matthews smirks at the Masked Wingman again, but turns and tags his partner back in. "˜The Engine" Damon Somner hops back in the ring and hits the ropes across from his partner. Matthews lifts Maniac up and drives him down with a body slam as Somner hits the ropes and follows up with a legdrop.] CHANEY: Double team moves and Somner hooks a leg! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRE......................................KICKOUT!!! CHANEY: No! Another close call. The Masked Maniac must have nine lives because he is hanging on! WATTERS: To stupid to quit. [Somner shakes his head as he pulls the Masked Maniac up. He backs up and SLAPS him across the masked cheek.] "___THWWWAAAAPPP___" CHANEY: That woke the Masked Maniac up! He clinches his fist and riffles off a series of jabs. Somner stumbles back surprised. [Maniac then goes into his famous pelvis thrust and drops Somner with a big right hand. He then turns and rolls forward and tags in his partner and pupil, The Masked Wingman.] CHANEY: THE BIG MAN IS IN! WATTERS: Let's see what Masked Clown number 2 has. [... The Big man is in and on fire. Somner is back on his feet and not for long as Wingman takes him down with a diving headbutt. Somner does a 360 flip and somehow finds his way back on his own feet, but dazed and confused, but is taken down by a leaping sidekick by the big man.] "___SMAAACCKK___" CHANEY: The Masked Wingman can move for a big man! Wingman pulls Somner up... Double underhook ... SUPLEX! He drops down for the cover! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRE......................................MATTHEWS BREAKS THE PIN UP! CHANEY: Close call, but Matthews is in there to break up the pin. WATTERS: Heads up move by his partner right there. [Masked Maniac is hopping around on the outside asking for the tag. Wingman pulls Somner with him and makes the tag.] WATTERS: I don't know about that decision. CHANEY: You can see the respect the Masked Wingman has for Maniac. WATTERS: Why? [Masked Maniac springboards off the ropes and a _sloppy_ huricanrana.] CHANEY: ... a huricarana I guess. WATTERS: If you can call it that. [Somner is back up, and a BIG MANIAC headbutt .... that drops _both_ men.] CHANEY: Maniac using his head, but paying for it himself! WATTERS: I don't know if I should say good job or laugh. [Maniac stirring first and rolls over and lays an arm over Somner for the cover.] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRE......................................KICKOUT!! CHANEY: Another kick out. Maniac thought he had it. He rolls over and starts doing more sit-ups. WATTERS: Here we go again. [While the Masked Maniac is doing sit-ups Somner makes his way to his corner and makes the tag to Matthews.] CHANEY: That was an interesting strategy. WATTERS: He is obviously not the smartest guy in the locker room. [Maniac gives Matthews a quick standing kick, but Matthews no-sells it and glares right back at the masked man.] WATTERS: Now the goofball has done it! CHANEY: Maniac quickly dives towards his corner and tags his pupil in. WATTERS: He should change his name to the Masked Coward, Chaney. I don't think the ladies dig cowards. CHANEY: There are ladies out there for us all, Larry. Wingman is back in and the two powerhouses are standing nose to nose. Matthews is giving a mouthful to The Masked Wingman who barely even blinks. WATTERS: Is the Wingman a mute? How can a good wingman be mute? We have yet to hear him talk. CHANEY: Maybe he saves it all for the ladies? [Matthews _shoves_ Wingman who stumbles a few steps back. This gets a Oooooh from the crowd and Maniac seems to root his big partner on. FIST START FLYING FROM BOTH MEN !!!!] [BIG MAN BATTLE POP!] CHANEY: This match has been boiling over until this! Matthews and Wingman is just drilling one another with hard punches. WATTERS: It looks like Matthews is starting to win it over. [... Wingman backs off the ropes but uses his athletic big man ability to leap off the ropes with a bit short-arm clothesline taking Matthews down!] "___THUUUD___" CHANEY: Wingman has athletic prowess too! WATTERS: Well, we know where the skills lay with this team. [Wingman pulls Matthews up and picks him up with a gut wrench. The Masked Wingman then drops him viciously onto his knee with a gut wrench backbreaker.] "___CRRAAACCKK___" CHANEY: A vicious backbreaker by the Masked Wingman. Here comes Somner! WATTERS: Now he has done it. [Somner charges in ignoring the referee and nails the Masked Wingman with a right. However, Wingman grabs him with his big right gauntlet. He lifts him up and drives him down with a chokeslam!] "___KAAAATHUUUUUUD___" CHANEY: Big Chokeslam by the Masked Wingman! He points down to Somner and Standing backflip on top of Somner! What air time from the big man! WATTERS: Matthews is getting up and he is the legal man and he drives a boot down to the side of the masked head. Take that you filthy animal. [.. As Matthews is driving fist down on the kneeled Masked Wingman. The fans start to stir as Tony Sweat, one half of Sweaty Bling begins walking down the aisle way at a fast pace. Of course sweat is a slinging everywhere on the fans and basically, anything that is near.] CHANEY: Tony Sweat is all fired up! TS: "Why are you guys still here? I told security to chase you scammers out and now you're trying to take MY job too?!" [Tony Sweat is now near ringside and he is right by Chaney and Walters. As Tony is mouthing off, he's waving his arms around Showers of sweat are hitting fans in the front row. Masked Maniac looks on confused as Sweat starts to drench the masked man on the side of ring apron looking down confused.] CHANEY: Ummm... Things are getting a little wet around these parts. WATTERS: Awww damn man, now I am going to need a shower after this match. CHANEY: It's getting in your coffee, Larry. WATTERS: SON OF A... God damn son, this ain't your sissy Starbucks coffee you are ruining. Back away from the booth! [... Finally ignoring the action in the ring which hasn't been going that well for the Wingman. Masked Maniac hops down to confront the sweat monster. He holds his hands extended trying to figure out why Tony Sweat is so upset. However, out of nowhere, The Pirate of Bling hops the guard rail and past the grossed out fans in the front row and clobbers the masked ladies man from behind.] "___KAATHHUUUUDD___" [GASP!!] CHANEY: The other half of Sweaty Bling is here and now they are working over Masked Maniac on the outside! WATTERS: Serves him right. He has been strutting around like the cock of the walk the past few shows and it's finally caught up with him. [Sweaty Bling pick Masked Maniac up and drop him face-first into the guard rail sending an echoing clang throughout the arena.] "___CLAAAAAANNNNNGGGGG___" CHANEY: Goodness! I felt our table shake! WATTERS: The message, You are not welcome here has been sent to Masked Maniac. [...Meanwhile in the ring. Masked Wingman had ducked a clothesline and taken both Health Fitness members down. He heard the ruckus on the outside and has turned and rolled out of the ring chasing both Sweaty Bling up the aisle way.] CHANEY: The Masked Wingman is coming to his mentor, Masked Maniac's aid! WATTERS: What about the match in the ring? CHANEY: He is leaving referee Shane Staggs no choice but to count him out. WATTERS: I don't think Masked Wingman cares. Did you see the fire in his footsteps as he high tailed it after Sweaty Bling? I am shocked he didn't slip on all that sweat on the ground. CHANEY: How's that coffee tasting, Larry? WATTERS: Not funny. [DING, DING, DING] [Shane Staggs waves the match off declaring the Health Fanatics the victors by count-out. Both "˜The Engine" Damon Somner and "The Powerhouse" Greg Matthews are on their feet now and they raise their hands as Aaron Buffington announces the winners.] BUFFINGTON: The winners by count-out, "˜The Engine" Damon Somner and "The Powerhouse" Greg Matthews. The Health Fanatics!!! CHANEY: Officials are on the outside checking on The Masked Maniac. Sweaty Bling did a number on him when they dropped him on that guard rail. Their debut didn't go as planned thanks to Sweaty Bling. WATTERS: No, it didn't go well for any of us. Now, I have to go get a new cup of coffee.
[The camera cut from ringside and to the back stage area of The Phoenix. Standing in the foreground of a gray block cement wall was Steve Blaine, with microphone in hand. Giving a nod to the camera, Blaine proceeded...] BLAINE: "Good evening, fans and followers of SCW, as you know I am Steve Blaine and I am back stage here at the Phoenix, the SCW arena with none other than the leader of the Heel Nation... Michael Wilson... " [Into the view of the camera stepped Michael Wilson. Wilson's lightly grown out, shape up beard moved side to side as he chewed slowly on a piece of gum as he raised a brow at Blaine. Wilson stood on camera wearing the custom HEEL NATION tee-shirt, that was made ever so famous and a pair of blue jeans. Wilson's dirty blonde hair was wet and dripped onto his broad shoulders, soaking his tee-shirt...] BLAINE: "Welcome Michael, a lot of people are wondering what is going on through your head this week, as you have been relatively and uncommonly quiet after your loss last week to Pat Gord---" [Blaine was quickly interrupted by Wilson, who began to shake his head side to side, before showing off a brief snicker, which quickly changed to a slight scowl. Wilson parted his lips and spoke for the first time since last Rampage.] WILSON: "Loss? Did you say loss? No, no... " [Wilson continued to shake his head, and brought both his hands up and waving them side to side slowly and slightly.] WILSON: "No, David, absolutely not. What happened at the last Rampage, was an absolute mockery and sheer disrespect for actual talent here in SCW. That, ...hah ...THAT, DAVID ... Was not a loss. THAT, David ...was a robbery. Pat Gordon should've been arrested for robbery. That Mexican that he totes around with him? Loco Gringo, Dos Equis, Four Lokos, whatever the hell his name is, he should be arrested for robbery! NAY! He should be DEPORTED for being an accomplice to robbery! And that other shit for brains, that dirt merchant referee ...What's his face, David?" [Blaine stood, shaking his head before replying.] BLAINE: "The referee's name is Shane Staggs. And by the way, my name is Ste---" [Wilson cut Blaine off abruptly, and continued.] WILSON: "My name? My name is? I don't give a damn if you're the real Slim Shady. David, this isn't about you in the slightest. Just stand here, hold the microphone to MY lips and let ALL THESE PEOPLE HEAR THE TRUTH! Damn it, David!" [Wilson shook his head, chewing his gum at a faster pace. His mood growing more intense.] WILSON: "As for that moron, Shane Staggs ...What he did at Rampage? He should be arrested as well, for robbing not ONLY ME, David, Shane Staggs ROBBED every single person out there watching SCW! Not only did I get robbed when I had Gordon, dead to rights for the three count, but then that coward and the Mexican were allowed by Staggs to rob me of victory again with an ILLEGAL Chair shot! What's your take on that, David?! You tell me, what kind of mood you would be in tonight!" [Wilson shook his head angrily, as Blaine lifted his hands up in an 'I don't know' manner, and replied.] BLAINE: "I mean, Michael, from watching Rampage, it seemed like Official Staggs got something in his eye?" [Wilson mocked Blaine's 'I don't know' shrug of the shoulders and hand gesture. Wilson mocked it several times, while he replied.] WILSON: "What's this?" [Wilson once again performed the 'I don't know' shrug of the shoulders and hand gesture.] WILSON: "WHAT IS THIS?" [Wilson performed the gesture once more, and spoke in a whiny voice, mocking Blaine.] WILSON: "I donnnn't knowww. I donnnn't knowww." [Wilson shook his head and looked to Blaine with his icy blue orbs, seemingly irritated while performing the 'I don't know' shrug of the shoulders and hand gesture once more.] WILSON: "What is this?! What are you doing? This isn't time for one of your magic tricks, David, damn it, man!" [Wilson shook his head again, trying to regain composure.] WILSON: "David, the ONLY thing OFFICIAL about Shane Staggs is that he is nothing more than an OFFICIAL, IDIOT. Staggs, Gordon, Gringo ...they were all in cahoots. That's all it was, nothing but cahoots. The level of disrespect that SCW management allowed to happen at Rampage, will not go unchecked. Remember who I am, I play this game all by myself. I call my own shots. I'm not going to just sit back and be robbed of my rightful opportunity to become the first SCW Lonestar Champion. Not last Rampage, not this Rampage, not next Rampage. Do you understand what I'm telling you David? Do you?" [Wilson looked at Blaine with a quirked brow, while Blaine gave a nod and responded.] BLAINE: "I get what you're saying here, Michael. But putting Gordon aside, you do have a match with the Scottish Terrier, Davey O'Brien tonight who is coming off of a solid victory at the last Rampage.. You have not said much about him, are you looking past him this evening?" [Wilson snickered and let out a condescending laugh, chewing his gum and shaking his head before replying to Blaine.] WILSON: "David ... David ... David. You have no idea, my friend. I look past no one. My resume speaks astoundingly for itself. The amount of rage that's brewing inside of me from being cheated and robbed, is going to spill over tonight, while scolding and drowning Davey O'Brien. I don't need to talk about O'Brien. I don't need to mention O'Brien. I don't need to consume myself with O'Brien. What I do tonight? Tonight I take the Scottish Terrier to the death shelter, and I put him down. My stamp on SCW will be made tonight. My mark will be made. The droves of people who know Michael Wilson and who have come to see the Michael Wilson show, who have heard the legendary tales, will see the old Michael Wilson unleashed. You see, David... " [Wilson took a breath and tilted his head back slightly, chewing his gum with a Cheshire Cat-like grin forming briefly across his majestic face before continuing.] WILSON: "My viciousness. My determination. My iron fist. My dedication. My wickedness. My prowess. My excellence. My unmatched truth. My willingness to do and say what EVERY single person in this industry is afraid too. My willingness to do whatever it takes to grab and TAKE what I want. What I DESERVE." [Wilson paused and looked down at Blaine, with those icy blue orbs, almost piercing.] WILSON: "MY ... GREATNESS. Will be unleashed. The Nation knows all too well, David, my followers know all too well what my capabilities are. They know who to follow, they know who will lead, they know who to trust. David, EVERYONE will quickly learn to do the same and live by THOSE FOUR TRUTHFUL WORDS...." [Wilson spit his gum onto the concrete floor of the Phoenix before turning his back to the camera and giving an 'RVD-pose' with both arms curling down to two stuck out thumbs, pointing to the back of his shirt as Heel Nation, and Michael Wilson fans inside the Phoenix let out a roar in unison...] CROWD: "IN! HEEL!! WE!!! TRUST!!!!" [Wilson walked out of scene, as Blaine stood alone. Blaine looked to the camera with a quirked brow.] BLAINE: "Well, you heard it from the horse's mouth. Apparently Michael Wilson is on a mission here tonight at Rampage. Back to you guyyy ---JESUS!!!" [Blaine was knocked to the side as into the camera scene came Shane Staggs flying and slamming violently against the concrete wall! Wilson then reappeared into the scene, looking down at the crumpled Staggs.] WILSON: "GET UP! GET UP, YOU SCAB!" [Wilson reached down grasping Shane Staggs by the SCW Referee shirt and hoisting Staggs. Wilson screamed angrily in Staggs' face as Blaine yelled for security.] WILSON: "YOU THINK THIS IS A GAME, SHANE!?! YOU'RE RIGHT, I DO SEE SOMETHING IN YOUR EYE!" [Wilson pulled back his right hand, clenching it tightly and drove it into the eye of Staggs with a walloping striking punch! Wilson then grasped Staggs' shirt with both hands again and wildly flung Staggs' body against the concrete wall with a vicious thud! Staggs once more fell to the concrete floor in a heap as security finally arrived, pushing Wilson back out of scene. Wilson's voice could be heard in the back ground, yelling as Blaine was on camera, kneeling down next to Staggs with the medical staff, waving at the camera.] WILSON: "NOONE IS GOING TO SCREW ME OVER! NOONE IS GOING TO CHEAT ME! I WON'T BE SILENCED! I AM THE BEST EVER!!! FOLLOW MY LEAD!!!" [Wilson's voice wavered then disappeared in the distance as Blaine continued to wave at the camera.] BLAINE: "Cut it ...back to the ring! Come on!" [The scene cut...]
[We are back to ringside where Chaney and Watters sit in shock.] CHANEY: I didn't think that was allowed in SCW, Larry. WATTERS: It's not. I mean nobody should be doing anything to a referee like that in the ring, much less in the back. CHANEY: Looks like Michael Wilson is more than motivated than we have seen him and that could cost him. WATTERS: Yeah, you have to wonder if he will pay a true price for that. It could cost him more than money. CHANEY: Indeed it could. Fans, allow me to shift gears as we have some interesting news for those in the El Paso area! WATTERS: Well this will be great to hear! CHANEY: Yes we are going to be having a super show in that city on Labor Day. WATTERS: Labor Day? CHANEY: Yes Monday, September second! It will have every member of the SCW roster in attendance and in action! This is a special house show just to welcome the city of El Paso into the SCW family of affiliates. WATTERS: That is something special for sure. CHANEY: Once more, I have also heard that the proceeds from this event will allow us to get the giant screen for the Phoenix Arena! WATTERS: A screen would be great! CHANEY: Please be watching the SCW twitter, @Official_SCW and you will find out more as the information unfolds! WATTERS: Looks like SCW is really making the move to grow! CHANEY: It sure is and next on that growth spurt is our next match between Alfie Button and El Principe! WATTERS: Group A tournament action! CHANEY: Yes it is, Larry! And the winner moves up to tie Caleb Foley for the lead in Group A! WATTERS: I'm rooting for the prince! I like his style. I can't understand a damn word he says, but I like his style anyway! CHANEY: Well get ready because it is time to head to the ring for this tourney action!
Introducing first, hailing from London, England, and weighing in at two hundred and four pounds. Here is... A L F I E B U T T O N ! ! ! [Gala's 'Freed from Desire' gave the SCW spectators an opportunity to stand up, have a dance and enjoy the charismatic cockney's entrance. Alfie Button, wearing a purple jacket to his kneecaps, and tights capturing various shades of turquoise, yellow, pink and red looks like a cross between Elton John, Randy Savage and Rod Stewart, especially with his mane and jet black hair flowing. Alfie asks for the music to be cut just as he's approaching ringside and he takes off his jacket and sprints into the squared circle, raising his arms to the crowd and getting an ovation. Then he stands in the ring awaiting his opponent.] CHANEY: Alfie Button continues to excite the crowd! WATTERS: Yeah, he's good at playing to the sheep. CHANEY: You really have a distaste for him, don't you? WATTERS: Chaney, if he was on fire I would actually try to put him out. CHANEY: Really? WATTERS: Yeah, but pissing on him. (laughter) [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON: And his opponenthailing from Mexico City, Mexico and weighing in at two hundred-thirty pounds. He is considered wrestling royalty from south of the border. Here is... E L P R I N C I P E' ! ! ! ["Los Consejos de un Padre" by Gerdo begins to play and the arena begins to boo because, let's face it, Gerado sucks. Finally el Prinicpe' steps out from behind the curtain and holds his arms out expecting jubilation, but gets none. He may have been reaping what he had sowed for several years, relying on his father's reputation and underhand tactics to attain many a title and fans in Texas would know such things. He walks down the aisle and seems to be yelling at the crowd in Spanish as he gets near ringside.] CHANEY: Principe may be the strongest guy not to get a win yet, Larry. WATTERS: Everyone is underestimating the prince, but you just watch because he will rise to the top. CHANEY: You think so? WATTERS: I know so! [Button jumps down blindly, which is incredibly inexperienced and foolish at this level, and the moment he lands, Principe, a natural technician, takes him down with a chop block before the bell tolls to mark this group stage encounter underway.] WATTERS: He deserves that, Chaney. CHANEY: Yes and no. WATTERS: Come on... CHANEY: His lack of awareness, yes, but Principe still jumped the gun and the referee hasn't punished him, yet here Principe is, on the assault, having kicked Button 4 times. WATTERS: Principe bends the rules without breaking them and has my support because he doesn't pander to these fans and that's why he's a winner. CHANEY: Not that you'd know it here. Has he won a match yet? Watter: He'll beat Alfie. You'll see. Come on, Principe! [Principe peppers the English import with four boots to the chest before standing his man up.] WATTERS: How does it go, Chaney? CHANEY: I pity tha fool. WATTERS: I PITY THA FOOL! I PITY THA FOOL! [Principe uses Alfie's patented European uppercut against him not once, nor twice, not even thrice or four times, but FIVE times. No Booker T jokes, please.] CHANEY: Whip to the opposite corner and Principe catches Alfie coming out with a basic but assertive reverse elbow. One, one and a half for his troubles. A body slam sets up a kneedrop and another cover - same result. [A back rake keeps the cockney in place and pedestrian, frustrating for such a speedy and lively competitor.] WATTERS: Sound strategy by Principe. This man has come to play tonight! [Just as Principe is about to dump Button out of the ring, Alfie reverses it and chucks Principe out instead, which would've been an excellent counter if this had been a battle royal.] CHANEY: Suicide dive into a tornado DDT! He calls that Jumping The Shark. WATTERS: It's a what and he calls it who? BUTTON: Eric, may I? CHANEY: Sure. [Button stands up on the commentary desk, eliciting cheers, as he looks down at Larry.] BUTTON: No respect last week eivver, and 'ere we are, I could 'ear ya I Pity Tha Fools from there, ya not sayin' them now, are ya? Mug! [Alfie tosses the headset back to Eric and jumps down onto Principe, who once again punishes Button by catching him and ramming the speedster's spine into the commentary desk.] WATTERS: I pity YOU, Alfie. Go on, Prince. YEAH! [The 'yeah' remark was greeted by a high-five from the 2nd generation grappler from just across the border. Principe rolls Button back in the ring, but Alfie runs towards the other ropes, ducking undeneath the Mexican's stray clothesline attempt. Presumably, Alfie is going to run back from the other set of ropes. He isn't, you know. He's primed and waiting for Principe, having slammed the brakes on. Take it away, Eric.] CHANEY: Superkick! WATTERS: That knocked him right back into the ropes and set up that stupid move again. BUTTON: I PITY THA FOOL! I PITY THA FOOL! [Two European uppercuts gave the Englishman the initiative over the Mexican and again, he spams the SUPERKICK!] WATTERS: Does this guy know more than two moves? Uppercut, superkick, uppercut, superkick... CHANEY: He's doing whatever it takes to win. WATTERS: You're not funny, Chaney. Foot on the rope by Principe! CHANEY: The nearest fall we've had so far and now Alfie's arguing with the official, which... WATTERS: He's taking his eye off the prize once again. CHANEY: I agree, Larry. He isn't learning from his mistakes. Anyway, the conversation now seems to be over. Third superki--- WATTERS: Caught! HA! CHANEY: Dragon screw leg whip by the Mexican prince and that's a move, like the opening chop block, which could change the complexion of the contest in an instant. WATTERS: Hang in! Second dragon screw. That's just brutal. CHANEY: It is. And brilliant. WATTERS: He's gonna do it tonight, Chaney. I told you. CHANEY: Single Leg Lion Tamer! But, Button refuses to turn over and instead turns it into a hurricanrana! [The double down reaches five.] CHANEY: A punch by Principe is returned with interest by Alfie Button. WATTERS: Slugfest, two each and Principe does the right thing by kicking Alfie's left leg, make that two and a bodyslam to boot! Principe lulled Alfie into that trap and just when Alfie thought he had the answers, the prince changed the questions. CHANEY: But, Principe has made a mistake, missing with the elbow, and that is Alfie Button's game! Standing shooting star press - knees up! WATTERS: Don't write good wrestlers off. Alfie is quicker, I'll give you that, but in body and not in mind and that's the key to Principe's kingdom. CHANEY: Wait a minute! One belly-to-belly, and he's not content with that. Two and now...TRICOLOR!! WATTERS: Cover him! CHANEY: Despite my colleague's sound advice, Principe has ignored him in pursuit of the ropes where I believe he's going to punish Button's legs a bit more. Yes, there it is, a seated senton and a second in quick succession. [It seems Eric has spoken too soon as Button nips the third attempt in the bud by using the sole of his boot to shove Principe, by the ass, up and over the top rope and down onto the apron floor before climbing to his feet.] CHANEY: This is a risk, but Alfie's not only up on his feet, but running towards Principe with intent...baseball slide. Button now SLIDES under the bottom rope and is on the apron. Oh, I know what he's going for here... WATTERS: Dammit, another European uppercut! CHANEY: And funnily enough, Larry, Dammit is also the name of that variation. WATTERS: Seriously? CHANEY: Seriously! [Alfie rolls his opponent back in, but El Principe meets him from the inside, sticking his head out of the ring and into Button's abdomen as the Englishman was positioned on the apron once again.] CHANEY: Suplex attempt back in... WATTERS: Got him, no, wait...where is he? CHANEY: Behind you, Principe! Roll-up out of nowhere by Button! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THR................KICKOUT!!! WATTERS: Principe's kickout was so assertive that Alfie has gone back through the ropes and is on the apron again! CHANEY: Not for long. This time, Alfie headbutts Principe first and has just slid through his slower opponent's legs and ANOTHER roll-up! One...two...close. No strong kickout there. In fact, Alfie grabs Principe and whips him to the ropes....flying forearm! WATTERS: And a hip toss too! This isn't good for El Principe, who's back up again... CHANEY: SUPERKICK!!! Alfie isn't looking for a cover. He's waiting for Principe to recover. The Mexican tries to get to his feet....THE RED BUTTON!!! [Could the Flying chuck kick/Superkick combination give Alfie the maximum 40-point return? UNO....DOS....TRE-Y AGAIN!!!] CHANEY: Alfie, albeit with a slight limp, is about to go for it all. He's just jumped to the outside and you know he's looking for SEASON FINALE...NO! WATTERS: Northern lights suplex to counter it! Genius! CHANEY: It is...but not, 3! CHANEY: Principe is about to....MATCH OF THE DAY! Where did that overhead kick come from? WATTERS: Instinct! It has to be. CHANEY: The inveitable has been delayed. Button with a take two and action ...SEASON FINALE!!! [The sublime 720 DDT CONNECTS and the outcome is academic.] WATTERS: I Cannot believe this! CHANEY: Here is the cover with a hooked leg! WATTERS: DAMMIT!!! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THHHHRRREEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHANEY: ALFIE BUTTON WITH THE VICTORY!!! WATTERS: I can't believe that guy won again! AGAIN! CHANEY: What a way to start off Rampage, Larry! WATTERS: Yeah, I'm thrilled. [Button has his arm raised and the fans give him a great ovation.] CHANEY: Button gets his first twenty-five points in the Lonestar Tournament and he and Caleb Foley are now tied for the Group A lead! WATTERS: This group makes me sick. CHANEY: Why Larry? WATTERS: I shouldn't have to say this, but Principe is the best guy in the group and tonight's disappointment means Button has a leg up to advance. [The screen cuts away...]
[Camera finds itself on a black tailor-made suit. One that speaks of class and respect. As the camera backs away we get the full figure of the salt-and-peppered legend himself, Sean Darring. The legend and icon stand calm and collected as he prepares himself for the main event later in the evening. His trademark gold tie sits proudly complimenting the suit and speaking to the standard of excellence that Darring has lived.] LSD: Let me start off by saying, it's been great to be back in Texas and is in a state that bleeds and respects the legacy of our great sport. Wrestling tradition runs deep in Texas. Respect for this great sport shows. It was a big reason why I decided to return to the ring for one final run. [The Legend gives thanks.] LSD: At Rampage, it was great to get back in the ring. I misjudged how much ring rust I would have to shake off, but in the end, a hand raised is a hand raised. El Principle you fought hard. You opened the bag of tricks. I have to applaud your efforts. I always give credit where credit is due. You were a worthy opponent. [The Legend offers a small sign of respect.] LSD: However, that was yesterday. In this business, you have to have a short memory. Control the things you can control. Rampage brings a new challenge. The SCW arena will be hopping as the group stages continue hot and heavy as we are underway to crown a Lonestar Champion. [Darring grins.] LSD: It's time to give complete focus to the Lonestar Championship. My legacy is cemented as my days are numbered, but giving back to this great industry and all these amazing fans are what drives my motivation. It's been awesome. Everywhere I have been the past few weeks around Dallas I have been stopped and asked about being in the so-called group of death. [Darring shrugs.] LSD: My response is easy. To be the champion you have to overcome the challengers. So if this is the group of death let's get the top challengers out of the way first. In the end, you either sink or swim. If Pat Gordon Jr, Michael Wilson, and Bam Markham are the men to beat. Then let's find out who the man is! [The Legend nods.] LSD: Speaking of "The Big Bad Bull from Boulder" Bam Markham ... It appears our time has come. At 6'5 and 286 pounds, you are obviously big. You come from a legendary family and I can respect that. However, it's time to find out how bad you really are. I've fought a lot of tough men. I've wrestled and stretched a lot of men who claimed to be big and bad. In the end, it's quite simple - Big limbs stretch the same. [A famous Darring smirk.] LSD: When that bell rings. Size can help you or hurt you. The most important asset is between the ears. There is a whole locker room full of youngbloods just waiting to take out my resume. It's been the same dance for the past ten years or more. I understand the game. Hell, Bam, I _invented_ the game. Opportunities like this are what careers are made of. So tonight let's start this group of death off right. It's time to set the standard and let the rest of the locker room see where the bar sits. If you are anything like your grandfather then I expect a hell of a match. [The Legend holds up a finger.] LSD: All it takes is one wrong move. One wrong decision and the match is over. Being big, being bad, having a legendary last name that looks good on paper. However, inside the war zone. Inside the group of death - you have to be your best every second. Can you do it? Because you know that I will. [The screen cuts away.]
[We return to the broadcast team sitting at the ringside announce table.] CHANEY: Sean Darring will be the smaller man, but with a will like that, is there any question why he is called "The Legend?" WATTERS: Darring is a guy I can respect. I don't always like his ways, especially when he panders to the sheep out there. But in the ring, he always does what he must to win. CHANEY: He is a competitor that is for sure. WATTERS: You're damn right he is. Just imagine if Gringo Loco reached out to HIM! Hot damn! CHANEY: What about Michael Wilson? WATTERS: Him too! What a stable that could be! CHANEY: No, I mean what about Michael Wilson. His match against Davey-boy O'Brien is up next. WATTERS: The O'Brien kid has moxie, but Wilson is on a different level. And what we saw earlier tells us that he is motivated. I'm not sure I like the kid's chances. CHANEY: Even with Keegan helping him? WATTERS: Even if GOD was helping him. CHANEY: Fair enough. Let's take it to the ring and see how O'Brien does against Michael Wilson. Take it away!
[The camera returns to the arena to scan through the raucous crowd before the following graphic appears: ]
[The match graphics vanishes from the screen to show SCW's ring announcer Aaron Buffington standing in the center of the ring, prepared to make introductions.] BUFFINGTON: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is set for one fall and has a fifteen-minute time limit! Introducing first... [The iconic saxophone intro to "Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty wails across the arena to a rather impressive pop from the excited crowd in Dallas. In fact, we even begin to hear the crowd humming along with the saxophone. As they do, Davey-Boy O'Brien bursts through the curtains onto the entrance stage clad in his ring gear complete with a windbreaker and a towel around his neck. Loosely in tow, we see the legendary wrestler Keegan clapping for O'Brien as they both make their way toward the ring.] CHANEY: Listen to this ovation for Davey. Seems as though the crowd enjoyed his first outing. WATTERS: Yeah, well they're a bunch of sheep anyway. Just because they're behind him now doesn't mean he'll walk away with this victory so easily. CHANEY: And of course Keegan is right there with him. WATTERS: Of course... BUFFINGTON: Weighing in tonight at 193 pounds, hailing from The Journey's End, Scotland! This is "The Scottish Terrier" Davey-Booooooooy OOOOOOOO'Briennnnnnnnnnn! [The crowd responds to Davey's name with cheers as he jogs up the steps while waving to the crowd. He backs across the ring apron before wiping his wrestling boots off on the apron then entering through the ropes. He walks toward the hard camera, mounts the second rope before it, and twists his mustache before spreading his arms out. Davey then takes his corner where he discusses strategy with Keegan who is standing on the apron.] BUFFINGTON: And his opponent... ["Jungle" by X Ambassador blairs across the arena to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Michael Wilson emerges from the entrance tunnel. He ignores the fans as he makes his way to the ring.] BUFFINGTON: Weighing in tonight at 227 pounds, he hails from Long Island, New York, this is Michaellllllllll Willllllllllsooooooooooonnnnn! CHANEY: Last week, Wilson found himself on the losing end in the Lone Star Tournament match against Pat Gordon, Jr. WATTERS: Well, what do you expect when you gotta face a man of that caliber? CHANEY: Larry, you and I both know Pat Gordon, Jr. cheated to win. WATTERS: He won. That's all I need to know. [Michael Wilson enters the ring. He mounts his respective turnbuckle and looks around at the crowd before dropping down and stretching for the upcoming match. In the opposing corner, Keegan drops down from the ring apron and takes his spot ringside. Meanwhile, back in the ring, the referee calls for the beginning bell. Unbeknownst to the competitors, El Gringo Loco walks out onto the entrance stage to watch the match.] DING DING! [The action begins with Davey-Boy O'Brien and Michael Wilson circling the ring. Both men seem to be searching for an opening on the other. After a moment of this, they both end up locking up in the center of the ring with a neck-and-collar tie. Michael Wilson begins pushing Davey-Boy backwards in a display of dominance.] CHANEY: A neck-and-collar tie here as the two men are looking for an advantage. WATTERS: I think it's fairly clear who has the advantage right now, Chaney. [Just as Larry says this, Davey surprises everyone by pushing his bigger opponent backwards.] CHANEY: You were saying, Larry...? [Watters doesn't answer. Back in the ring, Michael Wilson decides to change it up a bit by grabbing Davey's arm and wringing it out. Davey slaps his arm, feeling the pain in his arm, but he doesn't stop moving. Davey handsprings through the arm-wringer, forcing Michael Wilson to release the hold as Davey stands in the middle of the ring with a smirk on his face. He tends to his mustache much to the excitement of the crowd. Wilson seems a lot less amused.] WATTERS: What is this crap?! This kid needs to stay focused otherwise- Welp, there ya go! [Watters is cut off by Michael Wilson retaliating by catching Davey-Boy off-guard with a sickening clothesline that puts the smaller man on the ground hard!] WATTERS: Davey reaped what he sewed right there! [Wilson rips Davey-Boy to his feet to administer a few hard forearm shivers which rock Davey-Boy, but Michael doesn't release him. Instead, he backs Davey-Boy against the ropes then sends him toward the opposite ropes. Off the rebound, Michael Wilson hits a devastating Belly-to-Belly Suplex, sending the smaller man to the mat hard, drawing a groan from the crowd!] WATTERS: I bet you Davey wished he would have kept his focus on his opponent now, huh? CHANEY: Well, Michael Wilson certainly taught him a valuable lesson. It looks like Wilson's going for the pin! [Indeed, Wilson pushes down on Davey-Boy's shoulders for the pinfall attempt as the referee drops down for the count: ] ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! Kick out shortly after two! [Wilson doesn't let up; however, as he puts a couple fist to Davey's head before helping him to his feet.] CHANEY: Davey kicks out of the pinfall attempt by Michael Wilson, but he's not out of the woods yet. [Michael Wilson shoves Davey-Boy into the near turnbuckle and just begins kicking Davey in the mid-section, smothering him in the corner. He even mixes it up with a few elbow strikes to keep Davey off-balance. The referee begins his count to back Wilson off: ] ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! WATTERS: Smart man. [Needless to say, before the five count, Michael Wilson backs up off of Davey. He does this just long enough to break the count before he grabs O'Brien by his wrist and Irishwhips him across the ring to the far turnbuckle. Wilson charges after him, looking to catch Davey right as he hits the turnbuckle, but Davey uses the turnbuckle to push himself up and over Michael so that he lands behind him, giving him the perfect opportunity for a rear waistlock. Davey shoves Michael into the turnbuckle stiffly before rolling backwards into an O'Connor Roll!] CHANEY: What a reversal by Davey-Boy here! ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . Davey bridges the O'Connor Roll for extra leverage! . . . . . . . . THRE-KICKOUT! CHANEY: A dangerously close near fall there for Davey! [After the kickout, both men scramble quickly to their feet. Unfortunately for Wilson, Davey-Boy is well-prepared to follow up as they both get to their feet. Davey traps Michael in an Exploder position then show impressive strength as he powers the bigger man over his head for a high impact Exploder Suplex!] WATTERS: Davey made Wilson pay big time with that Exploder Suplex. CHANEY: And he isn't finished, Larry! [Sure enough Davey is already off to the races as he sprints toward the rising Michael Wilson. Wilson realizes this, sidesteps, and pushes Davey past him. When Davey rebounds, Wilson has to be quick to leapfrog over him as Davey ducks underneath and rebounds off the ropes by diving into the top rope with his shoulders then bounces off and turns in mid-air to hit his signature Rebound Lariat as Michael turns around to meet him! Davey immediately goes for the pinfall attempt, realizing just how hard he hit Wilson!] CHANEY: A HUGE Lariat there by O'Brien! ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRE-NO! Kickout by Michael Wilson! [Davey-Boy checks with the referee. He clearly thinks he should have had the three. The camera switches over to El Gringo Loco for a short second as we see a fairly impressed look on his face. Back in Davey's corner, Keegan yells for Davey to focus on his opponent. Unfortunately, his arguing with the referee nearly proves to be his downfall because somehow Michael Wilson is already waiting for him as he turns to get back to work!] CHANEY: Wilson's looking for the GTR! [Davey does the first thing that comes to mind. He simply shoves Wilson away from him. It is a simple prevention of the move so Wilson has a backup plan prepared as he turns back to Davey and catches him with a running Knee Lift to the gut, doubling O'Brien over. Wilson hooks in the front facelock then hits a Snap Suplex on Davey. He quickly gets back on Davey by locking in a sleep hold then pulling down Davey into a prone position.] CHANEY: It looks like Wilson is looking to slow the smaller, faster Davey O'Brien down. WATTERS: Can you blame him? Davey-Boy has too much zip for his own good. [The prone sleeper lock is very effective on Davey as he tries to pry at the fingers of Michael Wilson. Wilson simply tightens his grip, forcing Davey to focus more on breathing than trying to escape. This is when the crowd gets into the match as they chant: ] "DAVEY! DAVEY! DAVEY!" [Suddenly the Solid Man with the Magic Mustache begins pushing himself and Michael Wilson out of the prone sleeper position. When he gets up to his feet, Davey walks Wilson to the ropes and pushes him toward the other side. Michael gladly runs the ropes and runs Davey- Boy over with a big shoulder block!] WATTERS: ...That went nowhere. CHANEY: You have to at least appreciate the kid's spirit. WATTERS: Spirit doesn't win you the match. [Wilson takes a short second to spit some smacktalk at Davey as he's forced to lay there and look up at him. With a smirk, Wilson runs the ropes again only to return to Davey-Boy O'Brien in an Armadillo!] CHANEY: What's this...? [For a moment, Michael Wilson is confused as he rocks Davey only for him to roll right back where he had been originally. Wilson looks down at the ball of human that is Davey-Boy O'Brien even more confused than before when Davey sticks his hand up, offering Michael Wilson the only opportunity to break him out him out of the defensive ball. Needless to say, it backfires on Michael as Davey-Boy rolls him up!] ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THRRE!! NO! KICKOUT! CHANEY: It doesn't get much closer than that without the bell ringing, Larry. WATTERS: Boy, you ain't kiddin'! Wow... [Davey-Boy immediately scrambles to his feet and grips the still prone Michael Wilson in a rear waistlock. Then, in an amazing display of strength and power, Davey-Boy O'Brien DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEXES Michael Wilson! He bridges for the pin attempt!] WATTERS: HOLY SH*BEEP!*! Look at El Gringo Loco's eyes! [Sure enough, the screen changes over to El Gringo Loco whose eyes have widened significantly as he sees Davey-Boy execute this incredible feat.] CHANEY: How did Davey pull that off?! WHAT POWER on that Deadlift German Suplex! WATTERS: Pin attempt!! ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THREE! WAIT, NO! SHOULDER UP! CHANEY: Oh, my lord! Maybe it DOES get closer! [The referee says Michael Wilson got his shoulder up before his hand hit the mat. Unfortunately, Davey is already celebrating his "victory." Keegan is trying to get him to focus back on the match. Needless to say, Michael Wilson doesn't give a damn if Davey's distracted. In fact, he patiently waits for him to turn around. When he does, Michael Wilson simply hits Davey with the GTR with authority!] WATTERS: Put a fork in it; this one is finished. CHANEY: Wilson shoots the half and hooks the leg. ONE!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THREE!! [As Michael Wilson drops Davey's leg, he rises from the canvas to have his arm raised in victory. Back on the entrance stage, El Gringo Loco applauds the efforts of both men before vanishing through the curtains.] BUFFINGTON: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner by pinfall, MICHAELLLLLLL WILSOOOOOOON! [Wilson rolls out of the ring, leaving his opponent to get up slowly. Davey-Boy hits the mat in frustration as he gets the pleasure of hearing "Jungle" by X Ambassadors blaring across the arena once more. He gets up while holding his neck. Davey watches as Michael Wilson turns around to give him one last grin before disappearing behind the curtains.] CHANEY: You have to hand it to him for putting up such a fight against a guy like Wilson, Larry. WATTERS: Second place if the first loser. One of the greatest winners in history said that Chaney, and he was right. CHANEY: That sounds harsh. WATTERS: Life is harsh, cake-boy! [The screen cuts away...]
[The feed picks up backstage, where a wandering cameraman is drawn to a locker room area by peculiar, high-pitched sounds. Peering through one of the doors, he or she accidentally reveals the potential source of said noise, as his or her lens catches two masked figures hunched over in a corner. One, the smallest, is sitting on the floor, his hands hugging his knees in a semi-fetal position, and his body visibly shaking; the second, taller and broader, stands over him, a hand on his shoulder, his demeanor one of gentle concern. Alongside the two, also acting gently concerned, is the hulking, unmistakable figure of Boss Hogg. The bigger man's demeanor radically changes, however, once he spots the camera person; gentleness becomes aggression as he steps towards the door, gesturing for the intruder to leave even as he complements this with some choice words:] MASKED MAN: -BLEEP- outta here, mother-BLEEP-er! [A moment later, the camera person finds his or herself forced to comply, as the door quite literally gets slammed in their face by the outraged masked wrestler. As such, he or she has no choice but to continue on their way, hoping to find something interesting to film elsewhere...]
[We cut back to the ringside broadcast team.] CHANEY: Fans, we don't know exactly what to say about the scene we just saw. WATTERS: Looks like some asses got kicked though. CHANEY: Larry! WATTERS: Well did it not look like that to you, Chaney? CHANEY: Let's just shift to the Group C Tournament match we are about to see. WATTERS: Is this Chase Williams' match? CHANEY: Yes. He takes on Joe public in what will be a possible bounce back after the biggest upset in SCW history to date last Rampage. WATTERS: That wasn't his fault. The blame for that goes to Sagawa, but with them in the same group you had to know that these two would see each other as the biggest dogs in the yard. CHANEY: It is obvious that they have issues with each other. Last Rampage Sagawa all but caused Williams to lose his match by countout to Billy James. WATTERS: Sagawa and Williams are guys that could both go far in this tournament if they don't kill each other first. CHANEY: Just wait until they face each other finally in this tournament group stage! That is going to be a tough ticket around these parts. WATTERS: You can say that again, but it means nothing if one of them loses before they meet. CHANEY: Let's see if Chase can get a tournament win as he looks forward. Take it away!
[As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]
[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is set for one fall and has a fifteen- minute time limit! Introducing first, already in the ring and hailing from Lynchburg, Virginia. Weighing in at one hundred and ninety-five pounds. Here is... J O E P U B L I C ! ! ! CHANEY: The fans giving Joe a nice greeting, probably because they feel bad he is out here alone. WATTERS: It was the smart move. Joe usually has his manager, Jane, out here and tonight she isn't here, which means Joe understands his opponent. CHANEY: You think taking part of his motivation away is good? WATTERS: Well, think of it like this Chaney, If she isn't here, Williams can't use her against him. CHANEY: Oh right. I see your point. WATTERS: Chase Williams isn't to be messed with or given extra opportunities to hurt you because he will do just that. [Aaron Buffington goes to continue the introductions.] BUFFINGTON: And his opponent, hailing from Beverly Hills, California and weighing in at just under three hundred pounds, here is the... "C O N C E I T E D B A S T A R D" C H A S E W I L L I A M S ! ! ! [The screen cuts back to the arena view as "Everybody Wants Rule the World" By Tears for Fears echo's throughout the buiklding as the crowd rises in anticipation] ##Welcome to your life## ##There's no turning back## [Anticipation gives way to massive hate from the crowd as wrestling's gift from god himself makes his return to the wrestling world. The crowd is extremely hateful as per usual as Chase just soaks it in, smirking, adjusting the cuff of his pastel pink dress shirt as he walks slowly to the ringside.] ##Even while we sleep## ##We will find you## ##Acting on your best behavior## ##Turn your back on mother nature## ##Everybody wanst to rule the world## [He slowly climbs the ringsteps and steps confidently through the ropes and stands smug, in the center of _his_ ring, basking in the adoration for several moment before slowly prepping himself for the start of the match.] CHANEY: Chase Williams TOWERS over Joe Public here, Larry! WATTERS: This is a mis-match with a capital M and Joe Public bette rhave his affairs in order. CHANEY: You are right that Jane is best to not be here. WATTERS: No doubt about it. Joe is going to get killed tonight. This isn't even going to be much of a match! [DING! DING! DING!] [With the sound of the bell echoing through The Phoenix, the two competitors begin to circle one another inside the ring. Gearing up for a collar-and-elbow tie-up, Joe Public lunges in, but is quickly met with a powerful elbow strike from the near 300 pounder to the jaw. Public's head snaps back and he staggers into the corner, as Williams remains on top of him with a continuous series of strikes and forearms - each one more powerful and thunderous than the next.] CHANEY: The bell has barely rung and "The Conceited Bastard" is on the offensive! There is no doubt that this match is all about getting revenge for the loss suffered at the hands of Billy James on the last episode of Rampage. WATTERS: And what sucks is that none of that is Joe Public's fault - but you can bet your sweet hiney that he is going to feel the effects of it! Public now downed in the corner, but Chase continues on switching to boots as he stomps the infamous mudhole in him. CHANEY: And walks it dry? WATTERS: Sure. [Each shot from Chase Williams is accompanied by a grunt of frustration and exertion as Referee Shane Staggs has to force himself between the two men to separate them. Finally relinquishing his onslaught, Williams turns towards the crowd and throws two fists up in the air in celebration as the official checks on the downed Public.] CHANEY: What really amuses me is that Williams came out of the match with Billy James relatively unscathed physically - but the bruise to his massive ego is deep and clearly has -not- healed. WATTERS: Can you blame him? You don't get into the upper echelon of a company by losing to the likes of The Regulator. CHANEY: I wouldn't say THAT - Billy James has a job for a reason. WATTERS: Yeah, from what I hear he has no gag refle- CHANEY: LARRY! WATTERS: WHAT?!?!? [Back in the ring though the action continues as Williams finishes his short celebration and pushes his way past the official to grab a handful of Public's hair and pull him out of the corner and back to a vertical base. No sooner does Public get his feet underneath him than Williams seizes a wrist and his shoulder and sends him sailing into the ropes with an Irish Whip.] CHANEY: Public off the ropes – Williams hits the opposite strands – DISCUS LARIAT!!! [The visual from the lariat is stunning as Public does a full 360 degree flip against his own will before meeting the canvas with a thud.] WATTERS: The sheer power behind that lariat almost took Public out of his boots! But I don't think Williams is done with him as he quickly pulls Joe back to his feet and buries his toe right in the breadbasket. CHANEY: Going for the quick win? Chase applies a standing head scissors and motioning for his Moment of Clarity! The very move that he delivered onto the concrete last week, sending The Kochi Cannibal to the hospital. [Doubling over, Chase Williams hooks the legs of Joe Public and lifts him perpendicular to the canvas for his Cradle Piledriver Finisher.] WATTERS: Holding him up! Letting the blood rush to his head! All to make it that much more devesta- [But the words of Larry Watters are soon cut off, by a darker, gravely, more sinister sounding tone over the sound system...] Voice: Chasey Chasey Chasey Chasey ... Willy Willy Willy. [... and through the curtain steps the man behind it. The Kochi Cannibal. The former Big Game Hunter. And now the man simply known as SAGAWA. As he passes through the curtain, he makes a small circle and basks in the cheers of the crowd before turning and snarling his blood stained teeth towards The Beverly Hills superstar. Meanwhile in the ring, there is no question that Chase Williams has taken notice as he releases his grip on Joe Public and points a threatening finger in the direction of SAGAWA, as he verbally spews venom at him.] CHANEY: SAGAWA IS HERE! WATTERS: Did you expect anything else? CHANEY: Actually, I expected him to change out of the clothes that he wore two weeks ago when he snuck out of a local medical facility following his attach by Chase Williams. [Eric Chaney is not wrong, as SAGAWA is still wearing the exact same clothes that he had on the last time we saw him. Dried blood stains his forehead from where his head collided with the concrete floor of The Phoenix. His only addition is a relatively clean looking cloth neckbrace that he wears below his chin. Back up in the ring though, Chase Williams oversteps his boundaries and grabs a handful of Shane Staggs' striped shirt and warns him to get SAGAWA out of there. But as his focus is on what is transpiring in the aisle, Joe Public seizes the opportunity to leap up and grab both of Williams' shoulders and plant his bended knees right between the shoulder blades.] CHANEY: LUNGBLOWER FROM PUBLIC!!! [The impact from the shot sends Williams bounding into the air before collapsing to the canvas as Public scurries to make a quick cover.] WILLIAMS: NOT AGAIN! CAN LIGHTENING STRIKE TWICE! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THREE!!! CHANEY: NOOOOOOO! [In what could possibly be a photo finish, Chase Williams rolls his shoulders off the canvas as the final millisecond as Referee Shane Staggs makes the judgment call and holds up two fingers. Throwing his arms out in frustration, Public pleads with the referee who appears almost apologetic to his cause.] WATTERS: That was waaaaaay too close for my liking! Listen, I love SAGAWA as much as all of these fans, but he can't be screwing with Chase Williams like this. [The camera pans the idea as SAGAWA continues on his way down the aisle, staggering back and forth like a snake – a sinister smirk engulfing his face. Raising the microphone to his lips once again, he speaks.] SAGAWA: Noooooooo .. no Lonestaaaaaaaaaaah .. Chasey Willy. CHANEY: (Snickering) Did he just call him Chasey Willy? WATTERS: Why don't you ask him? He is heading our way! [Trying to shake the cobwebs lose, Chase Williams pushes himself up onto all fours as Joe Public dives over his back and hooks his head and arms.] CHANEY: Majistral Cradle by Public! ONE! CHANEY: NOOOOO! Chase Williams instantly kicks out this time – no room for debate! WATTERS: And he looks incensed! [Quickly getting back to his feet, Chase Williams starts to charge towards the side of the ring where SAGAWA resides, staring back at him, as Referee Shane Staggs almost instinctively grabs a waistlock and points back towards Public – reminding The Conceited Bastard where his opponent is. Williams responds by giving the ref a slight shove and pointing a threatening finger in his face.] WILLIAMS: You keep your hands off of my, or I'll make you swallow your teeth! [Staggs simply points to the stripes on his shirt, as a reminder of who is in charge. Meanwhile at ringside, SAGAWA slams his hands on the ring apron to grab the attention of Chase Williams, who brushes him off and charges across the ring – planting a boot upside the head of a still kneeling Joe Public.] WATTERS: Chase Williams pointing to his brain and letting SAGAWA know that he is the smarter man and he is not going to let The Kochi Cannibal get inside his head. CHANEY: And he _ needs _ to do that, otherwise he is going to end up 0-2 in active competition on Southwestern Championship Wrestling. WATTERS: Public trying to get his wits about him, but Chase Williams is right on him, straddling his shoulders as he kneels there and driving a series of piston like punches right to the temple! CHANEY: Each one of those shots are having an effect on Joe Public, but with every strike I am sure that he only sees the face of The Kochi Cannibal. WATTERS: No doubt! But look at SAGAWA, absolutely relishing it! You can tell that SAGAWA wants this fight just as much as Chase Williams. CHANEY: Chasey Willy. WATTERS: Shut up! [His jaw still flapping as Williams bad-mouths his rival, SAGAWA, he allows Joe Public to crawl forward a few feet before reaching down and locking in a waistlock from behind. In one swift motion he scoops Public up from his kneeling position and sends him sailing overhead and across the ring.] WATTERS: DEADLIFT RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX!!!! CHANEY: Williams is _ not _ going for the cover. He may claim that he has a whole lot of smarts going on upstairs, but this unexpected appearance from SAGAWA has unquestionably gotten inside his head. WATTERS: Relax! He knows what he is doing! He is just baiting SAGAWA into making some kind of mistake and hand delivering him a W on a silver platter. [Pacing himself backwards, Chase Williams steps over the supine Joe Public. Deliberately he drops to his knees and hooks the legs – his eyes in dead contact with the man standing outside the ring.] CHANEY: Cover! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THR- CHANEY: Shoulder up!!! [Joe Public rolls his shoulder before the referee can connect with the mat a third time, but the expression on the face of Chase Williams isn't shock – but instead it is delight.] WATTERS: Chase Williams loving the fact that he can dish out some more punishment. That he can show The Kochi Cannibal exactly what he thinks his future holds. [A smirk painting his face, Chase Williams grabs the body of Joe Public and starts to roll him across the length of the ring – towards the area where SAGAWA glares back at him with his hands planted firmly on the apron of the ring.] WILLIAMS: THIS ... Is gonna be you!!! CHANEY: Words of warning for SAGAWA as Williams gets up to his knees and grabs the head and arm of Joe Public – CROSSFACE!!!! [His hands clenched tightly under the chin of Joe Public as he scissors the arms, The Conceited Bastard wrenches back with all of his might. Public's spine is forced to bend backwards in an awkward position, the tendons in his neck visible, as Referee Shane Staggs leans in looking for a submission. But just inches away, SAGAWA begins to beat on the canvas in a rhythmic fashion – showing his support for the man being victimized by the world traveled superstar.] JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! CHANEY: SAGAWA is rallying the crowd! He is putting them right in the corner of Joe Public! WATTERS: SACRILEGE! CHANEY: You may think! But Joe Public is fighting! A weaker man may have already given up, but Public is reaching out with his free arm towards the ropes! [The camera zooms in on the outstretched arm of Joe Public as his fingertips almost graze the bottom strand. Realizing the positioning, Chase Williams throws his weight backwards in the Crossface Submission and rolls both men back to the center of the ring.] WILLIAMS: SUCK IT SAGAWA!!!! [Having felt the victory literally slip away from him, Joe Public raises his hand and starts to lower it towards the canvas – but before he can, SAGAWA starts to beat the canvas like a tribal drum once again.] JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! JOE PUB – LIC! [... and just like that, Public braces his free forearm on the canvas and begins to push with his feet back towards the ropes. A shocked crowd in Dallas is on their feet, showing their support, and Public feels it coursing through his veins.] CHANEY: Can you believe it! Joe Public is fighting to the ropes! Joe Public is _ not _ giving up. Not today! WATTERS: I am REALLY starting to hate SAGAWA right now! [His teeth are gritted in determination as Public gets within arms reach of the ropes and extends towards the bottom strand. But just as he is about to grasp it, Williams releases the crossface portion of the submission and drives his forearm across the bridge of Public's nose, resulting in an involuntary scream. A closer camera shot shows exactly why as well, as Public's eyes have teared up and gone glassy as blood begins to trickle from his nostrils. Realizing that the fight is not going to go his way, Joe Public does the only thing that he can and starts to ...] WATTERS: HE IS GOING TO TAP!!! [.... but just as the hand is about to come down, SAGAWA pushes the bottom rope forward underneath Public's grasp and he seizes the bottom rope. And the crowd goes bonkers!] WATTERS: SON OF A !!!! [Larry Watters sentiments are echoes by The Conceited Bastard as he releases his grip on Joe Public and quickly rolls through the ropes and to the floor of The Phoenix as SAGAWA backs away with his hands raised in a sign of innocence. The smirk on The Cannibal's face however says it all. Clenching his fists, he gets ready for the fight that he wants, but Referee Shane Staggs bails from the ring and gets between the two men. One finger points back towards the ring in a warning to Williams, while the other finger points towards the locker room for SAGAWA. "YOU'RE OUT OF HERE!" he screams as The Japanese Cult Icon throws his arms up in debate. Realizing he has pushed things too far, SAGAWA slumps his shoulders and begins a slow shuffle back towards the aisle.] CHANEY: The referee trying his damnedest to reassert some authority in this match as Chase Williams rolls back into the ring. WATTERS: It's about time too. Listen, I get the whole revenge thing. Believe me. But these two have a date with destiny in just a few weeks and SAGAWA needs to keep his ugly nose out of my man, Chase Williams' business. [Turning the corner towards the aisle, SAGAWA is playing along by the rules as Chase Williams mounts the bottom rope and points a warning finger in his direction. In an act of sheer arrogance and showing his true dick nature, he screams at The Kochi Cannibal.] WILLIAMS: That's right! Run away you [BLEEP] [The crowd gasps at the language that they heard, as SAGAWA freezes in his tracks and slowly begins to turn around.] CHANEY: What the hell is Chase Williams thinking? He had SAGAWA out of there! [Turning his attention back towards the ring, SAGAWA stares an icy cold stare through the very fiber of Chase Williams soul. Garnering his attention just long enough for Joe Public to regain his wits. Charging forward again, Public leaps up and grabs a hold of both of Williams' shoulders and drives his bent knees into the back.] CHANEY: ANOTHER LUNGBLOWE- WATTERS: NOOOO! Elbow right to the teeth from Chase! He just swatted him away like a damn housefly! [Williams however doesn't turn his attention away, as SAGAWA stares back at him and reaches up behind his neck to unclasp the cloth neckbrace that he has on. Removing it, he throws it up in the face of The Conceited Bastard who is cursing so much in his direction that saliva is literally flying through the air. Taking a step towards the ring, SAGAWA hurls the neckbrace at Williams and looks around to the crowd as he "hulks up" and screeches out his catchphrase...] SAGAWA: GWEILO GONNA DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE! [Knowing what is coming, Referee Shane Staggs steps in once more in an attempt to separate the two men and do justice by the match. Grabbing Chase Williams around the waist again, he starts to pull him away from the ropes ...] WATTERS: NOOOOOOOOOOO! CHANEY: WILLIAMS JUST ELBOWED THE REFEREE!!! Referee Shane Staggs um ... staggering back towards the corner, checking to see he has all his teeth and HERE COME SAGAWA!!!! [With the official's attention diverted, SAGAWA leaps up onto the ring apron as Williams backsteps – ready for a fight. Grasping the top rope, SAGAWA propels himself upwards and springboards towards The Conceited Bastard.] CHANEY: METEOOOOOORAAAAAAAAA!!!! [... but as SAGAWA's knees connect with the chest of Chase Williams, Williams manages to hold his footing and wrap his arms around the back of The Kochi Cannibal. Spinning 180 degrees, Williams notices Joe Public on all fours trying to regain his wits and charges forwards. Throwing SAGAWA into the air, he releases him in powerbomb fashion across the prone back of Joe Public. Under the weight of The Kochi Cannibal, Public's back is forced to bend in an awkward angle.] CHANEY: OH MY GOD!!! WATTERS: HE IS BROKEN IN HALF!!! [The impact causes a stunned SAGAWA to roll from the ring as Chase Williams wastes no time in pulling an agonized Joe Public back to his feet.] WATTERS: Chase Williams is on fire! CHANEY: That he is ... Joe Public pulled into a standing headscissor! WATTERS: MOMENT OF CLARITY!!! [But it isn't just any moment of clarity, as Chase William deliberately gets a little bit of air before driving the head of Joe Public down into the canvas with his Cradle Piledriver. The shot shows the awkward angle that Public's neck bends at before Williams floats over into the cover.] CHANEY: Chase screaming towards the official who is still checking for loose teeth – but he spins around and sees the cover. ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WATTERS: It's over!!!! [DING! DING! DING!] BUFFINGTON: Your winner of this match by pinfall, earning 25 points in the Lonestar Title Tournament is ... "CONCEITED BASTARD" CHASE WILLIAMS!!!!!! [Completely exhausted from the physical and mental war he was just in, Chase Williams pushes himself to his knees and hands his arm to the official for the customary raising of the arm. But as he opens his eyes, SAGAWA is back in the ring and kneeling before him – a small trickle of red dripping from his lips. Jerking his head back, SAGAWA lunges forward and spews his cloud of mist into the face of Chase Williams.] WATTERS: RED MIST!!! CHANEY: NO! WILLIAMS BLOCKED IT! [His hand up at the last second, Williams shields his eyes, the mist covering his forearm. Pushing the forearm forward, he pops SAWAGA right in the teeth with such intensity that both men roll through the ropes and to the floor – only to start exchanging blows.] CHANEY: And they aren't done yet! These two have been at each other's throats for two weeks and they haven't even had their tournament match yet! [The camera pans from high above as Referee Staggs and a flurry of officials come pouring out from the locker room area to swarm the two men that will not stay apart from one another. ] WILLIAMS: You KNOW I love SAGAWA, but I HATE the fact that I am being forced to choose. CHANEY: And choose you will in just a month's time as these men are scheduled to go head to head in Episode 5 of Rampage. But right now, we are going to try to regain some order while you check this out. [And the screen fades as officials physically try to pull Williams and SAGAWA away from one another, SAGAWA's feet flailing in the air violently as they do.]
[Back in the locker room, Davey-Boy O'Brien sits by himself hunched over on the bench in front of his locker. Since his back is toward the locker, we can see that he's still clad in his ring gear. Davey's focus isn't on the camera though. It's completely on that all- too-familiar walnut box in his hands. For a long moment, Davey-Boy just stares at the box. Our ringside announcers can be heard as they can see the backstage view on their small screens at the desk, but the crowd cannot see anything happening backstage.] CHANEY: Do you suppose he's going to open the box..? WATTERS: I wish he would already. The fact that he was given a gift by El Gringo Loco and he still hasn't opened it is astonishing. I bet it's something nice. [It seems as though Davey decides not to open it as he lowers the box.] WATTERS: Seriously?! This kid is gonna wait another week to open that damn box!? CHANEY: I mean, it's his choice... WATTERS: That's just disrespectful to El Gringo Loco to not open his gift! [As if he heard Larry, Davey-Boy O'Brien suddenly raises the box back up. This time he just opens the top of the box and looks in. Almost immediately the shine of gold appears on Davey-Boy's face as his eyes get large and his mouth gapes a bit. Davey sits there for a very long moment in a look of disbelief as the golden shine covers his whole face.] CHANEY: What do you suppose it is..? WATTERS: I have no idea, but it looks like something good. El Gringo Loco never disappoints! Besides, the kid needed a pick-me-up, I think, after that loss tonight. [A knock at the door followed by Keegan's voice brings Davey-Boy back to reality.] KEEGAN: Davey, ye dressed yet, lad? [Davey immediately shuts the box before getting to his feet.] DAVEY-BOY: In the skud 'bout to 'op into the shower! Ah'll be out soon. [Davey returns the box to a bag in his locker before grabbing a towel and heading into the shower room as the scene fades outs.]
[We cut back to the ringside announce team.] CHANEY: I wonder what is in the box? WATTERS: I think everyone wants to know. There was even a twitter poll about it the other day! CHANEY: Seriously! WATTERS: This is a big deal and I don't know if Davey-boy truly knows just how big it could be. The fact Gringo Loco scouted him should make it interesting enough to open a gift from him. CHANEY: El Gringo Loco is known for being devious though. WATTERS: You say devious and I say shrewd with whom he does business and how he does it. CHANEY: Well one of his men is up next as Pat Gordon Junior will be out here to take on Flanagan in the next match. WATTERS: Gordon is the cream of the crop....a true champion! And when you have Gringo Loco giving you strategy, how could you not get gold? CHANEY: Gordon didn't used to need such help. WATTERS: When you want to be a champion, you do what you have to do. Gordon began listening to Gringo Loco and his entire career went up ten notches and he got a World Title. Beat that with a stick! CHANEY: Well it is time to head to the ring and get this one started! Take it away!
[As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]
[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON: The next match is scheduled for one fall with a ten minute time limit. Introducing first, hailing from your local pub and weighing in at two hundred-forty-five pounds. Here is.... F L A N A G A N ! ! ! [Flanagan stumbles his way to the ring in his blue jeans, high-fiving a few of the fans with seats along the aisle.] WATTERS: This guy looks like he spent the night out with the Drunk Tank. Whew, he smells like it, too! CHANEY: Don't you mean he looks like he spent the night in the Drunk Tank, Crusher? WATTERS: No, I mean he looks like he went out drinking with Jonny Bedlam and Jimmy Houlihan. You know, the World Champion of - CHANEY: I know who you mean, Crusher. BUFFINGTON: And his opponent, now residing in Muskogee, Oklahoma, representing El Cartel de Loco and led to the ring by El Gringo Loco XLVII, weighing in at 247 pounds... P A T... G O R D O N... J U N I O R ! ! ! [The Texas fans boo as El Gringo Loco XLVII leads Pat Gordon, Junior into the arena to the tune of Merle Haggard's 'Okie from Muskogee.' Gordon is once again carrying the large, black duffel bag from the last Rampage. The duo make their way down the aisle, taking a few seconds to jaw at some of the fans.] CHANEY: Well, Pat Gordon, Junior requested a match tonight, and Flanagan is going to be his opponent. Do you think he should have just taken the night off, Crusher? WATTERS: Well, it's what I would have done, but they call Pat Gordon, Junior the Hardest Working Man in Pro-Wrestling for a reason, Chaney. He wants to stay in shape to win the tournament and become the first ever SCW Lonestar Heavyweight Champion. CHANEY: He's got a long road ahead of him if he wants to become Champion, Crusher, but we'll see how the weeks unfold. [At ringside, Pat sets the bag on the floor and psyches out a fan by acting like he's going to give away his new "Well, isn't that just peachy!" t-shirt only to pull it away at the last second. Gordon and Gringo have a laugh at the poor fan's expense before they proceed up the ring steps. El Gringo Loco holds open the ropes for Pat Gordon, Junior to step inside the squared circle. There isn't time for the Mexican Mastermind to enter the ring before Flanagan starts the match early with a kneelift to Gordon's head. EGL scurries back down the ring steps to safety.] CHANEY: Flanagan decides not to wait for the bell to get things started. He wanted to get the early edge against Gordon, and I can't say I blame him. WATTERS: Oh sure, when a guy like Flanagan does it, it's okay, but if it had been Pat Gordon, Junior doing it, you'd be complaining like one of the Trump kids getting the wrong sprinkles on their ice cream. CHANEY: [Smugly.] Wrong. [Flanagan hammers away at Gordon's melon with a few punches and pulls him into the ring.] CHANEY: Flanagan is choking Pat Gordon, Junior with his own t-shirt! WATTERS: Come on, get in there, referee. That's illegal! He should be disqualified. [Larry Watters isn't the only one complaining. Loco is crying murder at ringside. It seems to have done the trick, as Shane Staggs warns the Local Pub Crawler to let go. Flanagan tosses the t-shirt into the crowd and locks the Oklahoma Orthodontist in a front facelock. He swings back and forth. A one, and a two, and a...] CHANEY: Beautiful swinging neckbreaker by Flanagan. He follows it up with an elbow drop. WATTERS: Look at the way he drives the point of his elbow right into Pat Gordon, Junior's chest. CHANEY: And now Flanagan is going for an early pin! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R.............................KICKOUT!!!!!!!!!! CHANEY: Just a two count says referee Shane Staggs. WATTERS: What an upset that could have been for Flanagan to get such a quick win over a top class competitor like Pat Gordon, Junior. CHANEY: Indeed, it would have been, Crusher, but Gordon is safe for now. [Flanagan lays the boots into PGJR before hitting him with another elbow drop.] CHANEY: There's another elbow drop, and another. [Flanagan goes for a fourth successive elbow drop, but the Muskogee Mauler rolls out of the way.] WATTERS: He went to the well one too many times with those elbow drops, Chaney. [The missed elbow gives Pat Gordon, Junior an opportunity to get back onto his feet. Flanagan charges Gordon with a double axe handle smash, but gets a boot to the gut for his troubles. CHANEY: Flanagan is caught coming in with a kick to the midsection, and now Gordon with a rake of the eyes! What a terrible lack of sportsmanship by Pat Gordon, Junior taking a shortcut like that. [Pat scoops Flanagan off the mat only to plant him on his back with a bodyslam. He stays on top of the Pub Crawler by dropping to the canvas and latching onto his throat with a blatant chokehold.] CHANEY: Now Pat Gordon, Junior is applying an illegal choke. Shane Staggs needs to break this up! WATTERS: What goes around, comes around, Chaney. Flanagan used a foreign object to choke him, earlier. The Oklahoma Orthodontist is just showing he can give as good as he gets. [Shane Staggs issues a five count, warning PGJR to break the choke.] ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! [Junior releases the illegal hold and pulls Flanagan to his feet by his head. The Oklahoma Orthodontist drags Flanagan's face across the top rope and then smashes his head into the turnbuckle at the end of it. Gordon sets him up in a standing headscissors.] CHANEY: Gordon slams him face-first into the turnbuckle. What's he going for here? [Gordon hoists Flanagan up and folds him over with a devastating powerbomb!] WATTERS: What a move! CHANEY: Powerbomb by Pat Gordon, Junior, and he folds him over for the pin. ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R.............................ROPEBREAK!!!! CHANEY: It's only a two count as Flanagan was able to reach out and grab the bottom rope. WATTERS: Lucky for him that he was close enough to do it. CHANEY: Indeed it was a stroke of luck for Flanagan, Crusher, and for all of these fans! I'm sure they'd rather not see Pat Gordon, Junior notch another win tonight. WATTERS: Well that's their tough luck, Chaney, because that's exactly what's gonna happen! [PGJR kneels over Flanagan and starts biting his face!] CHANEY: I can't believe what I'm seeing, now he's just biting Flanagan! Those kinds of tactics have no place in a wrestling ring. He should be fined for that... or suspended. WATTERS: It ain't cheating if you don't get caught. CHANEY: But he's doing it right in clear view of Shane Staggs! WATTERS: Look, Chaney, Flanagan's fighting back! He looks like he's had enough. [The Pub Crawler frantically hammers away with punches to Pat Gordon, Junior's head in an attempt to stop the biting. Finally, Flanagan just breaks it up with a good, old fashioned thumb to the eye.] CHANEY: A thumb to the eye by Flanagan, and that'll stop Pat Gordon, Junior from biting him. It's about time! WATTERS: There you go showing your bias again, Chaney. CHANEY: What's good for the goose is good for the gander. [With Pat Gordon, Junior blindly stumbling away, Flanagan seizes the opportunity to grab him from behind for a big atomic drop! That gets the crowd right back into it. Flanagan spins him around and sends the Muskogee Mauler into the turnbuckle with an Irish whip that turns him upside down.] CHANEY: Whip into the corner and now Pat Gordon, Junior is hanging upside down in the tree of woe! Ooh! WATTERS: I can't bear to watch this! [Flanagan climbs to the top turnbuckle, stepping on Gordon's crotch and bouncing up and down on it along the way. Once he reaches the top, he turns and waits for PGJR to try to pull his torso up to try to fight back before leaping off with a vicious double foot stomp!] CHANEY: What a move by Flanagan to hit that double foot stomp off the top rope! WATTERS: Moves like that are dangerous, Chaney. He could have killed him right there. Look at Gordon. He's out like a light! I hate to say it, but this could be it. CHANEY: There's the cover. ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R.............................KICKOUT!!! WATTERS: That was a close one. CHANEY: Indeed, Flanagan checks with Shane Staggs, and he confirms it was just a two count. WATTERS: Now what's he doing? [The Local Pub Crawler brings Junior into a standing headscissors and spikes his head into the canvas with a jumping piledriver!] CHANEY: Jumping piledriver by Flanagan! WATTERS: Did you see how he bounced off the mat from that impact, Chaney? CHANEY: I sure did. But Pat Gordon, Junior just rolled out of the ring to avoid the pinfall attempt. WATTERS: He's running on pure instinct right now. There's no way you can think about what you're doing after getting your brain scrambled like that. CHANEY: And those instincts may have just saved this match for him. ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . T H R E E ?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!? [Flanagan steps out to the apron and walks over by the ringpost. He gets a running start and dives at PGJR with a cannonball!] EGL: Mira, Patricio! Look out! [Flanagan misses as the Muskogee Mauler moves out of the way!] CHANEY: Flanagan misses with the high risk maneuver, and did you hear the THUD he made when he landed? WATTERS: Chaney, that even made me cringe! There's a concrete floor under those pads, and they aren't as thick as most people think. Hey, can we see that again on instant replay, or better yet, can someone just send that to me on Facebook? CHANEY: Speaking of Facebook, Crusher, SCW is trending on Facebo - WATTERS: Shut up, Chaney. There will be no social media reports on commentary on my watch. [Flanagan holds his lower back after awkwardly landing on his tailbone. Shane Staggs resets his count, and Pat Gordon, Junior takes a moment to collect himself.] ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! [Pat grabs Flanagan and pulls him back to his feet.] FIVE! [He smashes Flanagan's face into the ringpost!] SIX! CHANEY: Gordon sends him right into the ringpost! [PGJR bundles him back into the ring and follows closely behind. He locks up for a suplex and cradles Flanagan's leg, locking his hands together.] WATTERS: This could be it! CHANEY: GORDON'S FISHERMAN SUPLEX! WATTERS: [Singing.] Trust the Gordon's Fisherman... Suplex. ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THREE???? YES! THREE! [DING DING DING!!!] [El Gringo Loco joins Pat Gordon, Junior in the ring and raises Gordon's arm in celebration.] CHANEY: Well, there you have it. Flanagan put up a great fight, but he takes a big risk that doesn't pay off, and Pat Gordon, Junior escapes with another victory. WATTERS: You know as well as I do, Chaney, Pat Gordon, Junior was just baiting him. That's the benefit of having a great mind like El Gringo Loco in your corner. It's that human game of Stratego. CHANEY: Don't you mean human game of... ? Never mind. [The screen cuts away...]
[The camera fades backstage as Caleb Foley is seen walking out of a dressing room with a black luggage right behind him. He is already changed into a white SCW tank top and beige khaki shorts with flip flops on.] FOLEY: You know SCW I came back to professional wrestling to prove that I can still compete with the best of them. My past has not defined me, destroyed me, deterred me, or defeated me; it has only strengthened me. Sure I have made mistakes but who hasn't? [Caleb shrugs as he continues to walk down the hallway.] FOLEY: The key is that you learn from them. You grow from them. Tonight was a prime example of that. When I first came into the business I had a lot of matches where I dominated early but my stamina just was not up to par. I found it hard to compete against the crafty veterans who knew the ins and outs. So I tried to hit flashy move and take unnecessary risks against them. Sometimes it paid off and other times I fell flat on my face and tasted defeat. [Brief pause as Caleb passes a few SCW crew members backstage but continues about his business.] FOLEY: Steve Dann was a worthy opponent. He pushed me to the limit just like El Principè and Jed Johnson did. SCW has a list of superstars who are just waiting for an opportunity to shine. Some may be veterans. Some might be rookies. Some may have never gotten a shot. But one thing for sure is if I want to be the first man to be the SCW Lonestar Heavyweight Champion I have to stay focused. I have to take it one match at a time and not get ahead of myself. [Caleb pushes open a door text the building and enters the parking lott.] FOLEY: People seem to think I am the same old Caleb Foley that wrestled back in Phoenix. They seem to think I came back to wrestling because me being a "P.I.M.P." did not work out because I didn't have the skin to be a bad ass. Stick around people I will show you a thing or two that I learned along the way. So go ahead and think you know me. Think of me as predictable inside and outside of the ring. A wise man once told me ... [Foley reaches the back of a black SUV and opens the door. He throws his luggage in.] FOLEY: Never let your left hand know what your right hand is doing... [With those words Caleb enters the passenger side of the vehicle. He rolls down the window and flashes a smile before the SUV takes off.]
[We return to the ringside announce table with our broadcast team ready to move forward.] CHANEY: Caleb Foley with some words of wisdom, Crusher! WATTERS: The kid has learned a lot and he is a veteran, but he still gives away too much and ought to just fight and do what he has to do every night. CHANEY: You don't like this Foley? WATTERS: I barely tolerated the pimp Foley. The guy, at his core, wants fans to believe in him. That is an achilles heel, in my book. CHANEY: You really do think that don't you? WATTERS: It is like what I said about Sean Darring. There was a time when that guy would poke out an eye or kick in a testicle just to get a pinfall. He may still be one of the best technical guys in the wrestling world, but the fact he cares about fans means he isn't invulnerable anymore. And someone will eventually take advantage. CHANEY: Well he is in our main event next against Bam Markham. WATTERS: Markham isn't my cup of tea, but he is big enough to be a problem for anybody here except maybe Chris Smith, far as size. is concerned. CHANEY: This is a group of death match and the winner will tie Pat Gordon Junior for the Group lead! WATTERS: It is a good one, but Darring will find a way to sneak past the big oaf. He always is the smarter guy. CHANEY: We shall see as it ia MAIN EVENT TIME ON RAMPAGE!!! Take it away!
[As the camera switches to the ring, the following graphics fills the screen.]
[The graphic leaves and we see SCW Ring Announcer Aaron Buffington in the ring ready to go.] BUFFINGTON: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is a Group D match in the Lonestar Championship tournament and is your main event of the evening! Introdu CAM MARKHAM: Sir, sir, sir... I'll take it from here if you would be so kind! [The camera cuts to a man in black jeans, a red t-shirt and a black jacket standing on the entrance ramp. The crowd cheers as he taps his cane on the stage and grins with a microphone in his other hand. This is the manager and grandfather of The Big Bad Bull from Boulder... Cam Markham!] CAM MARKHAM: Introducing first... the man that'll be 25 points closer after this match and YOUR future champion! The man that cannot be stopped by any Boss, Legend or anybody in between! Standing at six-foot five! Weighing in at two-hundred eighty-six pounds! He is the BIG! BAD! BULL! ALL THE WAY FROM BOULDER, COLORADO! He's the man you all paid to see whoop somebody's ass... BAAAAAAAMMMMMMM MAAAAARRRRKKKKHHHHAAAAMMM!!!!! ["World On Fire" by Corrosion of Conformity thunders over the PA and out comes the Big Bad Bull from Boulder himself. Black towel draped over his head, he acknowledges the cheering crowd with a nod and then he and his grandfather head on down the ramp.] CHANEY: And here we are in our main event! Bam is a bad bad man and we saw that two weeks ago when he took on Big Boss Hogg in such a HARD hitting match! Watters, what do yo think going into this match? WATTERS: I think Sean Darring better have himself a good dental plan if Bam hits that Meat Hook. We saw him just DROP Big Boss Hogg and follow that up with that massive Bam Bomb of his. Darring's going to need every trick he's acquired in his twenty-plus years in the business to offset the power and sheer force Bam has. CHANEY: Right on all counts and very astute of you. WATTERS: You know when I know I'm right, Chaney? As soon as the words leave my mouth! [Bam Markham enters the ring and has a seat square in the middle, arms folded in the ring with the towel still on his head.] CHANEY: Bam getting comfortable? WATTERS: Look at the size of that man. He can do whatever the hell he wants. He's itching for a fight and Darring's one of you... ugh, do-gooders. He won't try anything dirty. [The music fades and the crowd goes quiet as the legendary opening chords to the Final Countdown by Europe blasts over the PA system...] BUFFINGTON: And his opponent... Introducing from Miami, Florida... Standing at 6 foot 4 and weighing in at 240 lbs... he is... "T H E L E G E N D" S E A N D A R R I N G ! ! ! [The fans begin to cheer as green mist emerges from the back. "The Legend" Sean Darring walks through the mist as he walks down the aisle way. Decked out in a full-blown golden robe with the words "The Legend" written in silver glitter letters.]The fans reach across their seats and into the aisle way trying to the legend. Sean Darring stops along the way to greet young fans and spend a few seconds with them as he continues towards the ring.] CHANEY: Bam isn't taking his eyes off the legend. This match means a LOT to both men as its the first of their three match-ups in the Group of Death. Sean Darring, over two decades experience. Bam Markham, only 25 years of age, but an athletic freak and a true slugger. WATTERS: Yeah, this is going to be one of those "styles make fights" type matches. Darring can chop just about anybody down to size, but Bam has raw power that you can't teach and has Cam in his corner to dispense with advise. [Finally, after what felt like a long few minutes, The Legend steps between the ropes and into the squared circle as Bam stands to face him. The two men lock eyes for the first time in their respective careers, then Bam steps aside as Sean greets the fans. He turns one final time with his long elegant robe and raises his arms bringing the fans to their feet.] CHANEY: Listen to this reaction! These two are going to be two of the people we build this company around going forward. WALTERS: Darring looks ready for this match. He isn't afraid of Bam. [The robe comes off and Sean Darring takes in a massive ovation from the crowd before he folds the robe up and tosses it aside to a stagehand. Cam gives his grandson some last pearls of wisdom and then the two bump fists before Bam turns to face Darring. The two men now met in the middle of the ring and square up as the referee calls for the bell.] [DING! DING!! DING!!!] CHANEY: And here we go! Our main event is underway. Twenty-five points are at stake for either man with a pinfall or submission victory and fifteen minute time limit. WATTERS: And now Darring wants to lock up! [Sean Darring goes first and has his hands up, looking to lock up. Darring only has about an inch less on Bam and when the two come to lock up, Bam overpowers him quickly and tries to push him into the corner, but Darring backs off and goes around for a waistlock then switches into a Headlock on the big man. Figuring his best chance to control Bam is control the head, he keeps his composure and goes for broke, only for Bam to try and launch him off the ropes...] CHANEY: No! Darring won't let go of that Headlock! He has Bam right where he wants him and now Bam has to think. WATTERS: All he's doing is pissing off the Big Bad Bull doing this nonsense! [Darring does his best impression of a matador trying to tame the Big Bad Bull with the tight Headlock. Bam goes back into the ropes a second time, but Darring kneels down and still doesn't let go. With his grip still airtight, the veteran feels a stinging jab in the side of his body and that's Bam trying to wail on him to get him to let go of the hold.] [When Darring tries to hang on for dear life, Cam yells at Bam to take him upwards to throw him down. He does just that... but before he can pop off the Back Suplex that might have saved him, Darring rolls forward into a cover attempting to steal one from the Big Bad Bull right off the bat!] CHANEY: Try as he might, Bam can't seem to get out of the blocks against Darring. This is smart strategy WATTERS: How? He's gonna bore Bam to death before the time limit runs out? CHANEY: He's controlling the pace. Bam will have to do something soon if he wants to get in control. [The crowd seems split in their support between the respected veteran and the giant ass kicking mountain man as Darring tries to ground Bam with the Headlock he still has on. He does try, but when Bam surges back to life again, he breaks free! But when Bam gets to the ropes, Darring goes low with a Drop Toe Hold... and right back to the Headlock on the ground!] CHANEY: He's got Bam on the proverbial ropes right now and no matter what Bam has done to try and break the hold so far, Darring has gone back to that Headlock! WATTERS: Wake me when Bam starts wrecking him. CHANEY: Now The Legend trying to keep him grounded! [Now Darring tries to crank back on the hold some more, twisting the neck of Bam in a Rear Chinlock, but Cam yells at Bam to fight his way out. Bam nods and then tries to shake his way out of the hold before ramming a few good shots into the chest of The Legend. Darring lets go of the hold despite his tenacity and Bam then rushes the ropes again...] CHANEY: What's he doing? WATTERS: Insanity. Trying to repeat the same thing. [Sean once again goes for the Headlock, but Bam isn't falling for it a third time and shoves him away. Darring comes off the ropes but Bam LEAPFROGS over him which the crowd can't believe! When Darring comes back off the ropes, Bam CRACKS him in the chest with a vicious Running Dropkick! The crowd goes nuts as Bam rolls out of the Dropkick and raises a fist in the air while on his knees.] WATTERS: I love this guy! He's agile, he's quick and holy crap he can maul you. He's like a grizzly bear acrobat. CHANEY: It's true! No doubt Cam "Slam" Markham has imparted that viciousness in him, but he combines it well with feats of agility and like I said, the kid is only 25 years old. He has a VERY high ceiling in that ring. [Cam yells at Bammer to go for the cover and he does just that.] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO! CHANEY: Kickout by Darring! Darring has a lot in him, but Bam finally has the advantage and he's going to press it. WATTERS: He's gonna merc Darring if he doesn't do something. [Darring shoves Bam away for a moment, but now the big man has the advantage. The veteran gets CRACKED across the back of his head with an elbow followed by a massive Vader-like Hammer forearm across the face. He fires off about two more until the veteran now finds himself in the corner. Bam follows up and grabs the skull of Darring in the corner before flashing him a smile...] [THUNK!] CHANEY: Good grief! We saw him match Headbutt for Headbutt with Big Boss Hogg two weeks ago! And looks like those strikes are becoming a calling card for Bam. WATTERS: Damn, look at Darring's eyes. Glazed the hell over after that shot. [Sure enough, The Legend is sunken in the corner leaning against the ropes. It's at that point when Bam charges into the corner and CRUSHES him in the chest with a Running Shoulder Tackle in the corner. Darring would have fallen after the impact of the move but Bam hooks him by the head before he can go down. He throws the arm up and SNAPS Darring up and over with a huge Throwing Vertical Suplex!] CHANEY: What a throw by Bam! Darring is NOT small by any means and he made that suplex out of the corner look easy! WATTERS: And he ain't done yet! [Bammer charges from out of the corner after Sean Darring lands and then nails a HUGE Knee Drop with hangtime right onto his chest! Darring gets the wind knocked out of him and a cover comes next by Bam.] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO!!! WATTERS: I'm not surprised that Darring kicked out of that, but that's a lot of punishment he's been taking from Bam since that Dropkick! CHANEY: True enough! And now... Bam's got him on the shoulders! Where's he taking The Legend? [Darring gets hoisted onto the shoulders of The Big Bad Bull from Boulder and he's looking for the throwing Snake Eyes in the corner that he likes to call The Idiot Toss, however Bam gets left looking the fool when Darring desperately rolls his way out and lands on his feet, sending Bam crashing chest first into the corner! Bam comes back and tries to kick Darring, but The Legend thinks quickly and catches the leg before SNAPPING it over with a Dragon Screw Leg Whip!] CHANEY: There's that quick thinking by The Legend! Take the big man's legs out! Get him on his back and every man is the same size. WATTERS: That's a good strategy to keep from being pulverized by Bam! Now watch Darring go to work! [The Legend does just what Watters says to do and works over the leg. Bam is still reeling from the Dragon Screw when he drags Bammer by his leg to the bottom rope. He jumps using the ropes for leverage before dropping all his weight down on the knee of Bam! Cam screams on behalf of his client as Darring goes for the drop a second time!] CHANEY: We're more than a few minutes into this match now and it's been back and forth. Bam overpowering The Legend for a while, but now he's about to go back on the attack and work over the leg of Bam Markham. WATTERS: Come on, Bam, right hand! [But Bam isn't in position to use it as Darring continues to kick away at the leg of Bammer. He fires off more shots to the big mountain man's knee and then helps him up to his feet in the corner. Bam tries to shove him away, but Darring comes back with a Knife Edge Chop. And another! And another! And another! The shots stun Bam just enough to give him the chance to attack on the ropes.] [He lands another kick to the left leg of Bam, but he gets surprised when Bam CRACKS him in the jaw with a vicious Forearm Smash! The blow stuns Darring and knocks him for a loop, but when Bam is too slow to follow up immediately, he grabs the leg and snaps him back down to the mat with a Knee Breaker! Bam winces in pain when Darring snaps him down with a second Dragon Screw taking the big monster back to the mat!] WATTERS: Wow! I'm impressed with the old codger! He's doing what he can to survive Bam. CHANEY: He's got that Inverted Indian Deathlock locked in now! Center of the ring! Where's Bam going to go? [The crowd cheers the two men as Bam is locked up in the clutches of one of The Legend's key submission maneuvers. He stood up in the hold trying to keep Bam at bay, but Cam shouts instructions from the floor telling him not to tap out. Bam bit his wrist tape-covered arm for the moment before Bam tried inching closert to the ropes... [He can almost get there...] [Almost...] [HE MAKES IT!] CHANEY: Bam makes the ropes! But how much have these attacks on the knee slowed Bam down? WATTERS: Darring better hope he didn't just piss off the big man. He looks like the type to hold grudges. CHANEY: Yeah... I know somebody like that. [Darring breaks his grip on the submission attempt but now has a weakness to possibly exploit against the big man. He goes to try and lock in a Figure Four Leg Lock trying to follow up the submission game against the larger man, but Bam gets his good foot up and shoves Darring all the way back to the corner. When he tries to roll back to his feet, Darring is already back on the attack with a pair of Knife Edge Chops. Bam absorbs the shots and then SMACKS The Legend across the chest with a killer Clubbing Forearm that doubles him over.] CHANEY: We're just over the halfway mark now and now both men are fighting it out! He stops him in his tracks and charges off the ropes. Bam misses a big Clothesline from the rebound! WATTERS: What's he... OH, CRAP! [When Darring comes back off the rebound, Markham MURDERS him almost dead with a HUGE Running Crossbody that flattens Darring unexpectedly! Bam stays on top for the cover!] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHANEY: How did he kick out of THAT?! WATTERS: It's called being tough. Darring's won more titles in his wrestling career than there are stars in the sky and he didn't do that by being a pushover. [Sure enough, Bam limps around on his one good leg, but Darring looks much worse for wear right now after getting mowed down by Bammer. With Cam cheering him on from the outside, The Big Bad Bull from Boulder throws Darring into the corner chest first and LAYS into him with a vicious Clubbing Forearm to the back. Bam throws another good shot no doubt to weaken the back of The Legend before he takes him up...] CHANEY: Bearhug now by Bam! Darring is almost Bam's height, but Bam has that strength advantage with this tried and true power hold! WATTERS: He's gonna turn Darring's spine into jelly when this is all said and done. [Bam is now playing a perfect game by working over the back of The Legend in the center of the ring so he has nowhere to go. He also continues to elevate him off the mat and shakes him around violently several times. Darring grits his teeth and tries breaking the grip of the powerhouse by getting between his arms, which only makes Bam shake harder!] WATTERS: When I called this man a mix of a grizzly bear and an acrobat? CHANEY: Yeah? WATTERS: All grizzly, Chaney. All grizzly! [The crowd lets out chants of "DARRING! DARRING! DARRING!" all the while with The Legend still trapped in the submission hold. He tries once again to pry Bam's arms loose, but the big man is just too strong. Darring decides to get clever and get old school when he boxes the ears of Bam! He stops him in his tracks with the first Bell Clap before firing off a second one to disorient the big man. Bammer returns fire by squeezing harder into the hold, so Sean Darring fires off a few Forearm Smashes to try and force Bam to break...] CHANEY: Darring doing everything he can to break the hold... no! Bam catches him with a boot, now trying to take him up for the Argentine Backbreaker... WATTERS: No! Slick! [When Bam breaks the Bearhug, he opts for an Argentine Backbreaker, but The Legend escapes from behind and rolls him up with a Crucifix pin!] ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHANEY: CLOSE ONE! WATTERS: He needs... nope, nevermind! [When Darring tries to stand up to deal out more damage, Bam catches him with a kick to the gut, rolls him over with a sloppy Snapmare and then unleashes a NASTY kick to the back that he has been working over! Darring arches his back in pain and falls back to the mat, allowing Bam to sit down... SENTON!] CHANEY: Bam just NAILED him with that Senton! That's it! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [Bam can't believe it and holds up three fingers to the referee, but the referee comes back with two, forcing Bam to grit his teeth and try to think of something else.] CHANEY: No idea how the hell he kicked out of that, but he kicked out of that Senton! Bam's so good at throwing his weight around and using his strength to control the opposition, but Darring is still in this! WATTERS: Darring needs a new strategy aside from just blocking blows with his body! [Cam points at the fallen body of Darring and Bam nods. He tries to shake the pain free from his leg for a moment before picking up Darring...] CHANEY: He finally gets that Rack Backbreaker submission! Darring probably isn't used to this sort of thing, is he? WATTERS: Being ragdolled by a giant 25-year-old? I'm thinking not! [The Big Bad Bull from Boulder continues to apply the pressure on him and cranks back onto the hold after all the punishment done to Darring and his body and back.. However, the wise veteran saves himself by wrapping both hands around the neck of Bam and CRANKING BACK until Bam lets go and Sean slips behind him, hold still locked in.] CHANEY: GREAT counter there by Darring! Into that Sleeper Drop! Great move and now both men are down and we're down to less than three minutes! WATTERS: It's been Markham versus Darring and both guys have been trying to chip away at one another to see who's going to fall first! [Darring takes a second to cradle his back while Bam takes a breather to try and get to the opposite corner. Cam tells him to stay there and give himself some space from Darring. Both men are starting to rise, but it's Bam who gets up just a little bit quicker.] CHANEY: Uh-oh, Bam has Darring locked in his sights. WATTERS: What's Bam thinking? [Bam leans near the ropes and rushes out of the corner like a rocket, however Darring sees him coming and shoves Bam into the empty turnbuckle, disorienting the big man. Sean sneaks up behind him and with all the strength he can muster, turns Bam around and lets him have it with a few good chops to the chest. He then pulls Bam out of the corner by his neck in a Cravate-type hold and then twists him around, SNAPPING him down to the canvas with a big Neckbreaker! He stands up and delivers a vicious Knee Drop to Bam's forehead and then goes for The Legend Lock!] CHANEY: He's trying to keep Bam down, but no! Cam must have warned him about that hold! Bam's fighting his way free before he can roll him over. WATTERS: And now Bam's trying to murder him! [Sure enough, Bam elbows his way free out of the hold before The Legend can do anything else. He stands up to his full height and then tries to elevate Sean...] CHANEY: Bam Bomb coming up.. NO! SUNSET FLIP BY DARRING! ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [Bam uses his legs and boxes the ears of Darring to free himself. Bam slowly rolls backwards and meets Darring with a boot to the chest. He scoops him up over the shoulder and tries another one of his signature moves, the Idiot Toss... however, Darring sneaks out the back door again and lands another neck-based move in the form of an Inverted DDT!] CHANEY: Now another attack on the neck! Great counter by Darring who has Bam's moves scouted pretty well. He's trying to fight for that Legend Lock! WATTERS: He better make sure Bam STAYS down the next time he tries to use it. [With just a minute and a half to go and the crowd reaching a fever pitch between the two, Darring elbows the back of Bam's head repeatedly to soften him up. He tries for an Interved Russian Legsweep when Bam RUSHES him into the corner again and delivers a shoulder. He scoops Darring up...] CHANEY: IDIOT TOSS! WATTERS: A perfectly named move for this guy trying to submit Bam! [The Running Snake Eyes LAUNCHES Darring into the corner like a lawn dart and now Bam goes for a cover.] CHANEY: One minute on the clock! Can Bam do it? ONE! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WATTERS: No! Darring's still alive somehow! Jeez, this guy! [Darring grits his teeth, but Bam sees a chance to go up top so he does just that. Cam cautions against it, but Bam doesn't listen to his manager for once, opting to head up top...] CHANEY: He's got a Top Rope Headbutt that he likes to call When Bulls Fly. No way Darring kicks out if he hits this. WATTERS: I dunno... [Thirty seconds left and Bam flies...] CHANEY: NO WATER IN THE POOL! BAM MISSES AND NOW... DARRING HAS HIM! WATTERS: Damn, I think he just might! CHANEY: LEGEND LOCK! HE HAS BAM ROLLED FORWARD! THE LEGEND LOCK APPLIED! [The crowd goes NUTS now as The Legend Lock is finally applied with Darring cranking back on Bam's neck and shoulders! He continues to pull as Cam yells for Bam not to tap out! He points any direction he can, trying to get Bam to turn over and relieve pressure from the hold! It's cranked in...] [DING! DING! DING!] [Darring releases the hold, hearing the bell and knowing that he just won the match! Bam falls to the side while the referee looks up to the time keeper.] WATTERS: He did it! Bam submitted! He tapped out that big bastard! CHANEY: Did he? My angle wasn't good there. [The crowd watches as Sean Darring looks to the official and then back to Bam. He shakes his head and the announcement is made...] BUFFINGTON: I have just been informed that this match... has gone the time limit and as a result, is a DRAW!!!!!!! WATTERS: Guess he didn't tap him out, but Darring thought he did! CHANEY: He had Bam in that Legend Lock and who knows if he could have, but... the result stands. This Group D Match is a draw and as a result of said Draw, both men get five points each, meaning... WATTERS: MEANING that Pat Gordon Jr. is still in the driver's seat right now! CHANEY: Indeed. These two fought tooth and nail, but a draw only gets five points. A win gets 25 points, meaning that Pat Gordon Jr. is still in the lead. With that being said, we close out tonight's show with a hell of a main event between two hungry men looking to become SCW's first Lonestar Champion. We've still got a LOT more of this tournament and don't forget, everybody in the Group D Block still has two matches left. There's still plenty of time to turn things around. [Inside the ring, Bam is back on his feet, holding the back of his neck not looking that happy with the news. Darring, the same thing as he cradles his back after the punishment suffered from Bam. Both men meet in the ring and simply stare at one another, knowing somewhere down the line they would need to settle this. The two go their separate ways, but not before the crowd continues a thunderous "SCW" chant for the match they just saw.] CHANEY: Until next time, we thank you for tuning into SCW Rampage! For Larry "The Crusher" Watters, I'm Eric Chaney. Good night everybody! [The screen fades to black and then begins showing stills from events that happened during the show as the song "Legendary" by Skillet again plays over the screen. After a lot of hard guitar riffs and drums, finally we hear that final lyric...] #LEGENDARY!# [The music fades out, as do the picture stills and all that is left is the black screen] (c) 2019 RSE, Inc., All Rights Reserved
